The Ninja Gaiden fanbase is so autistic they outright killed their series. Imagine telling people NOT to buy the remaster/modern port of their game. >But it's not the right version!!
Autism.
lol it really does sound moronic when you put it like that.
But you have to understand, ninja gaiden 2 sigma is an entirely different game from ninja gaiden 2. When I say the collection sucks for having sigma 2 instead of ng2 I say it WISHING the poor bastards who buy it on steam could experience the final ludo kino that was Xbox 360 ng2. It is so much better so so so much better.
Emulation is extremely simple and there are tons of guides.
But yes, that is something you could do. Sigma 1 doesn't really need to be modded (though I think there is one mod that slightly changes a few things to be more like Black). Sigma 2 has a single very good and well know mod that fixes basically all of its issues.
Alternatively, you could always just emulate Black now, and then wait for NG2 to be emulatable, which for some people, it already is! Progress is going well enough on 360 emulation, though it did take quite a while to get there.

I guess I can use this opportunity to learn how to emulate shit.
black it is then. I liked the dmc collection a lot so. Maybe I have fun with this too

Good time to do so, yeah.
If you wanna know how badly Sigma 2 was butchered, this write up is pretty solid. Lotta evidence.
Watch from 4:25 for a minute or two for gameplay from base II, then go back to 2:00 minutes and watch for the Sigma gameplay, and you'll see just how fricked it everything is.

I don't like some of Sigma's changes. Ryu's village that Doku sets fire to was a lot better in Black and vanilla. Fighting him at that point was unnecessary and Ryu's death scene in Sigma is shittier because of the padding they added to it. Its also a lot easier since you can heal yourself quickly. And honestly some of it just doesn't look better to me at all either. Alma fight in the church comes to mind. Black looks better here.
NG Vanilla was an unfinished mess. A mosou game disguised as a Ninja Gaiden title. Sigma 2 fixes everything. It’s completely balls to the wall. You don’t need a mod either the game is fun as frick. Just try it and see
>Install the Sigma 2 black mod >enemies die before you even get to perform your full combo on them >well at least theres more enemies >press light attack with DS once >half of them die
oh yeah >have to install cheat engine and like 3 gay mod loaders and launch them every time to even play this “restoration mod” >sigma 2 is too easy >no why do these grabs kill me in one hit on higher difficulties sigma 2 is too hard >NGB/S has exploration bullshit
I’ll stick to Sigma 2 NO mods please. If you want an action game without puzzle bullshit just play 2 on the master collection. If you want a buggy unfinished mosou then feel free to play vanilla 2 and see how shit it is for yourself. Then you’ll see why they didnt put it for the MASTER COLLECTION.
Black and 2 are better but the Sigma games are good in their own right. People act like Sigma 2 was bad but it's still better than the majority of action games.
RE is the best solely if you're a tryhard homosexual though.
most obnoxious enemy design in the series, zero beauty to be found in its drab ass nothing levels, the absolute worst bosses known to mankind where every non ng2/ng1 boss is a total nuisance to fight except epinogos and masked man... but it has the unarguable best Ryu with the most moves, versatility, and pure style of any game. His moveset is so big it dwarfs 2 and 1 even though the game has less weapons, and four rings and steel on bone alone is enough to make him feel better to use than the other games, let alone cicada surge and the rest of the amazing shit in his skilltree. you have to be an autist to like RE basically.
fish really aren't as bad as people make them out to be and dogs get folded like micro IS ninjas, you just can't throw them. On top of that, the other enemies you fight in ng2 are godlike outside of gimmick ones like the giant fish in brazil and the second to last chapter with elizabet and genshin. The reason I say this is because they're both challenging to kill AND they don't auto dodge/parry out of your combos unless you launch them. Like, come on bro no way IN HELL you preferr fighting the most generic mook in ng3 and watching them parry or dodge mid combo after you hit them compared to wrecking mooks in 2.
I finally got the chance to play through Black a few month ago. Man what an overrated game. The combat is good, but the level design and platforming is so lame, combined with the awful camera. Plus a few of the boss fights were just unfun, like that garbage helicopter fight. Very disappointed after all the hype here.
great game
terrible fanbase
>terrible fanbase
Who? All 100 of us left? Get for real. We are a blip on the radar at best. Go talk crap about real actual fanbases out there.

NG2 was like NG Black crossed with DMC in some ways. Fantastic game.
Not that sigma 2 shit. Frick KT for pretending these deleted the source files and pretending Sigma 2 is superior.
Sigma 2 is fine. Actually it’s the best Ninja Gaiden game.
no
so should I play ninja gaiden black?
Emulate it if you have no xbox. And yes.
Sigma 1 is fine, to be honest. it's Sigma 2 that's a real travesty.
o i thought it was ported into pc like dmc or something
Sadly, only the Sigma version in the form of the master collection.
Again, Sigma 1 is mostly the same core as Black, but Sigma 2 was awful. That said, there is a mod that fixes it, if you are willing.
so I can just get the master collection and install mods?
I'm not familiar with emulators and roms n what not
Emulation is extremely simple and there are tons of guides.

hold x to win
uh keep your dmc killer
>dmc

pick one

There is no need to call it a killer when its the absolute peak of its genre.
NGB that is. Not Sigma
It'a nothing like Devil May Cry, pleb
Don't compare a great game to button mashing simulator
Agreed, DMCbabbies don't even understand what they're missing out on
DMCV Dante and V are literally button mashers.

The series needs more enemy variation. It ain't fun if you're fighting waves of the same enemies for the entirety of the game.

>slash slash slash
>izuna drop
nice gameplay, now take your botched master collection and shove it up your urethra
more like ninja may kill itself
dead franchise.
Ninja gaiden has a pretty good legacy in the nioh games, best combat in any action rpg
RE is the best NG game!
Frick purist tryhard homosexuals.
RE is the best solely if you're a tryhard homosexual though.

In NG2 half the enemies you face are fricking fish and dogs
> the absolute worst bosses known to mankind where every non ng2/ng1 boss is a total nuisance to fight except epinogos and masked man
Now you have a point here lol. Enemy gameplay is still better.

The hype is in 2. It’s a streamlined game where the focus is on the action and not half-baked exploration.
