But yeah, the game is kind of the result of nearly a decade of obsessive fighting game autism, 1cc'ing old beltscrolling beat em ups, and playing Devil May Cry / Ninja Gaiden / Bayonetta / etc. I had so many ideas brewing in my head for the kind of combat system I wanted to play from all that, and after a while I had to just make it happen!
That, and the character and setting is based on a 2 year TTRPG campaign I had awhile back that's super close to my heart. I had a design done for my character, and I really wanted to share my waifu with the world.
