I haven't played D2 since 2020 and I am jonesing to play again. I missed out on the Valentines Day sale when it was $13. I would love to play it on a big TV with a controller.
It's a double edge sword. For melee classes it's perfect. Ranged classes is a different story. Your teleports always go a certain distance, and if you cast something like blizzard you can't really fire it off in front of an enemy and end up casting it on the enemy. You know, for those extra fast mobs. Still playable as a spell caster since I did a poison necro and a blizz sorc, but I had the most fun as a frenzy barb.
idk how that would ever be very enjoyable (for the original) because you would have to use an analog stick for the mouse cursor wouldn't you?
You only use the mouse cursor in menus. Otherwise you move the stick to move your character that direction and hot key skills to your face and right shoulder buttons.
So like what was this shit I heard that within 6 hours of the ladder starting there was already someone selling a bunch of sur/jah runes for 10$ and there was a d-clone as well.
They have still to update the game proper in like 2 years added in new stuff like they said they would. Shilling 4 hard when no one fricking likes it because blizard does not understand the diablo series.
Been watching a lot of speedruns later. Bruh dude was about to go from 1 to ubers on a barb in 7 hours with fricking garbage lv 20 runewords on garbage items getting to lv 75 or someshit. They can clear 1 to hell on a sorc in under 3:30 hours. This autism amazes me just wish they would try other builds instead of the best for X class once you've seen each class every run is the same, temped to start trying this myself with "lesser" builds.
>barb in 7 hours with fricking garbage lv 20 runewords on garbage items
Not like you have enough time to get other items for crushing blow. Physical still sucks unless you get loaded with some over powered rune words, otherwise you're just waiting for percentage base damage to do a lot of the work.
D2 with a gamepad is so good. The UI alone is worth it.
>D2 with a controller
I assume you guys are talking about the remaster. I'll have to figure out how to do this with the original, can't believe I've never thought of it before.
idk how that would ever be very enjoyable (for the original) because you would have to use an analog stick for the mouse cursor wouldn't you?
said it would probably be shitty with the original. I tried playing Torchlight 2 with a controller (mimicing mouse clicks and movements) and it fricking sucks. never feels quite right.
I hope you enjoy your carpal tunnel anon.
My left hand is showing light symptoms from keyboard gaming for so many days of long sessions back when I was a teenager. It's not my good hand, but it sucks knowing that my body is decrepifying and it saddens me that I can't enjoy playing vidya all day either.
Start grip training both your flexor and extensor muscles, i.e., crushing grip training and rubber band expansion grip training. You want to do both to balance antagonistic muscle groups, as with any weight training or resistance training, so as not to have an imbalance. Start with extensor training, as you're doing flexor/crushing training by gripping your mouse all the time as well as typing. You have an imbalance in the muscles of your hands and forearms, hence carpal tunnel.
This is a simplistic answer but a viable solution. All anons that game a lot should do this to prevent the onset of the issue.
Look up Captains of Crush grip trainers on Amazon or anywhere else you want to shop, and then look at the other recommended products. You will see resistance rubber bands with differing colors which represent various levels of tension in the bands.
1 templar's might so far (6 ik cages and about dozen magic sacreds which could've been unique), 1 zod from cows, 1 deaths web. managed to build infinity and enigma, and other goodies. runes are rare and you gotta push it, but they're doable. Game awards persistence, it's a grind though.
Playing the Psion class for The Hell 3 after the anon said it was the easiest. Definitely much smoother experience than regular mages or other ranged characters, especially once I got a book of mana shield.
I loved this game so much it might be my #1 or #2 favorite game. Definitely #3 at the minimum
But.
I only played it for the story and atmosphere.
I can't imagine grinding for gear or stats in this game, or any games like this. I don't understand the appeal at all. This is a game that I recognize does not have very good gameplay, but I still like it as much as I do for everything else. It's an oxymoron
most people are the other way around. I still have no clue about the lore and I remember that even back in the days (20 years ago) I used to just listen to music or watch some family guy episodes while doing meph runs.

How many fricking bots do you even need to run for this? You can't tell me people are doing this shit legit.
Not many it seems. From what Ive learned the counter does not reset. So they rush it to as high as possible before the ladder resets. Then bot to find SOJ's and boom done.
Had no idea they didn't reset the SOJ counter thats so moronic. The runes tho thats sketchy as frick and impossible clearly you can dupe still. I know with 2.4 or wtv a bunch of items got deleted due to duping.
>Had no idea they didn't reset the SOJ counter thats so moronic.
Huh, guess I can still learn something new about this game even in 2024. Although I'm not even really surprised that Blizz frick up like that.
growing up i had a shitty computer and this was one of the few games that actually ran on the fricker. played the everliving shit out of it and made some friends online.
Tips and tricks for singleplayer. >gather runes and mats >copy save file >make 1/1/1 cta >delete save and replace with old one >retry until 666 >profit
At a certain point, maybe.
I always have fun with Assassin using self-found items until partway through nightmare mode. After that, the gear just becomes non-viable and I just start a MF character and it becomes Skinner Box: The Game.

I can imagine, I am excited to play it

Still never found my jah rune. Found 2 zods and a cham, but no jah or ber.
So, Diablo thread now, right?
Holy Grail Edition!
I hope you enjoy your carpal tunnel anon.

Maybe stop being a fatty?

You're welcome anons.
didn't know about any of this, brave new world indeed.
What do you mean by brave new world? Anyway, I hope the information is of use to you anon(s).
Carpal tunnel is nerve damage anon.
Yes. The exercises he described are preventative.
hello saiyansc nice bideos
Frick off Larry
>archon staff
all the staves i got are magical frick me
i've never seen a ber, never seen a zod, but i've seen cham.

before I'm start losing my mind, I just installed d2 and plugy on linux after a while of playing d2r
didnt plugy have some quick keys to transfer items between inventory and stash and viceversa? like control+click or shift+click?
Basemod does have those shortcuts
Oh! that was it. Can't live without them.
Been playing with D2DX, really neat stuff.

I take it back, I cannot kill Diablo at all, he absolutely ass rapes me and I'm level 26, both melee builds I tried previously had it much easier
Runes only come to you when you aren't looking, if you chase them they will elude you.

They still won't sell us the real Warcraft III though
Dude, there are links for every single patch in the forums. You can download them. You can play them.
That would mean waiting for Blizzard to remove their heads from their asses and admit they were wrong.

same for socketing and ethbugging
Just use Hero Editor
game is literally just a slot machine with extra steps
A slot machine with better dopamine release you mean.
At a certain point, maybe.

Yes, after you beat the game, which is when the game actually starts and where you will spend 99.9999999% of your gameplay time.
I can only play D1 vanilla. Everything else misses the point.
>The Hell Mod is garbage
Give two valid complaints
