Assassin is the one who can kill bosses off-screen.
Lightning Sentry is the "strongest" to get initial kills and corpses.
Death sentry is the cheat trap, it's Corpse Explosion, and it kills with Percentage of the corpse HP it explodes. And opponent corpses have crazy high inflation, hence this trap scales the highest against mobs and elite mobs.
Fire? Absolutely, they do damage in portions and that's why it's always blocked. Lightning? Wrong. Lightning traps are OP, and for everything immune to lightning there is corpse sentry.
barbarian shouts away Black person packs and then selects some poor Black person for single combat wherein he stunlocks him
there is no safer class than him
>zero mobility >zero damage >boring playstyle >so bad that even when fully geared it will be halfway to the boss by the time other players have killed it

first two meme arrows are blatantly incorrect
the other two memearrows are your shitty takes
Paladin blessed hammer build can do the same things but also won't die after a couple of hits.
>hammerdin
no he can't
the usual player will also get filtered by targeting hammers without enigma and die to stunlock because of bad hp or blocklock because using holy shield every few minutes requires too much brainpower for an average hammertard
meanwhile barbchad of literally any build will run around with thousands of life, def, res and mana while smashing everything with his mighty berserk dick or cutting shit to pieces with ww or just zoom around the map like sonic on crack with frenzy, or all of the above at the same time because the skilltree allows it
Might give D2 another crack, haven't played it since its release.
iirc my initial playthrough was a necro and by the time i reached the third level i was filtered by just how shitty it felt compared to the original Diablo.
Upon considering D2's lasting appeal and conceding its influence upon later games that i really enjoyed like TQ and to lesser extent GD and POE (not so much) I would like a recommendation from the based autists in this thread as to what would be my best re-entry point into D2. >prefer melee >solo/offline >like crafting with a side of duping
which patch/mod is the one for me, will pirate and fiddle with wine.
From memory this is my ranking of the summoned creatures.
Revive >>>>>> Iron golem > Shadow Master >>>>>>>>*Significant_power_gap>>> Skeletons > Blood Golem >> Fire Golen = Earth Golem = Valkyrie >>> Dog Shit > Bear = Wolves = Vines
Revives are indestructible. The game is just designed in such a way that mobs has Giga HP + small damage, wheres and player has Giga damage + small HP.
Revive is a hack that abuses the fact that mobs have giga inflated HP and bosses have such low damage which is suited against players low HP. So the bosses will never be able to kill a Revive of their own minions.
They are effectively indestructible, and their only weakness is their duration timer.
Iron golem isn't especially tanky, but it's special because it can give your party an extra Paladin Aura if you create the Iron golem from a weapon which has an Aura.
Master assassin is the true star of summoned creatures. It doesn't have duration timer like the Revives do.
It's the most tanky of your summons (if you disregard revives), this b***h will survive the bosses for several minutes, way more time than you need to finish them off.
And when she attacks the mobs, you can actually see significant chunks of their HP go down bit by bit.
The Skeletons and the Blood golem are the standard benchmark for everything in the game.
They are tanky enough to withstand the bosses. Blood Golem is helped by its life leech, otherwise it isn't all that noteworthy.
Fire Golem, Earth Golem and Valkyries are painfully mediocre, they die much more often than the Blood Golem does.
Last the Druid's summoned creatures. They really got the short end of the stick.
Hell difficulty the Bear just dies in 1 hit by a magic spell. This thing doesn't have any Magic resistance and gets fricked up immediately when battle starts.
Wolves are dog shit too.
The vines, they always get themselves into situation where they are the first casualty, even though their skillset encourage them to stay in background to help group.
As a kid who spent every hour out of school, minimum 8-10 hours a day from launch til 2008, and minmaxed every single class and spec in my time, barb was by far and away the best class, sometimes you could get away with saying amazon, after a specific ladder season.
Wizard,Uninstall, that is.
Highest VIT to HP multiplier?
pure masculinity
In terms of gameplay Barbarian always sucks.
I play solo selffound and barb is pure trash for that (shouter is lame)
2h ww barb can beat the game tidily with shopped equipment and some cb (which can be crafted)
It's because OP is fake and gay.

Traps are garbage in Hell.
Fire? Absolutely, they do damage in portions and that's why it's always blocked. Lightning? Wrong. Lightning traps are OP, and for everything immune to lightning there is corpse sentry.
Nah, you're garbage in hell.
You could say he's leaps and bounds above the competition
Amazon though. First class I played, and still the best.
Barbarian is probably the weakest at higher difficulties. Paladin has more defenses and healing potential.

Neck Romancer.
Barb is pretty objectively the worst class though
>zero mobility

When d2 was new me and a buddy played frog clan barbs that used daggers and frenzy and leap attack and jumped around the map like morons. Good times

how did barb play before the patch that fricked the balance up (1.10)? was he playable from level 1 or did you have to twink him out still
The rubberbanding and disconnects in this game is unbearable. literally unplayable
What should I run for the new ladder /vrpg/ros? I always go summon/bone necro or hammerdin. I'm thinking maybe druid or amazon
Beastmaster druid is comfy.
How do I play this game? Do I only pick 2 skills? the lack of hotbar filters me hard
PS. Frick corpse runs
You assign skills to hotkeys and switch between them as needed duh.
For many builds 2 skills really are enough.
This isn't Dark Souls, you can just quit and restart, corpse will be conveniently teleported to the town.
>For many builds 2 skills really are enough
Blizzard sorceress and... ?
The uninstall wizard. Diablo was never an RPG.
Because of you I made a barbarian and I struggled killing diablo. Frick you
For LoD? Assasin fullspecced into Lightning traps.
For Resurrected? Don't care.
Barbarian. Runner up being zeal paladin.
Just play necrochad and you can have 12 barbarian summons running around.
Might give D2 another crack, haven't played it since its release.

It has always been Amazon. Run around, throw lightning, farm easily.
Necro master race
also, Sorc is much fun and dynamic
>>also, Sorc is much fun and dynamic
??
That's the assassin though.
Melee assssins are a thing, Kick assassins, Trap assasin, sumoning assassin.
