just beat it as necromancer. it was fun. i can see playing it again as the other classes but can someone explain to me how people autistically play this endlessly for years on end? it doesn't seem all that deep
did you play through nightmare and hell?
it is incredibly deep when you start to really get into the meta, if that is your thing.
also people just get addicted to the flow of the combat.

Welcome to all ARPGs, I personally just like the grind and with power-level of items in diablo II. You see actual difference when you progress your gear. Best example? Zealdin or Smitter once you reach 50%+ DS.

I finished it on normal last night, it was pretty fun but the act bosses were a bit of a drag because they all felt like damage sponges. Could just be that I was underleveled or undergeared, I didn't stop to farm EXP or items at any point. Whoever signed off on Duriel can eat my shit forever.
I'm going to try a few more classes on Normal before I go into Nightmare. I miss being a screen-deleting zoomer like in D3 and I don't like frequently going back to town to buy mana potions but I'm having a good time.
let me guess, d3 was your first diablo.
d3 was very much casualized, not that its is necessarily a bad thing, but it is substantially easier then d2. thats why all of the hard core fans b***hed so much when d3 came out.
you have to earn everything you get in d2 and you better not frick up because you usually only get one shot. the satisfaction of creating a perfect character is much more rewarding.
