>always online morons finally silenced
>optimization vastly improved, game runs beautifully and has targeted FPS, framerate cap, etc
>harem coomers finally silenced
>only slight server issues and outages, 10% of the amount of problems a Path of Exile league launch or a World of Warcraft patch release has
>plenty of people loving it and enjoying the simple old school style of the game, tens of thousands of players making new friends and reconnecting with old ones
So, what's the crying poorgay contrarian Gankertard cope now? Still clinging to character faces you can't even see unless you zoom in? Is that the hill you're going to die on?

It's literally always online. Your online characters cannot be used offline and vice-versa. There also isn't any LAN support.
There is singleplayer, which is not online. The point of "always online" is that even singleplayer games require an internet connection, which D3 literally did.
>the Blizzard corporation is my close friend and I take personal offense at you pointing out their dishonest practices
>Pretty sure that's literally always been the case
It wasn't. I have D2 installed right now. All you needed was the IP to connect to. It only differentiated between regular characters and expansion characters. Literally never had to sign up for battle.net ever.
I fail to see how that makes it 'always online' anyway though. I spent the last few hours playing when other people were complaining about servers because I made my char offline. No rubberbanding or problems whatsoever. There is literally, not figuratively, a mode to play in that does not require online.
>because I made my char offline
try to take that character into a lan party or try to connect with your friends without battle.net
Why the frick would I LAN? Who the frick uses LAN anymore? Literally no one. Not even boomers use LAN anymore. How many fricking games nowadays use LAN?
It's not always online.
And now you can NEVER use that character you just made in multiplayer. That is the fricking point, you've gimped your character and you are somehow saying that this is a good thing? Frick off, atleast the old game didn't completely lock your characters to 2 mode of play.
You're lying if you say all you played was LAN, and if you played open bnet with people you were just playing with cheaters, so it's just hard to feel sympathy for your lost feature of worthlessness
>no i didn't mean always online single player duh!!!! i meant always online multiplayer!!
embarrassing
>the Blizzard corporation is my close friend and I take personal offense at you pointing out their dishonest practices
The frick are you talking about? You outright lied about it being always online.
You really just run around spouting criticism memes without knowing what they actually mean, huh
Your character literally always has to be online for you to be able to progress that character you stupid fricking homosexuals.
>I CAN LAUNCH THE GAME OFFLINE SO IT HAS OFFLINE SUPPORT
>>I CAN LAUNCH THE GAME OFFLINE SO IT HAS OFFLINE SUPPORT
is that not what that means?
No, that's not what it means. I can boot up literally any online-only game by clicking the exe. Doesn't mean it has offline support.
>I'm pretty sure your singleplayer character is a local save
And you used to be able to use that character in this thing called "multiplayer" with your friends interchangeably without having to connect to blizzard servers.
Ah so you admit that it's not always online. Also Wrong. D2 online is Battle.net
Direct connect through IP is completely separate from that. Get it through you dementia ridden forgetful old man head.
ONMLINE = BATTLE.NET
>D2 online is Battle.net
>Direct connect through IP is completely separate from that
why are zoomies such paypiggies for big money homosexuals
of all the things you could complain about; the no mod support, awful launch, no ladder.
You complain about LAN?
Not even fricking Open bnet but actual LAN?
Are you moronic?
>why are you complaining about a feature that was removed from a 20 year old game
people like you are the reason multiplayer games don't have ai bots anymore
>what is singleplayer
I'm pretty sure your singleplayer character is a local save.
Actually the reason why singleplayer characters can't be used in battlle.net is BECAUSE the character is saved locally. So players can cheat but who gives a frick about some idiot cheating his single player characters.
that's all open battlenet was, just a cancer for cringe morons to show off their epic item editing skills
Stop conflating the direct IP shit to the always online issue.
>always online
you have never in the history of diablo 2, been able to play your battle.net characters offline in singleplayer. Vice versa, you have never been able to play your singleplayer characters in battle.net
>IP direct connect shit
these characters are unverified, non-battle.net characters. You're basically circumventing real online for direct connection so people can cheat all they want and play with mod if they please.
Blizzard getting rid of the IP connect feature sucks but that doesn't make the game always online.
>you have never in the history of diablo 2, been able to play your battle.net characters offline in singleplayer. Vice versa, you have never been able to play your singleplayer characters in battle.net
You're thinking of ladder characters. You can start a character in single player, play it as much as you want, and then log onto battle.net any time and join games with other players. Claiming you couldn't do that is absolutely moronic and shameless.
Pretty sure that's literally always been the case. You had characters that you made offline, and then you had to sign up for battle.net to create your characters and that shit would get deleted if you didn't log in every few months and your battle.net characters couldn't be played offline. So not sure what the difference here is.
>So not sure what the difference here is.
The difference is that you're wrong. The way it always worked is that you create a character, and you can use that character in single player, local multiplayer, or battle.net without any distinction. moron.
This is wrong. Now everyone knows you don't have a fricking clue haha.
stupid fricking pig, oink for me you stinky b***h
>it IS always online
>removed direct IP connect
>no LAN
Nah.
>it IS always online
No it isn't.
>harem coomers finally silenced
And there are still dead harem girls in the harem. Also, the 3D model changes are barely noticeable in-game. My paladin in-game looks exactly like how I'd expect a remastered D2 paladin to look.
Also, with max sharpness, the game looks even closer to the original.
Is there a slider for sharpness, or is that an option from your graphics card/driver? Looks quite comfy and what you'd expect how the game would look modernised.
oh god my eyes
if you are required to have an internet connection to play the game then it's 'forced online'. end of discussion
What you are trying to achieve by posting outright lies?
Desperate shill campaign to push more purchases before everyone finds out about another reforged?
Man, Ivan Ooze has really seen better days
Did anyone pirate this game? Does it work?
I've never played Diablo but my brother is a huge cheater who used bots to farm items and sell them for real money??? in D2. I'm not sure exactly what he did but he got banned multiple times. The funny part is he's convinced he'll still be able to do it in D2R because he's still in 2001 gaming mindset where you could just get a new key for dirt cheap. He's buying a new computer and everything for it.
It wouldn't shock me if he could get away with it. Blizzard want to make money from the game, not lose money by trying to keep it free from cheaters and botters.
>selling D2 items
sounds actually worthless, unless he scams morons on d2jsp, most hr d2 items sold for like 50 cents
Well blizzard has fires absolutely all their support staff, and WoW Classic was an absolute mess of botters, so I don't doubt he'll be fine.
are there still boobies?
>Log out yesterday at act 2 after killing radament
>play a bit before wagecucking this morning
>char is back act 1 at outer cloister
Thanks
just imagine being so poor you can't afford to spend 40 dollars on a game you want to play, and don't even try to deny it because if you didn't want to play it you wouldn't be seething and shitting your pants over no poorgay pirate direct IP multiplayer
the irony is the reason they didn't add open bnet is because of piracy so you have only yourself to blame
>you can't afford to spend 40 dollars on a game you want to play
If I want to play it I can launch it from my desktop because I bought it 2 decades ago for less than they're charging now.
It's homosexuals who are venting their teenage rage on this site. They don't buy video games and have no interest in them, let alone play any games. They are solely here to vent and get attention. These freaks have nothing left in life than posting here in threads of games they have no interest in, and can only get attention through negativity. 4cuck is filled to the brim with these homosexual from other social media sites.
Call them out, laugh at them, and don't waste a second thought on them.
so is this piratable or is it locked down? dont wanna spend money
You can play the singelplayer content. The ladder specific content isn't locked to ladder anymore so it's all there in singleplayer.
I can't use my old keys anymore and I'm not giving blizzard money so I'm just playing this instead 🙂
Not getting W10, so I'm plodding along, playing LoD SP hardcore.
Does it have couch co op?
Still not giving Acti-Blizzard 40€ for a 20-year old game with a touch of paint.
