Game is 100% dead when season 1 launches. I didn't think you could make something worse than the PoE campaign but pop the Champaign they fricking did it.

The story is too tedious, having like 4-5 steps in listening to npcs and watching their animations before they give you a quest, dungeons are too tedious needing to run there and back and there and back down empty hallways to get key items then bring them back to doors, selling stuff is too tedious.
In diablo 2 you only ever wanted to pick up caster weapons and magic chest armor pieces to sell to vendors, in d4 you want all magic shit to break down to crafting mats. its way worse than the D2 memes about d2s item collection were.
frick i even made an image on MS paint showing how a dungeon should be designed but someone got all buttmad over it, probably a blizzard dev. and here they are having people say the dungeons are too tedius and looking to hire dungeon designers. >what went wrong

The fact that it's selling as well as I've heard is proof enough that they're getting the money elsewhere and are waiting for the more hardcore crowd to break and fall in as QoL and feature updates reel them in. If they really care at all.
I fully expect a rug pull on the cash shop to make power purchaseable in a month or two if the latter isn't the case.
