That's simple. The target audience for cosmetics in a game like this is 14-16 year old kids and Chinease people. "Bigger and flashier than everyone else has" is the only criteria for making something that will sell to those demos.
not him but I assume it's like diablo 3 where it's "forced online" but you're playing by yourself. At least I hope. Last thing I want is to see stupid buttholes with their moronic cosmetics wandering around my desolate hub area to ruin my immersion
>Last thing I want is to see stupid buttholes with their moronic cosmetics wandering around my desolate hub area to ruin my immersion
well then prepare for disappointment because that is exactly what you'll be seeing
Not only you'll get gays running around like walking christmas trees in your hub, you'll also wander into PvP areas where they'll gank you and be forced into raid boss areas where you'll have to fight alongside them
You start from Lvl 1 and build your character from there. Without any sort of MQ to follow or anything you just kind of wander around aimlessly doing side quests and world events.
Itemization feels pretty simplistic, but that's just on blues/yellows. Haven't found any legendaries or uniques yet.
I'm playing Sorc. Early levels are pretty much just spam generator and empty your entire Mana pool with 2 clicks of your spender; which feels bad against anything that isn't a decent sized pack of enemies.
Graphically, it's decent and the art direction it more of a return to form. That's nice.
I'm only lvl 18 or so, so other may have more insight
everyone has a free "season pass" that has an EXP boost tied to it.
players can buy a premium season pass that unlocks more rewards but doesn't offer advantages like additional exp boosts, gear, etc (so far)
What is currently available in cash shop is just cosmetics. I'd say it doesn't "ruin gameplay" any more than transmogs in Grim Dawn, D3 etc did.
>forced multiplayer
surely not
is this true?

It's both always online (at the moment, anyway) as well as mmo-lite. You'll occasionally see another player out in the world, and more commonly in towns. Dungeons seem to be instanced to the player and (I assume) party.
Still low level so ymmv, but I went Ice first and it felt terrible. Fire also felt like shit so I've gone lightning until I have enough points to respec into something I'd prefer.
Respec just costs gold atm so it's easy to try different builds out without screwing yourself.
Do your melee weapons actually contact the enemies? Is it like 3 where it didn't matter if you had an axe or sword since the basic attack was an energy attack anyways.
Haven't tried Melee out beyond the first 30 seconds or so it took to level up and unlock a ranges skill. Sorry
Movement, controls, and animations feel good?
Everything feels pretty fluid/smooth. Key bindings are all as expected. I occasionally get hung up on map geometry or throw spells into a wall instead of at enemies-- but that's probably more my fault than the game's.
I've mostly been playing necro but i tried druid out a little until like 10 or so. Melee feels pretty good animation and sound wise but holy frick is it so much weaker than using spells
It feels weird because it's a sort of open persistent world kind of like an MMO and you have events on a timer like those public quests in Warhammer. It's not bad but it's not great either. It looks a lot more like D2 than D3 did which is good I guess. I have a sound bug which lowers my volume 90% so I can't hear the music but I have a feeling it can't stand up to D2's music. Nothing seems to come close.
I will say that my multiplayer experience in PoE was trading and sharing master dailies and that was basically it. Everything else was single player, for better or for worse. This open world map could be cringe but also interesting for getting some spontaneous co-op shit going on, if they implement it well.
Just doesn't have the staying power of Immortal
Didn't play it but i just know that blizzard has a fun game that will get locked behind shitty monetization and moronic decisions
>forced online
>forced multiplayer
>have to watch all the gays with their rainbow dragon dildo cosmetics run around
>literally no way to turn them off
why devs dont just make normal looking cosmetics that fit in line with the aesthetic of the game their in, I'll never understand

You can’t sell a pink dildo helmet to a zoomer for 20 irl dollars unless you put it in your game.
they exclusively hire trannies now
So far the cosmetics that are in are fairly grounded but who knows where they'll go
>forced multiplayer
surely not

the gimmick is that it's an MMO, people slip in and out of your worldspace
>tfw no blizzbros on Ganker
oof

Any hints of shitty monetization? More specifically does it frick up the gameplay

How is the Sorc skill tree? Can I go pure ice or do I have to waste points on lightning and fire?

Any of the fights challenging so far? I hate mindless skill spam combat.
i've heard this shit is close to 80 gigs
75 or something yeah but that's modern gaming
cod warzone is like 200
But PoE has all those flaming homosexuals and the always online part and I don't hear any crying
Unbelievably bad. Feels like Immortal with better graphics.
>Feels like Immortal
You didn't play D4 or Immortal if you believe that.
enjoying my attack/defense build
>he doesn't know what atk/def represent
uh oh....
I didn't get in... I never poopsocked rifts or D2R endgame.
Goddamn blizzBlack folk where's my invite?
wait its out?
So just play immortal?
I hope this is still really early because so far it feels like doing world quests in wow.
Beta = practically finished
Where are the screenshots and gameplay videos?
>playing ranged vs playing melee
>End game beta
>You start at level 1
What did they mean by this?
I'M NOT GONNA TO PLAY IT
NO! I'M NOT GONNA PLAY IT
JUST NOT GOING TO PLAY IT
israelite SHILL prostitute

PoE is finished.
it does seem like PoE2 is vaporware.
