This could have been a third person ARPG/soulslike if they didn't have to appeal to nostalgiagays that need their archaic "isometric" view. Shame Blizzard pussied out on doing something fun with the Diablo IP.

They literally said "You will not be able to buy gear" when people expressed concerns over D4 becoming p2w garbage due to the way diablo immortal was handled, which also came wiht a statement that "You will not be able to buy gear". Blizzard is dead, most people accepted it.
Yeah, they said the same about DIablo Immortal. Then you could buy gems to socket into your items and Blizzard dev went "Thats not gear!"
To be fair, they said "you won't be able to pay for power" on multiple occasions while the DI statement was one reddit post slip-up by that moronic "don't you have phones" chink.
I don't think they'll add any p2w shit, at least not at first. Maybe they'll do it after everyone has bought the game so people will hate them even more.

That moronic chink was the head dev of Diablo:Immortal. And he tried to sell the "gems are not gear"-shit to an autistic Hardcore Path of Exile streamer like as if he would be completely fooled.
I think they're gambling right now, they'll play it as straight at fist but if D4 doesn't do well on sales they'll probably turn it into a p2w MTX hell to cut their losses.

Starcraft 2. Just the announcement of it. It all went downhill after the first footage and people found out it was broken up into 3 parts. Then Diablo 3 was shown and everyone knew the company was dead. Though smart people knew before Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 were even shown, since smart people follow the developers. Not the IP name.
