The answer to everything Blizzard does is money. There are groups of dedicated psychologists for companies whose job it is to figure out how to manipulate their userbase into spending more money or time in their games and stores. It can be as little as catchy sound effects like a casino machine or putting a button in an otherwise inconvenient spot.
Remember Battle For Azeroth? If you played Horde you're well aware of the horrible Flight Path in that expansion's capital city. It was unnecessarily long to drive up playtime as well as expensive to drain the playerbase's gold reserves, and it was located in a spot where a majority of players would have to use it.
It is a hybrid of psychology and actuarial work. They need to make the play experience annoying enough to gaud people into fast tracking the battlepass for ash without making them think it is intentional.
>If you played Horde you're well aware of the horrible Flight Path in that expansion's capital city. It was unnecessarily long to drive up playtime
Once you caught on to Blizzards "Time Played"? metric for investor reports and started to think about it, a lot of WoWs design stood out, like you peered behind the curtain and saw the machinery for what it was.
Shadowlands requiring you to go back to your covenant to deposit anima for example. That was anywhere between 10 seconds to 1 minute (depending on your hearth bind) and if you did it every single day, you'd add up to between 2 and 12 hours over the course of the 2 year expansion just heading to deposit anima for no reason when it could ahve just been a right clickable item for instant use. Do that over 1,000,000 players and they managed to add 2-12 MILLION hours of "Time Played" metric to their investor report for that expansion for absolutely free, 0 content creation needed.
Now do that for every single little odd niggle with WoWs design and you see right through it all
Yup. Seeing that shit is what made me quit the maze for good. I couldn't enjoy shit because all I could see were layers upon layers of systems. It didn't even feel like a game at that point to me. Now DF is the first ever expansion I've never played and I don't plan on it ever.
Nerf every spec -> Slower gameplay -> Longer to reach goals -> Potentially stick around for longer -> Longer play time = more seasons -> More battle pass sales
All design decisions can always be boiled down back to mtx incentive.
If a game is too fun, you are less likely to spend money to speed up progression. Think about that for a second: games are now intentionally being designed to be mediocre. It's not even a matter of not having enough budget; developers are purposely going out of their way to remove already-created elements that are too fun.
>Hey, our game is in the news because its content shallow and players are crushing it in a matter of days, what do we do? >I don't know, DLC isn't due for another year. Just turn up the difficulty I guess? What's the fastest way to do that in an RPG?
That's literally it.
fun is not allowed in modern vidya
only slow, boring, monotonous, and unfun grind is allowed so they can sell you more skins or whatever the frick they sell anymore in modern releases

Firstly, where am I moving any goalposts? The original post that this stems from said that they were trying to trick people into buying the battle pass.

Blizzard is notorious at developing their game based on internal metrics they gather. They don't develop based on fun or even personal desires - it's literally only based on a fricking excel sheet.
D4 is a live service vehicle for microtransactions. Anything good needs to be stomped down so people buy battlepasses and to make unlocking anything take as long as mathematically possible while keeping player retention. I sure love modern game design
most people, when they play a game, go for the most optimal build. if that optimal build is too good and can handle the entire game, the game becomes repetitive and boring OR the player neglects alternative, possibly funner, builds. so things get nerfed to encourage further exploration of the game's systems outside "the best".
diablo 4 however is just the developers trying to force people to pay money to progress faster.
The funniest thing about the 1.1 patch is that they nerfed the weaker shit harder than the meta shit. The meta sorcerer skills are nerfed, but everything else also got nerfed so the meta is still the best, just weaker.
After the nerfs, the former top tier builds now play like the former mid tier builds. Which means
>top is now mid >high is now low >mid is now barely playable shit >anything below mid is now completely unplayable >also special shout out to Barb and Sorc who essentially were removed from the game entirely in terms of viability, and to Twisting Blades Rogue's who suffered very little nerfing because most of their damage is poison, and DOT's didn't get touched
They absolutely DESTROYED any build that wasn't the top ones, because they performed some fricking universal broad nerfs nothing escaped it other than TB Rogue, and even that seems more like dev ineptitude than anything else.
Remember NGE for Star Wars Galaxies? It's basically that except for an ARPG. Their bean counters determined that players were progressing too fast and would finish their goals and get their fill of the game and quit before buying at least 2 battle passes. So they astronomically nerfed every single worthwhile spec in the game and buffed every enemy, essentially slowing the game down by like 80%
It's unreal how consistent blizzard is with just not getting it. They'd have a better track record if they always just did the opposite of what they originally plan to do.
>It's unreal how consistent blizzard is with just not getting it.
No, Blizzard is 100% consistent and has been for a long time. They dream up a vision of how players will play the game and if you ever deviate from that or find your own way, they will nerf it until you're playing how they conceived it. They design all their games this way, the first 2 patches of Dragonflight were dedicated to killing every off-meta spec people were discovering with the new talent system, ensuring the one meta spec they designed the game around was the only one you could choose
This is also the reason why OW2 does not have dedicated servers or custom maps. Farming data on how their players play their game is more valuable than making a good game.
they don't care about player fun. Diablo IV is a product. all Blizzard cares about is $$$ and player retention metrics. the reason they nerfed everything and buffed all the enemies is because they don't think people are spending enough time playing the game or going through the 1-100 experience. ActiBlizz corporate forces all their dev teams to chase player metrics and so all their games have tons of moronic tedious bullshit that only exists to pad this metric out. it's why Diablo IV is a giant open world with shitty slow mounts.
Nowhere in the stream did they ever mention reverting anything. In fact, they implied the exact opposite. They basically said "Oh well, get over it. But we promise we won't do massive nerfs again" (they will)
That's Blizzards bread and butter these days. >Determine something needs a 70% nerf and players are going to be enraged about it >Nerf it by 120% >Uproar >"We listened, we're sorry and we love the players" >Revert some of the nerf, landing at your intended 70% >End up with your intended nerf, except now you're praised for it because you're the good dev who listens to the players
Absolutely insidious
>make bad change >X number of players leave, even more are encouraged to continue not playing >slightly revert >less than X number of players come back >people that are obsessed with Blizzard and will continue to play no matter what praise the decision
Yeah, great idea. I'm sure they will have as many players, let alone more, playing D4 since before the patch was released.
It's been a month, the initial sales wave is basically done. The whales who will be spending thousands on the cash shop won't leave over nerfs, so it's no loss for them to do this and slow down the game for the whales, anyone else who quits already gave all the money they were going to anyway
>leave
Fricking EL O EL
Anyone playing Blizzard shit in 2023 is physically incapable of not eating shit. They have no brain to process the idea of dropping the game.
The worst part is that it fricking works and their fanbase praises them for doing this shit
I hate this company and I hope Microsoft splits them up
Blizzard fans are fricking moronic. Blizzard itself is terrible at balance. Just look at wow's mythic raids. They get nerfed more and more each week after the first because Blizzard is shit at balance and blizzard fans are shit at video games.
Reminds me of their nerf to Enhancement Shaman tier set this patch. Made it so you had a proc chance that would make your next 2 Chain Lightnings 100% more damage
Blizzard determined that during this proc, players would even use Chain Lightning on single targets!!!!!!!! The horror, the humanity. Every player knew this was a nothingburger because it's already only a proc and has a per minute limit to how many times it could go off. You're sitll using Lightning Bolt 95% of the time on single target.
But nope, this was unacceptable and Blizzard nerfed the bonus damage to 20%, making the set bonus extremely lackluster and overnerfing Enhancements cleave damage as a result
>Blizzard as a company has over 30 years of game experience and almost two decades of patching already released games >make sweeping nerfs to all characters and nearly all facets of the game a month after release >"we learned from this"
Frick off
pretty standard move in politics, business, etc. you want X so you ask for something outrageously above that and then offer what you really wanted as a negotiating point, you get what you wanted anyway but you appear moderate and willing to negotiate.
>they learned the breaking point for gamers >after almost twenty years of making patches >they just learned that now
Yeah Blizzard never shit the bed until now.
What did they do? Try and make the game present some sort of challenge and all the casual shitters (most players) cried like fricking babies? It's the only conclusion I can come to because you only hear people crying enough masses about a game being difficult, and never too easy. This has happened multiple times in the past too with them having to nerf content across the board because it was originally made too difficult for people.
>make game progression entirely based around volume play >make everything require longer to complete, don’t adjust any economies >game was borderline too tedious and boring to play beforehand, now any enjoyment is gone
fricking casual shitters
>Try and make the game present some sort of challenge and all the casual shitters (most players) cried like fricking babies? It's the only conclusion I can come to because you only hear people crying enough masses about a game being difficult
Why do people that have no idea what's going on pretend to have an idea what's going on, but said idea is always PLAYERS BAD BLIZZARD GOOD?
It took me a handful of hours playing the beta to figure out that they clearly had no idea what they were doing. It's amazing to me that people still spent 80$ to buy that shit
>It took me a handful of hours playing the beta to figure out that they clearly had no idea what they were doing.
D4 beta was the first time a beta of a game caused me to cancel my pre-order.
After 3 hours of playing I kept getting flashbacks of how awful and boring d3 was at launch as well and how it took them almost a decade to fix it.
Something similar will probably happen here.
This is a case of people being afraid of change and just hating it because it's different from how it was before. Blizzard bending over backwards for it's casual fan base has what's ruined so many of its games more than anything. They literally don't know what's good for them. They either play a game and get frustrated because it's difficult and they don't have the patience or ability to put in the minimum of effort to learn, or they quit playing the game anyways because it's fricking boring after blizzard has made it easy as shit for them.
>make game worse to play >FIX THIS SHIT BLIZZARD WHY DID YOU DO THIS >we're listening, we fixed it >SEE HATERS YOU ARE moronS, BLIZZARD LISTENS, THEY ARE THE BEST DEVS, THE GAME IS GOOD BECAUSE I ENJOYING IT, PRAISE KOTICK
Funny thing is blizzard is constantly doing nerfs in wow that are not related to anything competitive.
They disable legacy stuff like old tier sets that no matter how absurd overpowered they were would never be worth using over just a massive stat upgrade of new tier sets.
"Fun detected" it's a well know joke about this in wow fan sites like wowhead
They also hate certain classes/specs with a passion. >be ret >shit for well over a decade >have to wait untill almost 2nd season of DF to get rework it should of had in beta >turns out really good. Near top of charts >immediately get nerfed evey week >currently near the bottom cause reasons
Any spec below the mid point is like thid. Its so obvious how much the hate like half the classes in the game.
Sorc is the whipping boy in D4 currently.
Just like when they nerfed the Legion legendary that made transmog runs quicker. Colossal fricking homosexuals. and Blizzdrones wonder why they're so universally reviled on here.
>Just like when they nerfed the Legion legendary that made transmog runs quicker
Sephuz's Secret. They also nerfed Bear Tartare at the same time as well, basically an infinite sprint if you kept killing mobs along the way, they made it require kill on a mob that would yield exp.
They had a hard on for making transmog runs slow, and of course the next expansion they started considering transmog collection as a form of content and since then have done everything they possibly can to slow it down.
>overhaul low level itemization >everything scales up now >suddenly fun to build an alt with a vast selection of items >59 twinking takes off >fun as frick with months with all the different classes and builds >streamer gets wind of it >nerfed, gutted, and shut down in weeks
If these statements from blizzard weren't entirely disingenuous and excuses for things they did deliberately knowing it would be terribly received they should do a Constaza and always do the opposite of their instinct is. They would overnight become the best gaming company in the industry
>announces
In other words it's still fricked and the patch hasn't been superceded yet. It's gonna be like Overwatch 2's mid season 5 patch from not long ago, it's cool that Cassidy has Tracer's ult as a normal ability but that is really not good for the game's balance.
not sure why people are complaining. the game was way too fast and felt a lot better when the monsters and dungeons actually were weighted rather than the flying one shot buggy cookiecutter builds during preseason. beta strongholds are what i consider peak diablo 4. all that said i would prefer they nerf the shit out of rogue druid and necro, rather than buff the other 2 classes.
>enjoyed the beta moderately >internet becomes shit and ruins my whole experience during release >no will to play the story passed act 2
I'm actually okay that this happened
They're not undoing it and still aren't working on actual changes that would improve the gameplay experience.
I imagine they'll have something big planned before Christmas and the holiday season, but whether that's just a new season mechanic or whatever garbage while keeping the same underlying problems, I'm doubtful.
>giant patch to change game balance >vulnerable and crit still king by a lot >sorcerer can only apply vuln by teleporting into packs removing their escape
What a piece of shit class. At least necro is fun
Is this peoples first Blizzard game or something? Their way of balancing has always been nerfing the fun out of the game until it's completely sterilized.
>Imagine getting cucked by your own fanbase.
Imagine thinking this is what happened. You are like a smug cuck smiling in the corner as someone else fricks your wife.
blizzcucks never learn, they're just going to do something even more annoying later and never apologize then call you """toxic""" for complaining,
and because they're all fricking idiots they'll keep buying their shit like good little paypiggies
>we don't plan on doing a patch like this ever again
Didn't they do this shit all the time in WoW too? They'll never stop. Blizzard don't understand design, fun, or balance. In fact by now they probably think understanding these things is bigoted or fascist.
They are simply incapable of creating and maintaining a good product.
>Can you morons stop blindly giving Blizzard money so they have an incentive to do better?
Impossible. Consoomers will ruin video games for as long as they exist, and certainly for as long as they're mainstream.
This sounds like a struggle session, like they're apologizing for being cancelled or something
and completely denouncing their patch makes it sound like they don't have a fricking clue what they're doing
Look at these venemous snakes. These fricking wiener suckers. These lying bastards. Faithless spawn of prostitutes. Look at them fricking lie right on camera. Look at them admit they KNOW it's not fricking fun, it's fricking shit, and then they won't roll back fricking any of it.
Useless c**ts. I hope the game burns and they're forced to roll it all back. And then I hope they get fired.
Actually fricking surpised, I was expecting "4the players", "sense of pride and accomplishment", and "important for the longevity and long-term health of the game".
Dev's flat out said they didn't regret the patch, they're a bunch of fricking c**ts. Nothing about the patch is being rolled back, which is the bigger deal.
The whole fricking thing was a goddamn disaster, and nothing is being changed. Just let the player base fall off, then the stupid fricks will be forced to address it.
Wow Blizzard doing something shitty in an attempt to push battle passes and other GAAS bullshit? Color me fricking shocked.
It's almost as if nobody learned anything from the last five years of Blizzard frick-ups and continue to eat their shit regardless.
I mean they've always been fairly shitty but it didn't really become egregious until after the dumpster fire that is Battle for Azeroth came out.
You could make an argument that sometime during Overwatch 1's lifespan is when that tipping point was but it's still the same general time window
Whilst they fricked up plenty of times before that, they usually recovered to put out something decent. People loved Legion and the original Overwatch. Whereas literally everything they've put out since 2018 has been dog shit. Even the old games, which they've retroactively ruined.
hallelujah d4 is saved! if any of you really think this is going to turn out well before mid-2024 in the earliest youre out of your mind, this team is picking up the pieces after the game was rebooted 4 times using tools made by people fired long ago
>we nerfed mob density, loot drop rate and exp so we could buff mob density, loot drop rate and exp in a future patch >small indie company making our first arpg, please understand
This feels like Pokemon Sword and Shield all over again where people started saying bad=good and SnS is the best Pokemon game in the franchise BECAUSE IT HAS THE WORST CONTENT AND GAMEPLAY AND "MAKES ICKY TOXIC INCELS" MAD
d4 had probably good sales numbers but the game is an utter failure just like d3
everything that predicted turned out to be true. >it's much like d3 >level scaling in hack n slash virtually destroys thegame
-itemization in horrible, they should have just copied d2 itemization
end of diablo franchise for blizz. only way to ever review the franch is hire all the old blizzard north creators back who actually have creative abilities
I'm tired of making new characters to find a class that isn't ass. I have a 50 sorc (sucks), rogue (good but I don't like the play style), necro (meh to play).
I picked druid for the season even though the model is the ugliest fricking thing I've ever seen in an arpg and even though it's the most powerful class I've played so far I'd rather do something else just because it's ugly. If they finally buff frozen orb sorc, which is what I bought this game to play in the first place, I'm going to be annoyed having to level ANOTHER FRICKING CHARACTER.
Which Rogue have you played? Twisting Blade? Penetrating Shot? The off-meta Rogue stuff is fun too, like Barrage and Flurry, but you have to work harder. Shadow/Poison Imbued Barrage is pretty fun.
>Deliberately released a shit patch and got shat on by their own community >Pretend they realized their mistakes, promise to not frick up again and is working on a fix
Definitely not on purpose
why do devs nerf stuff in non competitive games
By forcing players to spend more time in the game devs thinks they can trick morons into buying more mtx
Pretty sure that’s just how blizzard devs do it take 5 steps back and one step forward and acting like they did something amazing

they nerfed EVERY build and fricked exp gain, while buffing skills no one will ever use
its like the devs don't play their own game lol
they're taking notes from ggg lmao, next patch will be more nerfs guaranteed
Anyone that buys a Bliz game deserves every bit of pain that gets inflicted on them.
How can anyone lack such basic pattern recognition.

it's about milking the players that won't leave and getting more money from them by building up "good will".
>leave
Fricking EL O EL
Anyone playing Blizzard shit in 2023 is physically incapable of not eating shit. They have no brain to process the idea of dropping the game.
This shit only works on morons ie the people brain-broken enough to still play Blizzslop
The worst part is that it fricking works and their fanbase praises them for doing this shit
I hate this company and I hope Microsoft splits them up
people need to talk about anchoring/anchor pricing more. a lot of GaaS games use it to get players to accept some really shitty situations
It's literally illegal in civilized countries
Blizzard fans are fricking moronic. Blizzard itself is terrible at balance. Just look at wow's mythic raids. They get nerfed more and more each week after the first because Blizzard is shit at balance and blizzard fans are shit at video games.
The season junk makes everyone stupid OP again anyway. :/
But they're not unnerfing fricking anything, you moron. They're not changing a single percent.
but the voice in my head said blizzard is based and d4 is bussin
just a fricking shitty mmo.
Offline mode or frick off.
>vulnerable only does 20% more damage now
Reminds me of their nerf to Enhancement Shaman tier set this patch.
THAT'S IT
GAMING IS FINISHED
They won't roll it all back, they will change a few things and people will call it a victory.
>we know this was wrong
…Then why did they do it?
>Blizzard as a company has over 30 years of game experience and almost two decades of patching already released games
>make sweeping nerfs to all characters and nearly all facets of the game a month after release
>"we learned from this"
Frick off
They learned the breaking point for gamers. Now they’ll only nerf stuff by 50% instead of 100%
pretty standard move in politics, business, etc. you want X so you ask for something outrageously above that and then offer what you really wanted as a negotiating point, you get what you wanted anyway but you appear moderate and willing to negotiate.
>they learned the breaking point for gamers
>after almost twenty years of making patches
>they just learned that now
Yeah Blizzard never shit the bed until now.
DM Diablo will release a "Its fixed" video and all will be forgotten
What did they do? Try and make the game present some sort of challenge and all the casual shitters (most players) cried like fricking babies? It's the only conclusion I can come to because you only hear people crying enough masses about a game being difficult, and never too easy. This has happened multiple times in the past too with them having to nerf content across the board because it was originally made too difficult for people.
>make game progression entirely based around volume play
>make everything require longer to complete, don’t adjust any economies
>game was borderline too tedious and boring to play beforehand, now any enjoyment is gone
fricking casual shitters
They will keep trying until there is little to no backlash. Do not trust Blizzard. They always do this shit and people still buy it.
Not a single change made the game harder only MUCH slower.
And D4 is already a very slow game to begin with.
>make game worse to play
>FIX THIS SHIT BLIZZARD WHY DID YOU DO THIS
>we're listening, we fixed it
>SEE HATERS YOU ARE moronS, BLIZZARD LISTENS, THEY ARE THE BEST DEVS, THE GAME IS GOOD BECAUSE I ENJOYING IT, PRAISE KOTICK
>Blizzard gets absorbed into Microsoft
>massive frick up dont take eons to fix.
Woah its almost like it was a good thing for blizzard to get bought out.
yeah, they will just become like 343 and frick off from the beginning.
Balancing a primarily PvE game is fricking stupid.
Just let people be fricking broken, there's no goddamn point in ever nerfing people in a game where 99% of your time is fighting NPCs
They also hate certain classes/specs with a passion.
>be ret
>shit for well over a decade
>have to wait untill almost 2nd season of DF to get rework it should of had in beta
>turns out really good. Near top of charts
>immediately get nerfed evey week
>currently near the bottom cause reasons
They had a hard on for making transmog runs slow, and of course the next expansion they started considering transmog collection as a form of content and since then have done everything they possibly can to slow it down.
>overhaul low level itemization
>everything scales up now
>suddenly fun to build an alt with a vast selection of items
>59 twinking takes off
>fun as frick with months with all the different classes and builds
>streamer gets wind of it
>nerfed, gutted, and shut down in weeks
>Sometimes we just don't get it quite right.
Like sure but over the past few years I hear that almost constantly from these shitshow companies.
>adjusting enemy health and player damage in the same patch
lol……..
It's gonna be like Overwatch 2's mid season 5 patch from not long ago, it's cool that Cassidy has Tracer's ult as a normal ability but that is really not good for the game's balance.
hate live service games so much it's unreal.
Does buying the Battle Pass actually get you EXP boosts faster or not?
20%
Thank you for the straightforward answer anon. Does D4 have player trading or no?
Haven't played a Diablo game since the RMAH in D3
Yes but can’t trade legendaries so it’s worthless
people who buy blizzard games should be lined up and shot
not sure why people are complaining. the game was way too fast and felt a lot better when the monsters and dungeons actually were weighted rather than the flying one shot buggy cookiecutter builds during preseason. beta strongholds are what i consider peak diablo 4. all that said i would prefer they nerf the shit out of rogue druid and necro, rather than buff the other 2 classes.
Til they make it playable offline I'm not interested. If I wanted to do things involving other people I wouldn't have started playing video games.
>enjoyed the beta moderately
>internet becomes shit and ruins my whole experience during release
>no will to play the story passed act 2
I'm actually okay that this happened
They're not undoing it and still aren't working on actual changes that would improve the gameplay experience.
I imagine they'll have something big planned before Christmas and the holiday season, but whether that's just a new season mechanic or whatever garbage while keeping the same underlying problems, I'm doubtful.
>giant patch to change game balance
>vulnerable and crit still king by a lot
>sorcerer can only apply vuln by teleporting into packs removing their escape
What a piece of shit class. At least necro is fun
Is there a vidya company that hates their customers as much as blizzard?
Is this peoples first Blizzard game or something? Their way of balancing has always been nerfing the fun out of the game until it's completely sterilized.
I'm a big secondary but isn't Tal'rasha Wizard in D3 like the very top of the tier list for years now?
How do I get my lilith statues to carry over to my season 1 character?
I just made a new char and my map was empty.
Log into your non-seasonal character once and then it should carry over.
I tried that twice and nothing happened. If I have to do that shit again I'm gonna go insane.
too bad pig, you fricked up now you are gonna do it again 🙂
reminder that blizzard can do anything and never lose. capitalism is no longer about value, but psychological manipulation
Imagine getting cucked by your own fanbase. Blizzard is so pathetic.
>Imagine getting cucked by your own fanbase.
Imagine thinking this is what happened. You are like a smug cuck smiling in the corner as someone else fricks your wife.
ANYONE who still buys blizzard games is just a certified clinical moron, there is just no excuse
blizzcucks never learn, they're just going to do something even more annoying later and never apologize then call you """toxic""" for complaining,
and because they're all fricking idiots they'll keep buying their shit like good little paypiggies
>we don't plan on doing a patch like this ever again
Didn't they do this shit all the time in WoW too? They'll never stop. Blizzard don't understand design, fun, or balance. In fact by now they probably think understanding these things is bigoted or fascist.
They are simply incapable of creating and maintaining a good product.
>we don't plan on doing a patch like this ever again
literal abusive husband talk. fricking lmao
Can you morons stop blindly giving Blizzard money so they have an incentive to do better?
>Can you morons stop blindly giving Blizzard money so they have an incentive to do better?
Impossible. Consoomers will ruin video games for as long as they exist, and certainly for as long as they're mainstream.
>nu blizz ever doing better
that company is a revolving door, blizzard is nothing more than a hollow name brand at this point
Breaking news: Blizzard no longer knows how to make a game but people keep giving them money
Breaking news: Diablo 4 is still better than your mom.
Better than his mom at what
Sex, at the very least.
At least she doesn't go down for maintenance when you're about to cum
I defended them for this patch and they spit in my face.
I actually liked the patch, they just needed like 10 more of them, now the game is dead for sure.
2 minute summary https://youtu.be/E3hqbG5VRJg
This sounds like a struggle session, like they're apologizing for being cancelled or something
and completely denouncing their patch makes it sound like they don't have a fricking clue what they're doing
it was a rough watch
>makes it sound like they don't have a fricking clue what they're doing
>sound like
Look at these venemous snakes.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS XBOX XISTERS
Once again based Phil is already reaping benefits for gamers
It's almost as if nobody learned anything from the last five years of Blizzard frick-ups and continue to eat their shit regardless.
>last 5 years
lol....
It's impressive after 2 good Diablos, a horrendous 3rd, they still fricked up the 4th.
hallelujah d4 is saved! if any of you really think this is going to turn out well before mid-2024 in the earliest youre out of your mind, this team is picking up the pieces after the game was rebooted 4 times using tools made by people fired long ago
>we nerfed mob density, loot drop rate and exp so we could buff mob density, loot drop rate and exp in a future patch
>small indie company making our first arpg, please understand
https://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/155mbql/i_had_a_great_time_playing_last_night/
I had a great time playing last night. We had a blast, full family couch coop! You're missing out guys. Stop criticizing the game.
Stop criticizing it chud. That makes you a nazi incel. It's giving me and my family a "blast" of a time!
d4 had probably good sales numbers but the game is an utter failure just like d3
everything that predicted turned out to be true. >it's much like d3
>level scaling in hack n slash virtually destroys thegame
-itemization in horrible, they should have just copied d2 itemization
end of diablo franchise for blizz. only way to ever review the franch is hire all the old blizzard north creators back who actually have creative abilities
has there ever existed a more cucked gamer base than D4?
"People" who spend hundreds or thousands in gachas only to see said gachas dying
It's time we admit Immortal is the better game
At least it's 'free'
It might be shit but it's not $70 shit
>Deliberately released a shit patch and got shat on by their own community
>Pretend they realized their mistakes, promise to not frick up again and is working on a fix
Definitely not on purpose
Will Skullgirls return it original status next?
