HotS lost me when they started pushing out reworks that completely streamlined many of the more unconventional heroes.
Nu-Tassadar is fun as hell so I don't even care. The really unique ones like Abathur and Probius still are.
Nu tassadar was great until they just flat out removed the permanent shield effect from his globe quest, making him only at his best in a damage dealer build and a worse support than pre-rework.

I couldn't find a "normal" screenshot because everything on Google is cherrypicked to look good. But if you watch a stream or gameplay it looks incredibly boring.
As a Diablo fan, I really want to like the game but so far I haven't been able to convince myself to buy it. I've tried to watch some gameplay like 10 times and I always turn it off after a while because it just looks so dull.

I love dark aesthetic, but compared to Diablo 2 (Ressurected) for example, I don't see it a dark in a cool Satanic edgy way, just dark in a "tired grey rainy day in an unlit closet with some dusty brooms" way

There's snowstorms and shit (one of the strongholds is in a blizzard until you claim it), particle effects from braziers, and other neat things that you have to see in realtime. It looks good on an OLED monitor on ultra settings with HDR turned on. I turned off HDR and it makes a big difference, it looks flat and grey. I can see why someone might not like it on an average setup.
