Now it just means launching the game "as is" and patching shit later. Conveniently stops them from spending the next 8 months bugtesting if for example, the playerbase will pay to do it for you and huff copium while being subject to microtransactions and battlepasses.
Or more likely save 8 months of development money if the game is dead in 5 weeks because the competition is outright fierce since Blizzard inspired enough people with D2 that now those people have made their own Diablo with blackjack and hookers.
