The worst this would do is make some areas unpopulated which doesn't matter since any/all content besides world boss is soloable. This isnt WoW where sub-cap levels require a population to do content. I'm not saying they aren't israeli either, they might sell it someday, it just won't ruin the game

honestly 90% of the reason i'm not still just playing FFXI.
i even played on a 5x exp rate private server and that filled time for 2 years until i did literally everything there is possible to do in the game and maxxed out all my gear.
i play Eve Online now because you can get away with only playing for an hour a week if you want, and you can just quit for 2 years and come back like nothing's happened and you dont get punished for it like in other MMOs
that's one thing they're not selling, yet. you can skip the story once you've done it with one character. Don't know if it will take you all the way to max level though. probably not, it is blizzard.
