It's fine. I doubt there's going to be substantial story every 3 months, probably just some season mechanic lore like PoE does with most of their league mechanics.
Does PoE sell their seasons for money like Diablo is planning to do? These aren't free story releases according to dev interviews. They're calling them "paid expansions."
