Great arpg. Once you get the feel for it do yourself a favor a play on hardcore ladder online. Really small community and it’s treated more like a rouglike like than anything. If you die, 9 of 10 times you made a bad decision or you let yourself get PK’d. I also believe the loot drops are better I’m hardcore so it’s not just some mindless grind but it’s more rewarding and higher stakes.

D2R looks really good. The team did a great job on the visuals. The only problem I can find is that I can just get stuck on shit constantly. Rocks, jars, weird wall shit. It's not bad on controller though. Actually really fun to play a lot of classes with controller. Bow Amazon in particular is good. Kind of got an auto aim going on there.
what ever happened to lost epoch? i was tricked by my playgroup to get it only the find out it has no multiplayer and they were working on it, so we shelved the game till it was done. this was 3 years ago
D2R is the best in the genre, in terms of artstyle/setting/horror atmosphere, it's unparalleled and a must-play game in general. The gameplay is also fun and addictive until it isn't (a bit after finishing hell or starting hell depending on your build choice).
If you liked the gameplay you can move on to path of exile which is much more expansive, autistic and tries to keep you hooked forever, though it has become bloated as hell nowadays. So most likely just stick to d2r.
I'll say this anytime someone brings up Diablo 2 on Ganker, D2R is genuinely really good and makes shores up a lot of the absolutely dogshit builds to make them useable and have some runeword support.
Just play Path of Exile. Diablo 2 is great and all, but Resurrected still feels like a 2O year old game. PoE has better crafting, loot, build diversity and end game bosses. Diablo 2 just boils down to the same shit...teleporting as fast as you can to open super chests in lower Kurast for high runes, or farming Meph/Pindle/Diablo/Baal. Wew lad.
And yes, just pirate D2R if you're gonna play it. Don't give any money to those wienersucking gays at Blizzard. They haven't made a good game in 2O years and don't deserve your money. Order a pizza instead.
It's probably the best of modern Blizz to be fair. Not sure what you need friends for with this as it plays as well solo as any game in this genre. There are piracy options, I'd recommend that and wait for a sale.
