Diablo 3 RoS is great though. Blizzard let it die because they refused to hire more people. Nu-Blizzard's ego was bruised because people hated the story. The only reason they released an expansion was because that was legally the only way they could shut the RMAH down.

Diablo 4 was originally intended to be played "forever" but just like Diablo 3 it was scrapped and remade at one point. The new team has no ambition whatsoever and is full of garbage diversity hires. They essentially scraped together what the previous team was working on into a more finished looking package without actually adding anything.
The closed beta and open beta are basically unchanged in terms of gameplay, and they've already claimed the game is "finished" meaning if you played the closed beta you basically played the entire game already minus irrelevant story/campaign stuff which will no doubt be forced down your throat and taken precedence over gameplay.
The "end game" doesn't exist.
Class balance doesn't exist.
D4 is "finished" the same way an Earl Access game is "not a scam". The current team isn't capable of improving the foundation given to them by the previous team, so all they did was clean it up and push it out the door.
Diablo 4 will still be a better game than Path of Exile.

In this day and age it might not be a bad thing. Is it really necessary to get entrapped for thousands of hours in a game? We both know it would just end like in idle games or path of exile, where you grind for days, for miniscule upgrades. Or follow a gorillion randomised fetch quests like in other games. Think you are over rating Last Epoch for being newest. I got to end game and wondered where the ending was. The gimic of time travel is pointless since you just go in a straight path that happens to go through the past. The combat is the standard 'does no damage/instantly kills you'. The loot filter means you filter everything and barely see any. Held my interest for the least amount of time.
Put chad Titan Quest over Torchshit 1 and 2 and your list is basically perfect. Also throw Chronicon in there too.
Titan Quest is the slowest game of any of them. Not sure if it changed any with rerelease or whatever they did.

Basically I think the core audience of blizzards games grew up with the franchises and now with the way the market works I think Blizzard is really struggling to capture the younger generation.
You ask why WoW sucks for example and I think its trying to cater way too hard to a younger audience because blizzard is thinking long term, they dont care about the people who grew up with the games in the 90s/early00s because that generation is kinda like the last of a certain era where we didnt have smart phones back then.
You look at the modern generations and they are extremely atomized, not loyal to anything, and all the games have to be super fast ADHD clown fests with flashy graphics.
I look at modern blizzard and its design philsophy across mutliple different games and its very clear that the massive drive towards accessibility means that they dont want to take risks, they dont want to cater to niche groups, they want a mass appeal game that draws in younger gamers because they already know the older gamers are going to buy it sheerly based off brand recognition.
Blizzard's dream is to capture the minds of the 15-25 year olds now so that they can inform the decisions of the next generation in 10 years.
This is true in my case, I stopped playing and paying for WOW entirely when I saw Dragonflight, its not meant for me anymore. And that's fine, I'm sure Dragonflight has been a massive commercial success with their massive new audience.

The campaign itself is a snoozefest and I didn't care for the mega skilltree at all. I'd rather pay for a solid shorter offline singleplayer game instead.

Hell difficulty literally is endgame. Dark Tristram is post-endgame / bonus-game.
Nightmare is middle-game.
Normal is early-game.
PoE has many different endgame options other than maps. I get it though, I don't like it either, plus I hate Tencent and their devs keep lying in patch notes.
Current/Modern PoE absolutely doesn't have any different end-game options other than maps. You literally have to do maps now because its integrated into the character progression system, unlike how before character progression was soft-locked to pre-map difficulty (ie Master dailies, with bonus encounters having no meaningful impact in Tier 1 or Tier 16 maps because the biggest chunk of exp was locked behind the free daily unless you cheesed it with trade services). They killed all pre-map grinding strategies. There's no reason to spend any more time in campaign than necessary to reach maps. Campaign is just one long unavoidable tutorial.
It's still designed around trading. You CAN do it SSF but it's not particularly fun unless you're turbo hardcore and build variety is extremely limited.

You're not going to find one. You might as well just play an MMO or Souls/Elden Ring game for character builds. MOBA/ASShomosexuals have potentially interesting character build aspects but its wasted on worthless competitive/tourneygay nonsense--gone are the days of WC3 or SC2 map editor rogue/rpg maps.
Binding of Isaac. Granted Repetence kinda ruined the game balance, but thankfully you can cheese it by playing multiplayer for everything except the moronic daily challenge winstreak which you can just cheese by waiting for some attention prostitute to release a cheat sheet on the subreddit.
Terraria. Once you get bored with the main game, you can play addons. The only problem with addons right now is Tmodloader slow as frick to update to the current Terraria version so you lose out on all the QoL stuff that addons can't implement through Tmodloader. You can still use certain addons that require modified exe but they're a pain in the ass and the only good content mods rely on Tmodloader for clout. I advise not playing the game on Master Mode first because build diversity sucks, and any content creators still haven't properly balanced their mods around it.
Noita and Risk of Rain 2 are technically pseudo-ARPG but still worth a look also.

I just couldn't get into it at all, there was no real character progression or player freedom. You literally couldn't experiment with builds, because in the end you were forced down a predetermined playstyle, thanks to the shitty itemization. The mobile game was the final nail in the coffin. I simply don't believe Blizzard can make a good Diablo anymore, it's all just pigslop built around instant gratification for single digit iq tards. Not that ARPGs were ever a particularily high IQ genre, but at least respect a base level of the player's intelligence.
Some side quests felt like Diablo, like finding a husband who is cheating his wife just to turn out he was bewitched into brutal S&M, his skin is flayed and then you take out the knife from him and he is bleeding out infinitely. But yeah, most of the game was just walking.

They essentially scraped together what the previous team was working on into a more finished looking package without actually adding anything.
The closed beta and open beta are basically unchanged in terms of gameplay, and they've already claimed the game is "finished" meaning if you played the closed beta you basically played the entire game already minus irrelevant story/campaign stuff which will no doubt be forced down your throat and taken precedence over gameplay.
The "end game" doesn't exist.
Class balance doesn't exist.
D4 is "finished" the same way an Earl Access game is "not a scam". The current team isn't capable of improving the foundation given to them by the previous team, so all they did was clean it up and push it out the door.
Diablo 4 will still be a better game than Path of Exile.

The gimic of time travel is pointless since you just go in a straight path that happens to go through the past. The combat is the standard 'does no damage/instantly kills you'. The loot filter means you filter everything and barely see any. Held my interest for the least amount of time.
Titan Quest is the slowest game of any of them. Not sure if it changed any with rerelease or whatever they did.

Basically I think the core audience of blizzards games grew up with the franchises and now with the way the market works I think Blizzard is really struggling to capture the younger generation.
You ask why WoW sucks for example and I think its trying to cater way too hard to a younger audience because blizzard is thinking long term, they dont care about the people who grew up with the games in the 90s/early00s because that generation is kinda like the last of a certain era where we didnt have smart phones back then.

PoE has many different endgame options other than maps. I get it though, I don't like it either, plus I hate Tencent and their devs keep lying in patch notes.
Current/Modern PoE absolutely doesn't have any different end-game options other than maps. You literally have to do maps now because its integrated into the character progression system, unlike how before character progression was soft-locked to pre-map difficulty (ie Master dailies, with bonus encounters having no meaningful impact in Tier 1 or Tier 16 maps because the biggest chunk of exp was locked behind the free daily unless you cheesed it with trade services). They killed all pre-map grinding strategies. There's no reason to spend any more time in campaign than necessary to reach maps. Campaign is just one long unavoidable tutorial.

It's still designed around trading. You CAN do it SSF but it's not particularly fun unless you're turbo hardcore and build variety is extremely limited.

You're not going to find one. You might as well just play an MMO or Souls/Elden Ring game for character builds. MOBA/ASShomosexuals have potentially interesting character build aspects but its wasted on worthless competitive/tourneygay nonsense--gone are the days of WC3 or SC2 map editor rogue/rpg maps.
Binding of Isaac. Granted Repetence kinda ruined the game balance, but thankfully you can cheese it by playing multiplayer for everything except the moronic daily challenge winstreak which you can just cheese by waiting for some attention prostitute to release a cheat sheet on the subreddit.
Terraria. Once you get bored with the main game, you can play addons. The only problem with addons right now is Tmodloader slow as frick to update to the current Terraria version so you lose out on all the QoL stuff that addons can't implement through Tmodloader. You can still use certain addons that require modified exe but they're a pain in the ass and the only good content mods rely on Tmodloader for clout. I advise not playing the game on Master Mode first because build diversity sucks, and any content creators still haven't properly balanced their mods around it.
Noita and Risk of Rain 2 are technically pseudo-ARPG but still worth a look also.

I just couldn't get into it at all, there was no real character progression or player freedom. You literally couldn't experiment with builds, because in the end you were forced down a predetermined playstyle, thanks to the shitty itemization. The mobile game was the final nail in the coffin. I simply don't believe Blizzard can make a good Diablo anymore, it's all just pigslop built around instant gratification for single digit iq tards. Not that ARPGs were ever a particularily high IQ genre, but at least respect a base level of the player's intelligence.

You finish the main questline by like level 40-50 depending on how much side stuff you did...so you get a mount for another 50-60 levels...
