Blizzdrones are the most bewildering fanbase I’ve ever seen. They treat the purchase of blizzard games like a necessity as if they’re paying their utility bills. No other fanbase is so subservient to a company like blizzdrones. They mostly play blizzard games and nothing else, they buy regardless of how shit the product is, they buy the expansions/DLC/season pass regardless of how much they hate the base game. No other company has such a loyal fanbase. Nintendo, Sony, Ubisoft, Microsoft to name a few, had their share of commercial blunders. Not blizzard though.

I'm kinda happy they're slowing down the combat a bit in Diablo 4 after trying PoE
I've been playing PoE for the first time now over the past week+, and on the third or so day of playing the crucible I don't even know what my character does anymore. I hold one button and I automatically zap through 5 screens 1 shotting everything in half a second (flicker strike build). I just can't help but to think how boring this gameplay is. Boss fights are slower and really fun that require micromanagement and trial and error to figure out, but the farming might as well just be automated for me.
Anyway, both D3 and PoE seems to have incredibly fast combat which imo defeats the purpose of having a solid engine and combat mechanics. Still we have no clue how the D4 endgame is and for all we know it might ramp up crazy like aforementioned games do. Hoping for some sanity in the ARPG lategame.
What do you guys think about slowing down the combat from D3/PoE pace? Is this just an early game illusion we're given which will go out of control in lategame? lmk

Pretty bad. The loot isn't interesting, the dungeons are linear and boring, trading and crafting are removed, skill tree is super shallow like the rest of the game, and on top of it you're supporting pay2win cancer.

We have seen way too many of their frickups and how they repeatedly axe their own games.
It's always the same copium cycle of "next game will be good, next game will be the one", they release some "cool" cinematic or whatever to drag people in for the hype and cash and then the games turn out to be mediocre at best.

Haven't bought anything from them in ten years and d4 looks and plays alright. Tried it out, had fun, will buy the game if early access gorillas don't find anything horrible yet. Reviews say the game is not reinventing the wheel or pushing the boundaries of arpgs, but fun, endgame is fun, and so on. Sounds like an overall okay package, an expensive one although.

It's always the same copium cycle of "next game will be good, next game will be the one", they release some "cool" cinematic or whatever to drag people in for the hype and cash and then the games turn out to be mediocre at best.
After Warcraft 3 refunded and the way they killed ow2, what possible reason do you have to believe D4 will be the "good one"?
The studio hasn't done anything truly worthwhile in over a decade but people still slurp them up because of their past glories.
Haven't bought anything from them in ten years and d4 looks and plays alright. Tried it out, had fun, will buy the game if early access gorillas don't find anything horrible yet. Reviews say the game is not reinventing the wheel or pushing the boundaries of arpgs, but fun, endgame is fun, and so on. Sounds like an overall okay package, an expensive one although.
