I miss HoTS. I know it's still around but since Bl*zz declared it dead it has very low player base. It was a fun, super light moba for those of us with autism who don't want to spend 40+ minutes getting raped on losing games.

D3 was never hard, just gear check and bigger numbers. D2 was easy until you got to Hell mode and then it fricking shat on you unless you knew what you were doing and had gear to back it up.

Same here. Despite small playerbase it's still active enough. Longest qeue time I ever get is like 3 minutes, and most are only about 30sec-1min. The only part that sucks is you can only realistically play Quick Match and ARAM; draft is dead and you gotta wait 5-10 minutes for a match, ranked or unranked.

Bar is set very low for mobile games and it's pretty decent in that regard. If I were playing this on PC or a console I'd find it embarrassingly bad, but I can play it on my phone sitting in a swimming pool and get a decent port of diablo 3 though so I can't be real mad.

many notable games divide players by language and server, they play on the same server but their language selection divides them by default. For example, dota 2 does this and spanish speakers all click "english" as well to get slightly daster match times, and destroy communication in ranked play.
I don't know you, but I'm spanish and have been playing in Spanish servers all my life and I can assure you I have yet to encounter a single Spanish speaking person.
More so on guild wars 2 where there's only one server and not a single player has spoken in said language during my 200 hours of play.

you can craft 1-star gems with runes easy enough, which is the play early on just to level them up a bit and get resonance. though you could also be unlucky. i've gotten 1-stars from about 25% of my normal crests so far, and I got a 2/5ths-star from a legendary crest i got today on the f2p battlepass.
The gameplay itself is not half bad for a mobile game, as long as you don't care about leaderboards or pvp, both of which are already being dominated by whales. I'm gonna play it till a point where I feel like my progresss is severely gimped by paywalls.
progress seems time-gated more than pay-gated. a huge chunk of your xp on the way to 60 will come from bounties and daily-limited shit more than from general grinding.

We had a list from beta but they shaffled things around and made them scarcer, there is a program but I don't know it. If you click the event prompt some of them do say their schedule so you can go with that. In about 15 should be the event in the mountain area so you probably want to go for that.
You can push GR's the exact same way without spending a penny. D3 GR's aren't competitive because it comes down to time invested instead of money.

Diablo 3 reminds me more of an arcade game like the old gauntlet games than a more detailed arpg like those 3. Never played last epoch but I've played the other 3 quite a bit and they all have their strengths depending on what you feel like doing.

You need to buy FA runes to build them and of course, you can't buy more than 11 each week with the powder from Elden Rifs. (You need to have 7 to build a random rank 1 gem and 22 to build a random rank 1 to 5 star (Most of the time it will be a 1 star)
You can sell skill stones, which anyone can craft and there isn't really any way to actually buy them or improve their drop rate. Then, you take your profit from selling skill stones to buy the lowest rank normal gems from AH and combine them into higher ranked gems. A rank one normal gem sells for ~200, but combine three of them together and it sells for ~2000-3000
The meta for pve is all summons + curse to buff your summons. I use wraith formbecause you can't kill any blue, yellow, red mobs without it also free invulnerability, spinning skeleton because he's fun and easy to control but I want to try archers eventually, molten golem because it's the best one and the last skill can differ. For last option shield helps against bosses and tower like bone wall feels good to use because of slow and stagger.
I don't do pvp but I have different setup for possible pvp encounters during the shadow raid:
-spinning skeleton for damage
-spikes for stun
-three pillar bone walls for stagger and damage
-wraith form to avoid nasty melees
Basically I charge my bone spike right away when I see the pop about immortal invasion and wait for them, then stun the unlucky guys / groups and stagger them so they're just sitting there for like 5-7 seconds doing nothing while my team with skeleton eats them.

Yes but there is a 120 ember leech limit separate from the 200 one. Well it's not exactly a leech limit since everyone has it but you get what I mean. You can get 200 embers a week from just doing rifts and another 120 from crests, whether you are the one using them doesn't matter.
The ones where rewards stop entirely are easy to tell. You always get some yellow dust as a reward, and it's obvious when you don't get any instead.

It's actually really easy if you're farming Kulle's library for yellow/orange mobs since they'll drop you a lego almost every time until you hit your soft cap, after which they pretty much just don't drop anything good until the next day.
I've personally confirmed all of those are true myself sans the 5 treasure rooms in kulles library one. you have to be an actual autist to hunt down 5 pages a dozen times a day (it gives you rewards per each unique treasure room, of which there are 5 I believe, but you aren't even guaranteed to get a different one each time and you could also summon the golem or hydra instead)
I don't really care about most of those. the hard cap that really gets my goat is the cap on weekly rune dust from elder rifts. it's literally the only way to even attempt to get more gems as f2p and they cap you at an amount that essentially limits you to being able to trade for enough Fa runes to gamblecraft a single 2+ star legendary gem once every other week. That's what's going to make me drop this game altogether out of all the hidden caps.
it's not the stats that give whales the edge. it's the OP as frick 5 star gems and their effects. whales literally move like 20% faster than you just as a baseline.
Explain to me why I can shoot one guy for 800-1k a shot and in the same match shoot another guy for 200-300 a shot. I'm only 56 but I assumed everyone had roughly the same base stats in pvp, but there always seems to be a few people who are just unkillable going 30-0 who have some massive statistic advantage.

The Pokemon Go subreddit (notable because it's been in the top 3 grossing app store games for YEARS) has fewer active members than the Diablo Immortal subreddit, but over FIFTY TIMES the number of subscribed users, and Diablo Immortal has already fallen from #4 to #10 in a matter of days.
All this means the game is a shambling corpse, propped up by the most insidious marking techniques. It has far fewer users than they want you to think. Blizzard likely spent their own money in sockpuppet accounts to boost its app store ranking and make headlines.

Doesn't feel like Diablo at all, feels like a generic mobile game. Loot isn't as generous in old Diablo games, half the fun is carting back an inventory full of shit to sell. The game sucked ass. I got to paragon 16 wizard. Then foubdout how pathetic and unplayable thr char was and how limited was thr game play. The only enjoyable wiz build was meteor with damaging blink. All ray spells were trash
I made a second DH and leveled to paragon 22 in 4 days. Was way more. Fun. Then i realized on my 5thday that the server was empty and i couldnt play a single 4man dungeon for hours. Pvp was offline. Vault raids. Lassal raids. Farming areas had like 30 bots each. Each bot was spamming the same buttons on a spawning spot. The gane lagged horribly in library.
Anyway dh was the best class when it came to pvp and pve.
The reason i uninstalled was hell2 rule that you need to have full party for dungeon. The caps on everything on a. Grinding game
Bots farming. And the final nail in the coffin was the pvp system where i lost everygame despite being thr mvp and dying only once on firsr game. Seconds game a necro whale soloed my whole group.
Should never have bought a phone. 2/10

Dark Nemesis was cool for 20 mins but its all auto and wallet dumping afterwards. I haven't tried Raziel but I heard good things, but it seems to lack the pleasant visuals and feedback of Immortal.
not anymore. cod mobile and pubg changed that for me. pubg is too aged and the new pubg for mobile plays like a chinese rip off with better graphics. but codm is fun if you play BR. also i started playing apex and it seems fun, just with more of a learning curve.... some mobile games are actually pretty good now. i just wish they had made d2r mobile. if it can work on switch it should be doable. also theres other fun mobile games like ARK and a few others. just gotta have a decent phone with at least a 7inch screen. or a good tablet... i hated mobile games on a small phone.

Didn't know it was out for so long but just played it for the first time today. Never played a diablo and had no expectations going in but did know everyone was shitting on it. So I'm enjoying it but I have only played on my break and lunch at work and it's kept me from btd6 today as my distraction on those.
Don't see me enjoying it enough to pay the micro transactions but do see me wanting to get a controller for it since I can always use it for other games.

You may notice there are different rankings, like bronze/silver/gold etc and all of the whales are going to be on the higher end of it. I'm in gold 2 and I've seen multiple people with awakened gear (requires a level 10 legendary gem) and they typically dominate the matches.
Currently gold 2 is where I am personally struggling. Although I don't really feel like the enemies are particularly stronger. It's mostly my team being moronic and not playing the objective. Like, when you are playing defense, your number one objective should be stalling, not keeping a good k/d ratio.
I'm necromancer and I have no idea what the frick I'm doing. I don't know what skills to use. Right now I have bonewall and manage to help my team score kills with it on
inferno golem + skeletons + the knock up bone wall + skelemages or bone armor
personally I like skelemages with the 2 mages skill since you can have like 4 up at a time and it fricks with targeting and combines well with the bone walls, you'll get shit for kills but be super annoying and win objectives for your team

Let me sum it up for you.
First there are the shadow wars where the top 10 shadow clans are selected. These are the clans that have the right to challenge the Immortals.
After that begins the rite of exile, which will determine whether you can dethrone the Immortals. Those 10 clans will fight in BG matches, those matches were easy as frick this week because there were no real Immortals yet so it was just placeholder NPCs.
If the shadows win most of them, they get to progress and challenge the Immortal himself, who is the player raid boss. In that 3 players from those 10 clans for a total of 30 participate. If they do kill the Immortal, the current immortal reign ends, and a new one is crowned.
The way the new Immortals are decided are from those 30 players from the top 10 shadow clans. Immediately after the Immortal is dead, those thirty will have a free for all of sorts and the surviving clan will be crowned the new Immortals.
There can be a total of 300 Immortals. So the winning clan makes for the founding 100 as the main Immortal clan and they can then recruit 2 more clans to assist them as fellow Immortals.
Then the circle repeats. Only this time it will be a little different since there are actual Immortals now. For example vault raids will actually give legendary loot directly from the Immortal vault, and actual players will be defending it.

You mean the other two clans the immortals can choose to join them? If so, they are full blown immortals, they get all the benefits, the quest line, the wings and the like. The only difference is that the main Immortal clan will be displayed on the wall of honor as the founders and that if I am not mistaken, you essentially give up your position as a clan leader when joining the immortals, since the immortals have one leader, the immortal, the clan leader of the founding clan.
I should clarify that what I meant is that the other clan leaders can still manage their clan (since the immortals recruit two whole clans, not individuals), but they don't get any benefits or power over the immortals as a whole like The Immortal gets.

Bestiary is almost definitely the best renewable legendary source. The vault too since apparently now you get a guaranteed legendary if you make it all the way, but that probably has a weekly cap in itself.
honestly with legendaries just get them asap just make sure to get the important bonus skills, you get like 8-10 legendaries a day just playing normally and the first 3 green gears are very easy to get
Probably the bundle that gives a bunch of aspirant keys and orbs, and then the rest on eternal legendary crests.
The keys directlly get you more stat power and has no luck factor, you use them on the horadrim chests and get more stats permenantly.
Then eternal crests so that you can get some tradeable gems and start market place flipping. That initial boost of platinum helps speed things up plus you might get a good gem for yourself.
This assumes you never spend any money ever again, cause if you do then what I just suggested is probably dog shit.
Battle pass and Prodigy's path is only good if you intend to play for a long time, otherwise it's bait. Keep in mind you MIGHT get power from the crests but you will likely get gem fodder

A f2p player can get up to 5 blue crests a day (1 freebie + 2 for 600 hilts from hilt shop +2 for 600 hilts from the hilt suprise shop if you time it right)
That means a f2p have a 25% chance each day to get a gem drop if they can manage making 1200 hilts a day since gem drops are a 5% chance.
With 100% chance, the chance of getting a 2 star like echoing shade or bloodthorn jade is 0.3% chance which makes it at 0.075% chance to get daily for a f2p player. And for a 100% chance drop getting a 5 star gem is a 0.03% chance which makes it a 0.0075% chance daily for a f2p player to get.
Also to level a single 2 star gem like echoing shade costs 50 1 star gems just to level from 1 to 2.

Is any one else suffering constant lag and reconnecting? Game worked fine til a week ago and now it's unplayable. Nothings changed on my end. I did notice when I was downloading the content after I said repair the client it didn't lag as bad but as soon as all the packs were done it was back to lag city.

Shadows have the advantage as their personal and clan rank increase. It's how it was developed.
That being said if there's an immortal clan/clans that are full of whales or kraken's it might offset shadow advantages. The immortals on our server are stacked with whales. Their members are all over the leaderboards.
Hit paragon 60 and I'm uninstalling, I gave it a month but this shit is just actively unfun to play. If this was just mostly single player with unlimited crests and no caps on drops and daily quests deleted it might have been a decent arpg.
The grinding caps are really the killer issue despite all the whining about crests.
You can ignore gems but you can't ignore paragon exp gains being sucked away from you.
For me the thing that kept me playing shit like poe/d2/titan quest/grim dawn was the random chance to get some really really great loot and gearing up multiple characters. D:I completely failed that, the only thing worth getting excited over is a 2*+ gem but the free crests are a 1 in 20 chance just to get a chance to roll for a 1 in 200/2000 chance to get a good item.

end of hell 1 to hell 2 is apparently where the f2p go to die, all the old alpha/beta testers predicted the game would stagnate around then but I don't think anyone predicted the huge drop off that actually happened
on my server now there aren't even enough immortals to fill up guilds with capped players and several notable whales are just gone

honestly the core game is solid, runs smooth and is fun to play but the artificial caps and gems being the only meaningful way to get cr mean that you have to pay to get any progress and you are punished for playing more than the dailies allows
I've played f2p up to paragon 70 (1900 gear score at that time) then I've spent $50 on a pack and $5 on the battle pass. (For winning the grand prize you don't need to buy every ticket.)
I think I heard Tier 2 is the wall, but I didn't get to it. Or was on release, at any rate. At the time it seemed like they'd put the wall at one tier below max so you can experience most of the game but still grind for months to get that last 5%.
I think the gameplay is okay, its the very limited amount of areas to play. The entire game has as much area as a single chapter from previous diablo games. Definitely just a cash cow for blizzard until they release D4.

The thing is, despite all the monetization you can reach the highest rank in battleground and complete all pve content while getting weekly rewards for top 10 or top 20.
Yes monetization is atrocious but it only matters for people who wants to become immortals or at the highest level of battleground past legend rank.
In my opinion the bigger issue isn't monetization but the huge amount of bugs, broken systems and poorly thought content without any changes between difficulties. So in short you can say there's no endgame and there's nothing to grind except slightly higher stats. The game doesn't keep you hooked when you reach this point.
Either way a lot of people are leaving right now so I'll give this game one more month at mostm until new class comes out and break the game even harder.

How about for poison corpse explosion (from Rotspur legendary) , from multiple corpses. I.e. Will exploding one corpse do the same damage over time as exploding multiple overlapping corpses in the area?
On a side note: why is bone spear just so bad?
Sometimes it hits 2 minions simultaneously on the first hit and they both get - 50% of the base damage. Its terrible and the bugginess makes it terribler.
Bone spear is good on bg. Everything related to corpse explosion is too slow and useless, be it grinding spots or raids.
for grind you need:
wraith form to keep up with teammates
skeleton captain for quick burst
curse with damage (don't mistake for buff, debuff or blind one)
molten golem for quick damage with jump and burn
Occasionally you can use 2 melee reapers when you party is slow and you don't need speed.
Raid boss setup is basically the same except replace curse with 5 hits shield and wraith form with 2 reapers if you're confident.
Corpse management was cool and fun before everyone hit paragon - hell2 but in the end it's useless. Well, maybe you can try it in portals but imo top 20 without efforts nets you enough tilts for a week unless you want to be super competitive and try new thingw but then you don't need my advices.
What makes bone spear good in pvp - it prevents healing for a period of time and you can hit more than 1 person but it's a bit slower.
As for your original question I have no idea, it ticks and the enemies get slowed down if we're thinking about the same skill, the rest doesn't matter.

The cheapest way is to buy bp but it doesn't help you much. Actually you don't need anything, just don't forget to collect all of your daily stones in overworld, hidden lairs and buy them from merchans (I mean those stone that give you stats in green items). Basically you can't miss atk stones, the rest of activities are debatable but you'd better do everything that rewards titls amd you need to find some friends to finish those activities.
Personally I dropped this game right after hitting 90 paragon a week ago but you can ask me some things about necro or stuff in general.
Depends on what you want to do.
Spending really boils down to trying for specific gems.
Battlepass gives you a cosmetic and a bunch of goodies if you are into that.
Outside of that you'll be playing to collect legendary and set items with the preferred attributes and upping your paragon level.
You should still do it everyday regardless because killing the monsters there gives you some aspirant keys to accumulate and you also get one free chest.
Anyway, each chest you open gives you diminishing returns for your chest so it's better to just open up all the chests in the first room each day and then go home. Especially if you haven't gotten iben fahd's tenacity from the chests yet, which has an equal chance to drop from any ches, so opening more and cheaper chests is beneficial over opening less and more expensive chests.

Personally I love Diablo: Immortal. I spent over $250k on in-game purchases, and it has shown me the true path to enlightenment. After losing my wife, kids, car, job, and home to afford the addiction, I found that while I had spent more, I had less. Diablo: Immortal taught me how to live a life without material possessions. It was only after stripping me of everything I've ever loved did I know true happiness in freeing myself of the burden of having any money at all. I now live in the woods, living off the fat of the land. I hunt to survive and have become nomadic, befriending various forest creatures and embarking on magical forest journeys, then return to my cave and new family of Orangutans. I only occasionally return to society to access McDonalds wi-fi to preach the new good word of Diablo: Immortal.
Yes though it gets less efficient as you go beyond server level.
That being said you can then grind up another character and there's always loot to amass/improve.
I remember reading somewhere that it would take you decades or even centuries of pure grinding to catch up to whales, it's best not to take the game seriously as f2p

Heh, I'm at 35 bestiary pages and my CR just hit 1300. I think I've pretty much hit the limit of free play, I haven't made much progress over the last week. I'll probably keep running bounties and try to get all the zone quests until I get bored then stop. Got like a solid month of entertainment out of it though which I'm pretty satisfied with for a free game.
Are all dungeons equal? Like is pit of anguish more likely to drop better loot than mad kings breach. Mad King's breach is easiest to run as a player who is relying on carry in H3 dungeons, I keep dying on the other dungeons or getting slowed down because they have 'sections' which annoys my teammates.
Blizzard business model has always been "steal these guys idea and polish it to make it better" and they've been pretty succesful at it up to WoW.
But since Wow they tried to:
Have the new dota and failed miserably
Have the new CS but failed miserably
Have the new Magic, succeded but somehow managed to frick it up
Now Diablo Immortal they took one of their own game and tried to polish it for mobile but it doesnt matter how much you polish a turd, in the end it's still a turd

I'm paragon 80, credit rating 1700. I don't really know how to progress anymore. I have a bunch of unused paragon points - another player advised me to put my paragon points into the treasure hunter paragon, would that help me find more legendaries/set items?
Update- I put all my paragon points into treasure hunter and have begun joining H3 raids, thankful that all groups I've joined have been willing to carry me. I managed to get 4 green pieces from dungeons, unfortunately a few are duplicates, but I raised my CR about 150 points so I'm slowly getting there.
I'm not really sure. I put points into it but I also started joining hell 3 dungeons which have been dropping better equipment, so I don't know which is more helpful. I suggest farming/running dungeons until your paragon is high enough to join H3 dungeons, then join the dungeons but be nice as the 3 other people will have to carry you. Usually they don't mind as long as I don't keep dying and stalling their progress.

More and more frequently I am seeing people ask for carry. Players I have seen in chat or in town for weeks or months now. It's refreshing to be in a game or server where people are so friendly about this - maybe it's a clever community building feature - but I don't see how a game like this can survive if the equivalent of powerleveling becomes a necessary activity for players who want the traditional Diablo experience of pushing gradually into the next difficulty via gear drops. They're marrying the traditional mid-game Diablo experience to endgame WoW loot farming, and I don't see it working.

Same here. Despite small playerbase it's still active enough. Longest qeue time I ever get is like 3 minutes, and most are only about 30sec-1min. The only part that sucks is you can only realistically play Quick Match and ARAM; draft is dead and you gotta wait 5-10 minutes for a match, ranked or unranked.

Bar is set very low for mobile games and it's pretty decent in that regard. If I were playing this on PC or a console I'd find it embarrassingly bad, but I can play it on my phone sitting in a swimming pool and get a decent port of diablo 3 though so I can't be real mad.

many notable games divide players by language and server, they play on the same server but their language selection divides them by default. For example, dota 2 does this and spanish speakers all click "english" as well to get slightly daster match times, and destroy communication in ranked play.

you can craft 1-star gems with runes easy enough, which is the play early on just to level them up a bit and get resonance. though you could also be unlucky. i've gotten 1-stars from about 25% of my normal crests so far, and I got a 2/5ths-star from a legendary crest i got today on the f2p battlepass.
I got carried through a raid by randos and was able to push challenge rift 11 for the legacy crystals. I also think I got lucky with lego drops

progress seems time-gated more than pay-gated. a huge chunk of your xp on the way to 60 will come from bounties and daily-limited shit more than from general grinding.

Look on the auction house at some of them premium gems and then decide. There's one that makes 2 clones of your character that do like 25% of your damage each with near 100% uptime and can tank mobs and are generally the most OP thing in the game.

We had a list from beta but they shaffled things around and made them scarcer, there is a program but I don't know it. If you click the event prompt some of them do say their schedule so you can go with that. In about 15 should be the event in the mountain area so you probably want to go for that.

Diablo 3 reminds me more of an arcade game like the old gauntlet games than a more detailed arpg like those 3. Never played last epoch but I've played the other 3 quite a bit and they all have their strengths depending on what you feel like doing.
DI is like a shitty version of d3 but I can play it on my phone at work and there aren't any more polished arpgs for mobile out there yet.

You can sell skill stones, which anyone can craft and there isn't really any way to actually buy them or improve their drop rate. Then, you take your profit from selling skill stones to buy the lowest rank normal gems from AH and combine them into higher ranked gems. A rank one normal gem sells for ~200, but combine three of them together and it sells for ~2000-3000

The meta for pve is all summons + curse to buff your summons. I use wraith formbecause you can't kill any blue, yellow, red mobs without it also free invulnerability, spinning skeleton because he's fun and easy to control but I want to try archers eventually, molten golem because it's the best one and the last skill can differ. For last option shield helps against bosses and tower like bone wall feels good to use because of slow and stagger.
I don't do pvp but I have different setup for possible pvp encounters during the shadow raid:
-spinning skeleton for damage
-spikes for stun
-three pillar bone walls for stagger and damage
-wraith form to avoid nasty melees
Basically I charge my bone spike right away when I see the pop about immortal invasion and wait for them, then stun the unlucky guys / groups and stagger them so they're just sitting there for like 5-7 seconds doing nothing while my team with skeleton eats them.
People are angry because I'm enjoying immortal.
How many room and how many keys per chest are we going to need anyway. I had 50ish keys and it already felt good to use them all.

I just want a barb build that can whirlwind for very long times and maybe use a filler now and then to recharge. But so far my whirlwind ticks are doing less than my single targets and WAAAY less than my hammer/cleave.
Until you find legendary gear/gems geared toward your desired build you have to settle for whatever is fastest at clearing crowds.

Female monk could have been 10 times as hot if they kept the white haired one. The story monk girl also real grew on me, I was genuinely pretty angry with the literal homosexual that killed her. From what I understood the most efficient use of them is to make sure you open the first room every day since it gives the best value and then maybe open up the maximum amount you can in a day, which is 300 something, since it also gives better value than using up only 100 or something like that.

Yes but there is a 120 ember leech limit separate from the 200 one. Well it's not exactly a leech limit since everyone has it but you get what I mean. You can get 200 embers a week from just doing rifts and another 120 from crests, whether you are the one using them doesn't matter.

The ones where rewards stop entirely are easy to tell. You always get some yellow dust as a reward, and it's obvious when you don't get any instead.

It's actually really easy if you're farming Kulle's library for yellow/orange mobs since they'll drop you a lego almost every time until you hit your soft cap, after which they pretty much just don't drop anything good until the next day.
for me gem drops completely stop after around 2 hours of grinding library.
I fully believe the hidden lair ones because I farmed the shit out of them one day and got way less gems than I thought I should've had
I've personally confirmed all of those are true myself sans the 5 treasure rooms in kulles library one. you have to be an actual autist to hunt down 5 pages a dozen times a day (it gives you rewards per each unique treasure room, of which there are 5 I believe, but you aren't even guaranteed to get a different one each time and you could also summon the golem or hydra instead)
I don't really care about most of those. the hard cap that really gets my goat is the cap on weekly rune dust from elder rifts. it's literally the only way to even attempt to get more gems as f2p and they cap you at an amount that essentially limits you to being able to trade for enough Fa runes to gamblecraft a single 2+ star legendary gem once every other week. That's what's going to make me drop this game altogether out of all the hidden caps.

Explain to me why I can shoot one guy for 800-1k a shot and in the same match shoot another guy for 200-300 a shot. I'm only 56 but I assumed everyone had roughly the same base stats in pvp, but there always seems to be a few people who are just unkillable going 30-0 who have some massive statistic advantage.

The Pokemon Go subreddit (notable because it's been in the top 3 grossing app store games for YEARS) has fewer active members than the Diablo Immortal subreddit, but over FIFTY TIMES the number of subscribed users, and Diablo Immortal has already fallen from #4 to #10 in a matter of days.
All this means the game is a shambling corpse, propped up by the most insidious marking techniques. It has far fewer users than they want you to think. Blizzard likely spent their own money in sockpuppet accounts to boost its app store ranking and make headlines.

Doesn't feel like Diablo at all, feels like a generic mobile game. Loot isn't as generous in old Diablo games, half the fun is carting back an inventory full of shit to sell. Abilities and ultimates feel shitty. Don't like how the gear looks and the cosmetics make me want to barf. Character customization is so limited and you almost never see your PC's face so why even bother? Story is stupid. I made a second DH and leveled to paragon 22 in 4 days. Was way more. Fun. Then i realized on my 5thday that the server was empty and i couldnt play a single 4man dungeon for hours. Pvp was offline. Vault raids. Lassal raids. Farming areas had like 30 bots each. Each bot was spamming the same buttons on a spawning spot. The gane lagged horribly in library.
Anyway dh was the best class when it came to pvp and pve.
The reason i uninstalled was hell2 rule that you need to have full party for dungeon. The caps on everything on a. Grinding game
Bots farming. And the final nail in the coffin was the pvp system where i lost everygame despite being thr mvp and dying only once on firsr game. Seconds game a necro whale soloed my whole group.

Didn't know it was out for so long but just played it for the first time today. Never played a diablo and had no expectations going in but did know everyone was shitting on it. So I'm enjoying it but I have only played on my break and lunch at work and it's kept me from btd6 today as my distraction on those.

You may notice there are different rankings, like bronze/silver/gold etc and all of the whales are going to be on the higher end of it. I'm in gold 2 and I've seen multiple people with awakened gear (requires a level 10 legendary gem) and they typically dominate the matches.
Currently gold 2 is where I am personally struggling. Although I don't really feel like the enemies are particularly stronger. It's mostly my team being moronic and not playing the objective. Like, when you are playing defense, your number one objective should be stalling, not keeping a good k/d ratio.

I'm necromancer and I have no idea what the frick I'm doing. I don't know what skills to use. Right now I have bonewall and manage to help my team score kills with it on
inferno golem + skeletons + the knock up bone wall + skelemages or bone armor
personally I like skelemages with the 2 mages skill since you can have like 4 up at a time and it fricks with targeting and combines well with the bone walls, you'll get shit for kills but be super annoying and win objectives for your team

I didn't understand it, did a super easy BG match vs some weak npcs then there was a FFA brawl with the top 3 people from the 8 top clans? And the winner kicks everyone out of the shadows for a week?
Let me sum it up for you.
First there are the shadow wars where the top 10 shadow clans are selected. These are the clans that have the right to challenge the Immortals.
After that begins the rite of exile, which will determine whether you can dethrone the Immortals. Those 10 clans will fight in BG matches, those matches were easy as frick this week because there were no real Immortals yet so it was just placeholder NPCs.
If the shadows win most of them, they get to progress and challenge the Immortal himself, who is the player raid boss. In that 3 players from those 10 clans for a total of 30 participate. If they do kill the Immortal, the current immortal reign ends, and a new one is crowned.
The way the new Immortals are decided are from those 30 players from the top 10 shadow clans. Immediately after the Immortal is dead, those thirty will have a free for all of sorts and the surviving clan will be crowned the new Immortals.
There can be a total of 300 Immortals. So the winning clan makes for the founding 100 as the main Immortal clan and they can then recruit 2 more clans to assist them as fellow Immortals.
Then the circle repeats. Only this time it will be a little different since there are actual Immortals now. For example vault raids will actually give legendary loot directly from the Immortal vault, and actual players will be defending it.
So if I'm reading this right.

If the immortal wins, he gets to reign for another week. The way the circle works though, the shadows get exponentially stronger the more time passes. So it's not a matter of if but of when. He will be dethroned, it's inevitable.

You mean the other two clans the immortals can choose to join them? If so, they are full blown immortals, they get all the benefits, the quest line, the wings and the like. The only difference is that the main Immortal clan will be displayed on the wall of honor as the founders and that if I am not mistaken, you essentially give up your position as a clan leader when joining the immortals, since the immortals have one leader, the immortal, the clan leader of the founding clan.
I should clarify that what I meant is that the other clan leaders can still manage their clan (since the immortals recruit two whole clans, not individuals), but they don't get any benefits or power over the immortals as a whole like The Immortal gets.

Probably the bundle that gives a bunch of aspirant keys and orbs, and then the rest on eternal legendary crests.
The keys directlly get you more stat power and has no luck factor, you use them on the horadrim chests and get more stats permenantly.
Then eternal crests so that you can get some tradeable gems and start market place flipping. That initial boost of platinum helps speed things up plus you might get a good gem for yourself.
This assumes you never spend any money ever again, cause if you do then what I just suggested is probably dog shit.
Battle pass and Prodigy's path is only good if you intend to play for a long time, otherwise it's bait. Keep in mind you MIGHT get power from the crests but you will likely get gem fodder

A f2p player can get up to 5 blue crests a day (1 freebie + 2 for 600 hilts from hilt shop +2 for 600 hilts from the hilt suprise shop if you time it right)
That means a f2p have a 25% chance each day to get a gem drop if they can manage making 1200 hilts a day since gem drops are a 5% chance.
With 100% chance, the chance of getting a 2 star like echoing shade or bloodthorn jade is 0.3% chance which makes it at 0.075% chance to get daily for a f2p player. And for a 100% chance drop getting a 5 star gem is a 0.03% chance which makes it a 0.0075% chance daily for a f2p player to get.
Also to level a single 2 star gem like echoing shade costs 50 1 star gems just to level from 1 to 2.

Is any one else suffering constant lag and reconnecting? Game worked fine til a week ago and now it's unplayable. Nothings changed on my end. I did notice when I was downloading the content after I said repair the client it didn't lag as bad but as soon as all the packs were done it was back to lag city.

Shadows have the advantage as their personal and clan rank increase. It's how it was developed.
That being said if there's an immortal clan/clans that are full of whales or kraken's it might offset shadow advantages. The immortals on our server are stacked with whales. Their members are all over the leaderboards.
Hit paragon 60 and I'm uninstalling, I gave it a month but this shit is just actively unfun to play. If this was just mostly single player with unlimited crests and no caps on drops and daily quests deleted it might have been a decent arpg.

D:I completely failed that, the only thing worth getting excited over is a 2*+ gem but the free crests are a 1 in 20 chance just to get a chance to roll for a 1 in 200/2000 chance to get a good item.

end of hell 1 to hell 2 is apparently where the f2p go to die, all the old alpha/beta testers predicted the game would stagnate around then but I don't think anyone predicted the huge drop off that actually happened

I've played f2p up to paragon 70 (1900 gear score at that time) then I've spent $50 on a pack and $5 on the battle pass. (For winning the grand prize you don't need to buy every ticket.)

I think I heard Tier 2 is the wall, but I didn't get to it. Or was on release, at any rate. At the time it seemed like they'd put the wall at one tier below max so you can experience most of the game but still grind for months to get that last 5%.
I think the gameplay is okay, its the very limited amount of areas to play. The entire game has as much area as a single chapter from previous diablo games. Definitely just a cash cow for blizzard until they release D4.

The thing is, despite all the monetization you can reach the highest rank in battleground and complete all pve content while getting weekly rewards for top 10 or top 20.
Yes monetization is atrocious but it only matters for people who wants to become immortals or at the highest level of battleground past legend rank.
In my opinion the bigger issue isn't monetization but the huge amount of bugs, broken systems and poorly thought content without any changes between difficulties. So in short you can say there's no endgame and there's nothing to grind except slightly higher stats. The game doesn't keep you hooked when you reach this point.
Either way a lot of people are leaving right now so I'll give this game one more month at mostm until new class comes out and break the game even harder.

Sometimes it hits 2 minions simultaneously on the first hit and they both get - 50% of the base damage. Its terrible and the bugginess makes it terribler.
Bone spear is good on bg. Everything related to corpse explosion is too slow and useless, be it grinding spots or raids.
for grind you need:
wraith form to keep up with teammates
skeleton captain for quick burst
curse with damage (don't mistake for buff, debuff or blind one)
molten golem for quick damage with jump and burn
Occasionally you can use 2 melee reapers when you party is slow and you don't need speed.
Raid boss setup is basically the same except replace curse with 5 hits shield and wraith form with 2 reapers if you're confident.
Corpse management was cool and fun before everyone hit paragon - hell2 but in the end it's useless. Well, maybe you can try it in portals but imo top 20 without efforts nets you enough tilts for a week unless you want to be super competitive and try new thingw but then you don't need my advices.
What makes bone spear good in pvp - it prevents healing for a period of time and you can hit more than 1 person but it's a bit slower.
As for your original question I have no idea, it ticks and the enemies get slowed down if we're thinking about the same skill, the rest doesn't matter.
The cheapest way is to buy bp but it doesn't help you much. Actually you don't need anything, just don't forget to collect all of your daily stones in overworld, hidden lairs and buy them from merchans (I mean those stone that give you stats in green items). Basically you can't miss atk stones, the rest of activities are debatable but you'd better do everything that rewards titls amd you need to find some friends to finish those activities.
Personally I dropped this game right after hitting 90 paragon a week ago but you can ask me some things about necro or stuff in general.

Spending really boils down to trying for specific gems.
Battlepass gives you a cosmetic and a bunch of goodies if you are into that.
Outside of that you'll be playing to collect legendary and set items with the preferred attributes and upping your paragon level.

You should still do it everyday regardless because killing the monsters there gives you some aspirant keys to accumulate and you also get one free chest.
Anyway, each chest you open gives you diminishing returns for your chest so it's better to just open up all the chests in the first room each day and then go home. Especially if you haven't gotten iben fahd's tenacity from the chests yet, which has an equal chance to drop from any ches, so opening more and cheaper chests is beneficial over opening less and more expensive chests.

Personally I love Diablo: Immortal. I spent over $250k on in-game purchases, and it has shown me the true path to enlightenment. After losing my wife, kids, car, job, and home to afford the addiction, I found that while I had spent more, I had less. Diablo: Immortal taught me how to live a life without material possessions. It was only after stripping me of everything I've ever loved did I know true happiness in freeing myself of the burden of having any money at all. I now live in the woods, living off the fat of the land. I hunt to survive and have become nomadic, befriending various forest creatures and embarking on magical forest journeys, then return to my cave and new family of Orangutans. I only occasionally return to society to access McDonalds wi-fi to preach the new good word of Diablo: Immortal.

Heh, I'm at 35 bestiary pages and my CR just hit 1300. I think I've pretty much hit the limit of free play, I haven't made much progress over the last week. I'll probably keep running bounties and try to get all the zone quests until I get bored then stop. Got like a solid month of entertainment out of it though which I'm pretty satisfied with for a free game.

It's pretty much all anout running dungeons at the highest level you can. Nothing else is going to improve your gear unless you pay the man.
Are all dungeons equal? Like is pit of anguish more likely to drop better loot than mad kings breach. Mad King's breach is easiest to run as a player who is relying on carry in H3 dungeons, I keep dying on the other dungeons or getting slowed down because they have 'sections' which annoys my teammates.

I'm paragon 80, credit rating 1700. I don't really know how to progress anymore. I have a bunch of unused paragon points - another player advised me to put my paragon points into the treasure hunter paragon, would that help me find more legendaries/set items?
Update- I put all my paragon points into treasure hunter and have begun joining H3 raids, thankful that all groups I've joined have been willing to carry me. I managed to get 4 green pieces from dungeons, unfortunately a few are duplicates, but I raised my CR about 150 points so I'm slowly getting there.

I'm not really sure. I put points into it but I also started joining hell 3 dungeons which have been dropping better equipment, so I don't know which is more helpful. I suggest farming/running dungeons until your paragon is high enough to join H3 dungeons, then join the dungeons but be nice as the 3 other people will have to carry you. Usually they don't mind as long as I don't keep dying and stalling their progress.

More and more frequently I am seeing people ask for carry. Players I have seen in chat or in town for weeks or months now. It's refreshing to be in a game or server where people are so friendly about this - maybe it's a clever community building feature - but I don't see how a game like this can survive if the equivalent of powerleveling becomes a necessary activity for players who want the traditional Diablo experience of pushing gradually into the next difficulty via gear drops. They're marrying the traditional mid-game Diablo experience to endgame WoW loot farming, and I don't see it working.
It does but it only works on open world the bonus 75% equip items drops you get from that tree, and to amplify the effect you need magic find too, i started getting legendary items even from chests from blue open world quest when around 20%
5 days later, I managed to get my paragon up to 2100 by consistently joining hell 3 dungeons (note you need to be at least paragon 80 or you won't be able to equip stuff dropped in h3 dungeons). I just need to be a little higher before I can comfortably farm on my own, right now I still struggle a little against creeps.
