Diablo 4 is pretty good, but i really hate that it's destiny online, like i am lagging all the time, why does every game have the biggest boner for full online

This post is brought to you by Activision-Blizzard's marketing department.

Not an RPG, not even a good game.

You literally point a cursor and smash a varied combo of 5 buttons with varied cooldowns.

Other arpgs can have more or less buttons, though.

Definitely grim dawn and titan quest, pretty sure torchlight also had a ton of buttons.

I tried Diablo 1 for the first time and while I enjoyed the atmosphere, the gameplay didn't do much for me. Is it worth checking out the others, or is Diablo just not for me?

    >have the biggest boner for full online
Because it's basically DRM and also companies have a massive boner for live service games.

    >30$ skins
    >15$ horse skins
    >10$/month normal battlepass with a "accerelated battlepass" version for 25$ which starts you out on the 20th level and gives you an additional exclusive item you can only get
    in the "acceralated battepass"
    >Need to always be online to play it.
    etc.
They really just made a f2p phone game and sold it to people for 70$ and people actually bought it.

Not only do people buy it, they defend all of the monetization. Not even joking.
At no point should ever defend excessive monetization, especially for a 70$ game.

it's hard to take you seriously when you consider indifference to be "defense"
        i.e.:
        >that stupid shit doesn't bother me because i don't waste time or money on it
the people that mtx affects are shitters and deserve to suffer until they improve

          >it's hard to take you seriously when you consider indifference to be "defense"
Indifference is also bad (if you don't understand why, you're already a lost cause), but no, I'm specifically talking about people that defend it.
          >it's just cosmetic
          >all big games do it
          >online games like this need it
          >etc
A small sample in the image, but you can go to any social media site or similar and just scroll through comments and most of them will defend it, with a few being "indifferent".

What these idiots to not understand is that not only do these companies not need to do these terrible practices to make a profit, but they will keep pushing this to make it worse and worse for you the customer. None of this money will benefit the devs as well.
It's the low brow masses that don't even understand that they're screwing themselves because they can't disconnect their bias because they like the game.
