Yes, I thought it was pretty neat and it didn't make me nauseous or whatever.

Sometimes yeah. It worked better on some games than others. OOT 3D looks pretty fantastic with it turned on.

I bought a 2DS XL as the 3DS itself was being phased out, so no.

yes me at almost all times. I hate that newer games opted for progressively flatter 3D. What is the slider for if you always need it at maximum for a semblance of depth?

all the time, it looks great on a games that have it. mh4u might have some of the best 3d I've seen. Im convinced the only people who claim they don't like the 3d don't have a new 3ds.

Was the original 3ds bad in that regard?

        I had the og, no.

I have both the old and new 3ds xl. and yeah with the old one you could barely turn it the wrong way and the 3d would become completely unfocused. you had to figure out the right slider setting and hold it still at a specific position then it could work. and still didnt look as good as the new.

The N3DS added headtracking via a little infrared camera that stared at your eyeballs while you were playing, based on the light coming off the screen. So it worked even in the dark. OG 3DS had SHIT ALL. It was the equivalent of a lenticular holographic card like they gave away as McDonalds toys.

      >The Wii's motion controls were really bad
      >Nintendo starts selling the Plus remote which fixes most of the issues
      >The 3DS' 3D feature barely works
      >Nintendo starts selling the 3DS XL which fixes most of the issues
      >The Wii U sucks
      >Nintendo starts selling the Switch which fixes most of the issues
I'm starting to notice a pattern here...

I couldn't see it. I couldn't see 3D in the theaters either. My eyes don't have the same focus.

If I was using it in bed, I didn't use it anywhere else though because you always had to look at the screen just right for the 3d shit to work. I still love the thing though.

I'm pretty sure that at some point games no longer used the 3d function.

yes, all the time. was disappointed when games started dropping it by the end of the system's lifespan

I really liked it. Just wished it had a more generous viewing angle. Aparently there are monitors coming out with it. Though I'm afraid it will be pointless without software support.

I used it all the time in 4U since I could better judge the depth for my attacks.

remember when they made an entirely new console and then only released 2 games for it and then released the console again but without 3d? that was neat.

Yes. I even played Kid Icarus Uprising with it turned on and had a pretty good time with that.

Not only did I use the 3D, but also I fricking loved the circle pad and I wish we had two circle pads instead of the shitty tiny joycon sticks

The circle pad slips under my thumb constantly. I wish it had a texture or something. I actually resorted to sticking a little rectangle of tape on top of it.

I had that shit on max permanently. Feel bad for the eyelets who couldn't handle the 3d.

I used it exclusively. I just don't see the point in 3ds without it

Yeah, it was real cool, nothing really compares now, like looking at a small box, Monster Hunter and Resident Evil looked great, but preferred playing 3U with the 3D off as it unlocked the framerate to 60.

Only regularly did in etrian odyssey. Having the UI stand out and look separate to the field and giving the dungeon a feeling of depth was peak comfy.

The market for used 3ds is so fricking bleak, 250€ for a console filled with scratch marks, dead skin and no charger included

I used it once playing monster hunter and although it was cool it made me nauseous. I could probably get used to it though. Makes backgrounds look cool.
