True. I bought a 7800XT while they were on sale a few weeks ago, the frickers lost stole it and after banging my head against their fricking street shitter customer service trying to get a replacement sent, they basically told me to go frick myself and order a new one with the refund I'd get, despite the price now being 50 bucks higher.
Now that it went on sale again, I did just that, but from Newegg. Amazon can eat shit.
That doesn't happen anymore, amazon checks returns and won't refund you if you don't actually send the item back. Also they're not sold as new, they're sold as "renewed" items. If you buy from the normal listing you are guaranteed a brand new product (or your money back).
Better to keep shit cool with. If AMD GPUs are anything like their CPUs, shit's a goddamn housefire in the making. For most people, who are moronic enough to use onboard audio or hipster enough to pretend their little USB DAC/interface is better, it's not like there's a sound card or anything that needs board space. Even streamers who use HDMI like plebs and use a capture card to record/stream their PC shit will usually just have a separate computer with a smaller but still NVENC-enabled GPU to put the capture card into.
that's very fair, but I can't help but to think long term with my upgrades. more longetivity as my next upgrade will be 3+ years later thus saving me far more than $200
My 4080 super has nothing but driver issues and I'm not alone.
Go and read the first few posts https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/18go5ej/game_ready_studio_driver_54633_faqdiscussion/
The official Nvidia forums are even worse, full of people complaining about shit that doesn't work.
So stop acting like Nvidia drivers are flawless. If anything, I have more issues with Nvidia these days: for example, waking up from sleep is completely broken for me. It's a minor issue, I just restart the computer instead, it takes ten seconds. Maybe it isn't even an Nvidia issue, it may be Windows or the motherboard or whatever. But still, my AMD system wakes up from sleep completely fine.

Uninstall old drivers with DDU:

And read the instructions carefully: > You MUST disconnect your internet or completely block Windows Update when running DDU until you have re-installed your new drivers.
PEBKAC error. The one time I've ever had a driver error with an nvidia system that wasn't caused by PNY being incompetent with board design was when wienerstar forgot to actually fix RDR2 and make it work.
>duhhh what games justify
Not everyone has to rely on mommy buying things for them. Improving existing game and productivity performance is always worth it. Nobody NEEDs to justify their hardware upgrades to some whiny homosexual who probably still has a 2nd gen i5 and maybe upgraded his 750ti to a 1060 3gb.
my 3070 struggles to run Nier Automata at 48 avg fps in 1440p. Idk if its a problem with the steam version, but i have to settle for medium setting when i can run dead space remake at 75 fps with raytracing in 1440p.
Not him. Nier Tomato ran like shit on PC because devs used moronic setting for global illumination.
I used FAR but right now try Special K
https://wiki.special-k.info/SpecialK/Custom/FAR
It's time guys, going to retire my RX 580 4gb and bought the new RX 7600XT 12GB that will be delivered at the end of the month, hope that it can run all modern games at ultra 60fps in 1080p.
>4070 ti super >ti >super
what did i miss? are they just changing some screws on the board and putting super at the end?
what kind of money milking joke is this?
I am building a PC this year, played consoles all my life.
Ia this enough to play new games better than PS5/Series X?
Games from the PS360 era at 2160/60?
And I know CPU is more important, but Switch emulator is good enough with this?
go to Ganker catalog
search "PC building"
look at what they say.
don't believe anything else.
they will tell you CPU, GPU, everything for 1080p, 1440p, 4k, work/AI/Video PC, etc.
Sometimes though a homosexual will make the entire post all nvidia or all amd gpus because Ganker are homosexuals sometimes.

Maybe.
Refreshes always come mid gen, so in 8 or so months we will get 5xxx with way better price to performance compared to the supers, but hey, theres always something better on the horizon.
If you cant run shit, you did good
I guess I'm that guy that sits one console generation behind but with PC parts cause I'm barely upgrading to a 3 year old card now while everyone is looking ahead at 4070's and 4080's.
I just upgraded from a 970 to a 4060 TI so that i could play elden ring expansion. its crazy going from low settings and low fps to ultra high settings
Amazon sucks.
That's b&h

>amazog
decent chance it arrives broken
100% refund.
wow so difficult to not get scammed
how moronic are you complete monkeys
you do know that that includes items that were "returned" (aka replaced with a bunch of rocks)

you do know that you're a complete fricking moron
>amazon
you're going to receive a 5 pound rock
This one has 16gb vram unlike the vanilla 4070TI so could be worse I guess
you can play 99.8% of video games with 12gb ram
even at 4k
for the rest you simply go down a settings in shadows or whatever and you're good
got a 4070 TI for half price and I've got almost no issues in 4k
You need it for AI schlop, you dumb caveman gaymur
My 1660 pumps out multiple images per second, what the frick would you need more for?
Lmao no ones playing AAA garbage anymore. VRAM is unnecessary for porn games
anything below 24GB is DOA
>amd
good morning sir
sorry sir but my skin is white
That is a comically large cooler. If this keeps up then GPUs will have to start coming stock with AIO waterblocks.

Post monitor.
I love Amazon. Ever since I got Prime I've been buying everything I need from there. I don't even leave the house for groceries anymore.
So is 799.99 without taxes? Here in Europe the cheapest 4070TI super goes for 915 euros with taxes
$805 with shipping
why not go $200 deeper for twice the frames since you're already upgrading?
I have a 7600x and a 750w PSU. I didn't want to upgrade my PSU just to accommodate the 4080s
a good 750W can sustain that with no problems
that's very fair, but I can't help but to think long term with my upgrades. more longetivity as my next upgrade will be 3+ years later thus saving me far more than $200
Are you one of those morons that think they need a 1000w psu?
Also, $200 is not chump change
>nigvidya
yes, yes you did.
Eh. What you lose in overall perf to it's competitor, you gain in rt and ai if that's your thing.
nah, it's super tuf, why would they lie about that
>Amazon
RIP
I got my 4090 over a year ago, for 300 less than it sells today btw, and still waiting for the 4090 Super Ti Ultra.
Where can I preorder?
SIR PLEASE REDEEM THE RADEON GRAPHICS
How do I get into PC gaming bros? I only have a prebuild for old RTS games and Gmod/HL2 mods
>t. Xbot
Why does Nvidia driver suck so bad on Windows worse than AMD constant problems with chrome and driver issues.
uninstall your AMD driver, anon

works on my console
and consoles use AMD, speciically Ryzen and Radeon 6000 series.
not nintendo
My AMD system has issues with staying asleep. It's the street shitters are Microsoft which are at fault.

works on my machine
Good morning sir
ask yourself what modern game is going to justify using this?
suicide squad
no modern game, but old games at 4k 240fps
How many old games even support 240 fps properly?
Starfield
>duhhh what games justify

Modded skyrim with 8k nipple textures
Well I got a 120fps monitor so it’s for the frames
microsoft flight simulator and DCS world

I want to play cyberpunk 2077 and see what the ray tracing looks like. Also alan wake.
WTF? Are you 12 or just fricking stupid?
>ask what game are you gonna play
>name games
>You are stupid!!!
I knew it before even posting
bonerlord 1k battles
modded minecraft
Well from purely a graphical perspective Avatar Frontiers of Pandora requires a lot of power to run properly. Not a great game though
What if it doesn't fit in your PC case? Ever since I saw that thread a couple weeks ago I've been paranoid about that.
buy a big case
look up what cases other people with the same card used for their build
shit isn’t hard just do research before putting hundreds down
But more importantly what's the best performance/price ratio card you can get?
xbox series x
Kek I just got one of those on Black Friday for 300
I was looking at 4090s but they dont even have dp 2.0 ports.

The 4070 Super is the best card of these new super cards. If we're talking about price for performance. So yeah, I'd say you dide. Slightly.
its closer to what "real" 4060 should be, but there is still solid gap to decent 4070 specs
Nah, probably gonna get one this year myself too but you should've just waited for a sale OP
let me guess, you need more? (updated 2024 from original 6700 XT poster)
the 50 series will be announced in march, release in june.

Please don't, there are couple of morons there who will say the most moronic things. They post more than 12 hours a day.

Why are you moronic?
maybe
https://www.pcgamesn.com/amd/radeon-8000-half-rtx-4080-price

I haven't even upgraded from a 970 because they still make games for the ps4.
lol nvidia selling a four hundred dollar gpu for eight hundred buxx. classic.
how do i trick my manufacturer into sending me an upgraded card on an RMA
I just upgraded from a 970 to a 4060 TI so that i could play elden ring expansion. its crazy going from low settings and low fps to ultra high settings
