How many of the 300 spells are actually useful in BG? I think in my playthroughs, I used like 50 at most and probably much fewer than that on a regular basis
I found that Charm Person could very useful in the bandit camp. I used it to lead bandits one by one far into the woods and kill them without alerting their comrades.
You are a zoomer idiot. Do yourself a favor and get through both games, you might get some common sense and taste to offset the idiocy your generation is cursed with.
And if you don't, the discomfort of a subhuman moron is actually a karmic positive for the world.
Anons, I keep hearing about how Berserk/Mage multiclass is great, because it allows you to use more itens compared to Kensai/Mage... but what is so good about Fighter/Mage in general? I mean, as a mage, shoulnd't you be avoiding direct combat? What are the advantages in practice of Figher/Mage compare to multiclass Priest/Mage?
You try to become a glass cannon, but make up for the glass with illusion spells. So you have the best offence in the game, and a body that can’t be hit.
Just play a sorcerer or wizard, everything else is midwittery. BG2 is THE game with the greatest magic system ever created, where you can apply feeblemind, polymorph into squirrel, silence, deafness, curse, petrify and imprisonment to anyone that inconveniences you in the slightest, or annaly ravage hordes of enemies casting alacrity+timestop+chain contingecy+some really nasty damage spells. Why would you deprive yourself of such amazing experience?
You can do all that already by dual classing fighter -> mage plus you also get fighter abilities on top of that because fighter->mage ends up very close to pure mage by the end anyway
they're not boring, but they didn't age great. The real time with pause was a mistake that took crpgs down a wrong path for too long. It wasn't until the 2015 crpg renaissance with games like divinity original sin / underrail / age of decadence that turn based returned home
RTWP was always the price of getting it produced for developers, and the price of getting a great AD&D game for players. It's less of their fault for doing it (as it really didn't go anywhere after the Infinity Engine games until the nostalgia baiting started with PoE et al), and more ToEE's fault fault for completely shitting the bed. Had Troika stuck the landing, it'd have secured really great tactically deep RPGs much much earlier.

I never understood how Final Fantasy tactics was so beloved but the whole genre stagnated for 20 years after it was made.
It took exactly 20 years for Divinity Original Sin 2 to dethrone the king and other games to start improving the genre.
Should have been toughest crowds
Something tells me that OP doesn't like RPG games
They're not a prerequisite but you're a midwit if you don't like the low level wilderness adventuring of BG1.
/thread
it's fricking comfy
Cringe moron. Go play BG3 so you can bingbing wahoo on a nautiloid in hellworld 5 seconds into the game.
Based, Gorion would be PROUD of your actions.
rtwp sucks, so yeah

50?! More like 10.
The end is just a giant debuff race for the mages.
You want cloud kill, summon skeletons, skull bomb, web. Web is OP.

>bg1
sleep is all you need until it stops working, then use skull trap which carries you through 99% of everything else
Post a picture with all the spells and I will circle the useful ones for you.
>How many of the 300 spells are actually useful in BG
Like 10 or 20.
all zoomers must die
guarantee you that 97% of the people who bought BG3 didnt play 1 or 2.
BG1 is the peak of the series. BG2 is okay and ToB is awful.
You need mods. Specifically EET and SCS.
Unplayable without Imoen Romance mod
She’s your sister you sick frick!
Only for the first half of 2.
Is the Switch version worth it?
Filtered yourself, I guess that based in a subtle way

But wouldn't this be an argument in favor of Cleric/Mage? Since then you would have even more spells.
Ok, that is a good point. I'll allow that.

It's because squeenix are world's biggest morons and making real FFT2 would interfere with their shitty phone games or something
I want my Viccy to step on me again bros
They did her so dirty. Especially Viconia but also Sarevok.
No? BG1 is good, you're probably just a moron.
