marios still a mascott and will ferrell is a well respected comedic legend and ricky bobby holds up as a classic even to this day, so in my opinion Master Chief is definitely, without a doubt, the Janetty.
Xbox really went downhill as soon as Halo stopped being good
Halo 4 came out on the 360 so people knew that 5 was going to be bad and had no desire to buy an XBone and Halo 5
We did it boys, we finally got to the point of console kiddies defending Halo
Halo always paled in comparison to most FPS avaiable at the time like Quake 2, HL1, Medal of honor, UT, Build engine games, Serious Sam.
What CE introduced and made popular for an entire generation is: >copypasting entire sections of the game over and over again >2 weapon limit >regenerating health >shitty cinematics >dedicated granade button >assisted aiming
Halo 2 and 3 took a shitty casual foundation and turned it into a space soap opera
What do you mean? Call of Duty and Medal of Honor did it way before (although MoH was pretty good, it got stale over the years but held out way longer than CoD). They just didn't have an online phenomena like Halo did.
I wasted 30 euro on the master chief collection because I had never gotten around to trying Halo. It sucks ass and feels worse to play than Half Life 1.
Halo was good enough to get dudebros in the 2000s to play it and make it a literal system-seller.
Everyone knew what Halo was. Now it's a zombie of itself just because Call of Duty became the defacto console FPS, and how 343 Studios is clearly not Bungie.

This has been a thing for almost a decade now. Halo + CoD basically altered how every dev team makes a FPS; 99% of the time, the console market is their main audience.
The only shooters primarily on PC that are doing well are: >Counter-Strike >VALORANT
So you can blame the money for that.
halo is pretty much dead as an ip now and thats a good thing.its better to bury its corpse far away from 343s and ms's eyes so they cant ruin it any further.it wont take long before that butthurt quake gay will show to whine about halo.
its like a decent business that was run to the ground by a stupid homosexual that inherited it after the old owner died.343 never put in any real effort because it was simply handed to them.nobody respects the money printer until it stops working.
343 might genuinely be the most incompetent devs in AAA. They took the golden goose and changed everything for no reason when they could have easily sailed by making by-the-numbers Halo 3 knockoffs
kinda unrelated but I feel no pity for their enablers.nuhalo gays deserve whats coming for them.its similar to the old story where the product people leave once the sales gays take over.
If it was made today, Mario would still be there and Aloy would probably replace Ricky Bobby.
Not sure if Master Chief would be there after the last decade or so of Halo.
>tfw the only time my dad ever bought a console of his own accord was the launch PS3 because he wanted a Blu-Ray player and the PS3 was around the price of a standalone so he figured he could kill two birds with one stone by buying it and letting me play vidya on it
>PS3 was around the price of a standalone
Fat PS3 was just the best console ever made. It was expensive but it cost almost the same as a blu-ray player, which was new tech at the time, and had full backwards compatibility.
It's very mid-00s. Like those brief few years when people gave a shit about what new format would succeed DVDs. That's the whole reason the emphasis was on Ricky Bobby.
And then a few years later Netflix's streamer feature took off and the world went digital. And Blu-Rays became an upmarket for collectors rather than the conventional method of home media delivery.
If you were to recreate it for 9th gen it'd be Mario, Phil Spencer himself wearing a game pass t-shirt and either Stranger Things girl or Squid Game man or whatever the frick is relevant on streaming now.
Or really, Mario and two Call of Duty guys.

Yes since the Playstation still has no games and Nintendo will always rely nearly entirely on Mario (or Zelda)
Halo was never good
>Halo was never good
Bungie Halo was good, both good multiplayer and campaigns
We did it boys, we finally got to the point of console kiddies defending Halo

cod and moh were pc series at the start, and surprise suprise when they moved to console the games turned to shit
>moh were pc series at the start
What did he mean by this?
It’s been like that for a long time now
halo gays never played ut99 or timesplitters to have any point of reference on fps or console fps
Cool contrarian opinion
>contrarian
that's been the mainstream opinion for 15 years, halo kiddies are now old enough to be nostalgic of their first videogame
please have a nice day
I wasted 30 euro on the master chief collection because I had never gotten around to trying Halo. It sucks ass and feels worse to play than Half Life 1.

Mental illness, only homosexuals and bots spamming this image cry about Halo.

and yet the filenames are all different
that's because the picture is older than you are
And Halo is older than you, Black personhomosexual.
Go change your diaper already and stop embarrassing yourself
Stay assblasted, kiddo. Halo is old enough to drink and you're still not old enough to post here.
Uh uh, unlike you, my birth year starts with 1. Now continue your cope
2031
>my birth year starts with 1
>uses cope
you almost pulled it off, but the mask slipped
Halo was never good? wtf? Are you gay? A woman?

Yes, it should have ended with 3/Reach. The 343 Halos make no sense from a story point of view and the gameplay feels off

Not sure if Master Chief would be there after the last decade or so of Halo.
The fat abbos from Starfield would replace the chief, and Senator Abbigail for Talladega man
who is the guy on the right?
Will Ferrell of Talladega Nights, the best PS3 game
The main character of the PS3's only launch title
Will Ferrell games mog Gaylo And Big Maring
Ricky bobby being the ps3 mascot will never not make me laugh.
why is Ricky Bobby for PS3 specifically?
Like I get the no games / glorified blu-ray player joke, but did the PS3 have a Talladega Nights bundle or something?
Yes, that movie got bundled with the PS3 on launch
It was included with at least the first half mil of ps3.
Yes, the ps3 had literally zero games at launch, if you bought one you couldn't do anything with it but watch the movie it came with.

why Ricky Bobby though?
I would say Vin Diesel before anyone else. every fricking millennial dude got TFatF as their first DVD for the PS2.
there's 36 posts in this thread you really couldn't bother reading it before posting?
