All poopemon game ares easy baby
spamming A with your starter actually makes the fight incredibly easy because by then your starter should be lv26-31 and you can just 2HKO both her Pokemon. The people who think she’s hard are the mouthbreathers who think training a balanced team of 6 the entire game is a good idea and they have a party of lv14-18 shitmons that all easily get swept.
no game is hard when you grind and overlevel lmao. even if you only used your starter, it's going to be underleveled if you only did the required battles. tch-chan obviously grinded offscreen because bayleef should only be level 21-22 after whitney and she outed herself in the charmander one
Lol, another example of someone trying to discuss difficulty and not understanding what grinding is. By all means, battle every trainer and wild you see.

Unless you worked in an import shop or were a military brat it was not very likely you were playing a Japanese version of Gold/Silver in 1999 outside of Japan. But the ROMs was very common, it's a bit like how Japanese Gen II cards (real or stickers) were circulating well before they were released outside Japan.
