it's okay but arguably appeals to nobody
if you liked the last few games, this is simpler and the arena mode equivalent is shitty and dull
if you don't like kirby, this is still basically kirby
i didn't like it too much, the level design felt way too much like mario 3d world, and i didn't like the way the game handled collectibles or most of the bosses, but it's one of the better games on the switch that's not a port from some other console.
It's very cool and cute, but other anons are basically right that it's a pretty light challenge. But anyone who had actually played a Kirby game before knows the challenge is in doing things perfectly and finding all of the collectibles. Which in all fairness isn't necessarily my cup of tea. It has a pretty sizable and challenging post-game thing with a sad space lion. My three year old has easily put 30 hours into just walking around Waddle Dee town and making Kirby take a nap.
It didn't because it's fake 3d. Do you like invisible walls in gaming? If you do you'll love this game because Kirby has invisible walls blocking all his flight paths and flight hight. Leaving flying pointless quite literally.
For example, you can't fly over a set of stairs, you have to walk up them or fly over each step individually
This is still. 2D game in every sense of the word. The invisible walls actually kill the enjoyment of you're expecting any type of freedom with the movement and reversal.
How? The spelling and grammar mistakes are because my damn keyboard
this guy is a liar dont listen to him
I'm not lying at all. Go try and fly up a set of stairs. Kirby won't be able to. Unless they updated it and took out all the invisible walls. I just know on release it had a shit ton
Fun game, and fun to find all the Waddle Dees and secrets in every level. Pretty damn easy even on the highest difficulty you can select at the start though, the only time I died was when I thought I would have to replay a level for a collectible, only to realize after purposely dying there was one of those stars that reset just that section. Even the final Arena wasn't as exciting as I hoped. Collecting the little trophies was nice at least. Otherwise, it's extremely simplistic, but I find most of the levels to be enjoyable and there's enough variety to at least make you want to finish it. 100%ing can take 15-25 hours depending on how fast you breeze through levels and feels long enough to be enjoyable, short enough to not get dull.
It's a great game, pretty much all it's flaws are stuff either tied to the kind of franchise Kirby is or changes needed for a 3d framework vs a 2d one.
I'm not a huge kirby fan, it was okay, but kinda bland. Biggest problem is the difficulty, it's almost non existant.
kirby games save their hard bits for the post-game content
I'm a very huge kirby fan, it was great. Biggest problem is the anon above me, it's almost gay.
it's fun if you have the mental capacity of a diaper shitting 2 year old

Yes, solid 10/10 and the best Kirby game since Kirby’s Adventure on the NES.
kirby's adventure was the shit
nightmare in dreamland was a good remake
Better than Elden Ring

this but unironically
It's fantastic, though it was my first Kirby so take my opinion with a grain of salt
it's the best kirby game ever. the only one that ever held my attention.

Best non Wii-U port on the Switch, but that's really not saying a whole lot.
Kirby and the Forgotten Game
Anon wasting his life on the Imageboard

I think it's a very good, fun game.

it's bretty good 8/10
Game from a popular franchise on a Nintendo console so I must hate it.
Yeah it's good. Very nice translation to 3D.

Probably the best 3D Kirb
I think so, it's cute and has a lot of fun moments. The endgame ramps up the difficulty a bit which is nice.
