I had fun figuring out how to connect to my friend since I can't read moonrune. I heard the translation was awful but since I played in JP I wouldn't know. I thought the game was fun since I liked playing the mage and spamming spells while just standing next to Lola.
I saw this in my 3ds activity log a couple days ago and thought about it
i only played it for like 10 minutes, a few years ago
didn't like it much, though I don't even remember what it was at this point, let alone what I didnt like about it. I just saw the pretty princess posted on Ganker and decided to give it a try. Which is about to happen again
I liked 3ds game better played it on jap release. I bought switch version from limited run physically and too bad it has butchered translation by the cancer 8-4. I also liked ost on 3ds better.
It's like an 8-bit musou game with some tower protection. I enjoyed it in both single and multiplayer. Playing online doesn't have any lag, but other players might desync a bit. The game runs at 60fps all the time.
I don't know if the JP and international versions can play with each other though.
Switch one doesn’t really capture the fun of the 3DS one and I kinda dropped it early on. Also the carts are way too fricking obscure to get, its pretty insanely dumb.
I'm playing through the 3ds original, holy frick what an awful translation.
Was it that bad?
The Switch one's dogshit too, thanks 8-4.
Nape of the neck bones...
You mean a collarbone?

Its only good if you have friends which I do not have
Sure
Why was the first one (3DS) so much better than the Switch one?
You aren't babysitting a cart
I also hated moving the b***h. Defending castle/princess is much better than moving her.

It was okay. Never felt like finishing it.
Yeah it was kind of repetitive and boring.

Anciento
I've been dying to get someone online to play and Ganker doesn't seem to care post switch friend codes so I can play with you guys
Is it good? Everyone b***hes about the translation and not so much the gameplay.
I bought day 1 in JP so idk besides gameplay is more important

Just make a room and post about it.
alright made one
one player should we wait for more?
that was fun thanks anon
Same. good luck with finding all the secrets.
It's too complex.
Why exactly is the translation awful?
Localizers adding their own shit into the writing
Didn't a lot of old 8-bit games have shit translations? I feel like they did this intentionally
They absolutely did it intentionally because they thought it'd be funny. Ended up sucking though.
dicky

Most of the secrets aren't that hard to figure out. It's usually something like do a certain action 5 or 10 times or put Lola on a special tile.
