Does anyone have the image of all the armored core games from back in December that included play order, whether you should skip or not, difficulty, unique mechanics, game quality, etc.
People who say that are morons. here's the ranking
S: ACSL, ACLR
A: AC1, ACMoA, AC3
B: AC2, ACFA, ACVD, AC Nexus(Disc 2)
C: ACAA, ACPP
D: AC Nexus(Disc 1), AC4
F: ACV, ACNB
ACFF not ranked, I never played it.
I would put AC6 in A rank or maybe a strong B+
I wanted to put it in A and it's my favourite game with my favourite arena mode and favourite story however it's also the first one I played and I recognize its flaws.
Use Duckstation to play AC1, Master of Arena and Project Phantasm.
Use PCSX2 to play AC2, Another Age, AC3, Silent Line, Nexus and Last Raven.
Use RPCS3 to play 4 and For Answer. You can skip 5 and Verdict Day as those are mainly multiplayer titles.
You can play the games in release order but if you are just going to play a few of them then play Armored Core 3 and onwards. Armored Core 3 starts as a completely new timeline which serves as an improved version of AC1.
ACV has a really crappy campaign honestly. I don't agree with that anon though, VD is still fun for single player.
Use Xenia to emulate it the build is new_xma_decoder@9f72a7c08 on Apr 9 2023
Watched the Dunkey review and it brings up some valid criticisms but also completely ignores all the merits of the game because he's one of those people who isn't in the target audience/potential target audience and just blew through the whole game with a broken build and never thought to try anything else. He doesn't even mention the story, his whole review boils down to "haha cool mechs shame about the weapon balance though it's not like elden ring though 7/10"
Iron Pinapple's review was way better even coming from a soulsgay newcomer, something he freely admits. He actually got what AC was about instead of just bandwagoning.
What's dunkey problem against AC anyway?
It's significantly more personalized game than Elden Ring.
I think what he said about the key to every encounter being the exact same and being too easy once you figure out how to play is really at the core of what drags the game down. The heals and refills make all the basic enemies a non-threat on you way into the final boss whereas even in older AC games if you whiffed your ammo and took to much damage, the surprise boss at the end of the level would obliterate you and you had to start over. Here the surprise is also ruined because when you see the supply thingy you know what you're in for.
>I think what he said about the key to every encounter being the exact same and being too easy once you figure out how to play is really at the core of what drags the game down.
How is that even true tho?
Every bosses are different, you can use different build, different tactics and such.
I guess the fact you don't need to memorize muh pattern is making a lot of Souls players seethe.
The difference is you're a homosexual. I emasculated hundreds of queers just like you with a STAMINAMAXX greatshield and lance build. Hit me with your noob slap and it doesn't break my guard and I'm still coming for you and you piss your pants, quit out
He's kind of right as far as non-boss encounters go. MTs could have had more variety and could stand to be a little tougher. The PCA MTs are a step above at least and LCs definitely change things up. I just wanted more threatening encounters like that so I could feel more like an ace when I give them the slip instead of feeling like I'm seal clubbing.
Missions need to be longer.
I think From Soft can legit fix this by making the boss fight its own mission, and just have regular missions + super MT + ACs.
Definitely think the LC should be the standard enemies by chapter 2.
They all have the same weakness as the helicopter. Get in close, keep to its side/back/above and start blasting it while hugging it. You don't have to win this way but assault boosting in and running through your cycle of high stagger weapons until their health bar reaches zero.
It still ends up being harder. I think the random weirdo enemies in souls games are better than the bosses anyway. There's just more variety

That's definitely what I agree.
From needs to buff the MT and/or make LC the standard enemies.

They've already figured out how the regulation.bin is setup, it won't be that much longer until the tools catch up and we get mods that do boost them up. I don't know if placement changes are possible, but skies the limit looking at Elden Ring mods.

First one I intend to make is to add 2000 AP to all parts, and just remove repair kits. I'm worried it'll break VS AC fights though. Their dialog seems to be connected to how many repair kits they have. Might also see if you can remove the damage bonus from staggering and make it faster to recover? Stagger being more of a momentary stop rather than 'do big dick damage now'.
>What's dunkey problem against AC anyway?
He doesn't realize it's meant to be a power fantasy so he complained that basic enemies are cannon fodder. He also doesn't understand wanting to use other builds so he complained that double gatling wheelchairman was the only build he used the whole game.
Basically, his complaints were stupid and showed a lack of understanding and that he failed to seperate the game from Fromsoft's other works.
>moron gives a moronic review
What did you expect?
It was overtly hypocritical and the fact that he thinks Elden Ring didn't have it's own version of Double Gatling Guns shows how uninformed he is.
Basically the big critique with the game is that broken builds that can be used to slam dunk nearly every boss exist while weapons like assault rifles are so suboptimal nobody sane would touch them.
AC veterans and people who did their research know part of the fun is not intentionally giving yourself an insane advantage while also building your AC to fight the boss but there's a level of intentional dissonance in that approach, while casual players will go "this boss is kicking my ass this is so hard" followed by "oh I solved the puzzle it's dual zimmermans and songbirds on tank legs for every fight" and then will proceed to blast through the whole game with that like it's Call of Duty.
I'd go as far as to say the weapon balancing in this game is way better than some of the older AC titles but I can still understand why some people see it as a problem or why new time players who accidentally stumble onto the most dominant strategy might come away from the game with an extremely shallow take, which is specifically what happened with Dunkey.
>How is this different from Elden Ring or any Souls game?
Cultural context probably. Again with Dunkey it's pretty clear they aren't invested in AC beyond the fact it's a game From made and so they aren't going to make that mental comparison when they don't lavish AC games with the same respect.
They also wanted MT fights to be more like fighting npcs in soulslikes where each one poses more of a threat than your average fodder MT, something their broken build inherently ruins, but also I do think I see their point with that. MT fights tend to feel laughably easy by majority with only few exceptions like tetrapods ad the start of the game or the absolute pack of unstoppable gang rapists that is RRI unmanned MTs in NG++.

Not giving this league of legends chud a view.
Yeah I think it's just people expecting AC to play like a Souls game when MTs are supposed to be literal trash units designed specifically to frick with your ammo count or occasionally clip you with missles. And as
I mean I 'solved' the arena in PP and MoA with the machine gun arms and the arena in 3 with the Machine gun 1000. The fun in AC has always been finding the build you like, not just solving it with the perfect setup. The more I played the series on a revisit the more I found more enjoyment in trying to make an all around AC that could handle any mission and just getting really good with that particular setup.
said the previous games basically won for free the exact same way.
He simply got filtered and can't comprehend why someone WOULDN'T double gatling snoozefest through it while not giving it the inherent Souls mental bonus.

Uh, not really. Dunkey just called it mediocre shovelware, and he's not really wrong. It's a solid 6-7/10 game but not very remarkable and will be forgotten pretty quickly. Starfield is a 4/10 though.
Dunkey confirmed mega dunk as usual.
I guess he thinks dodgeroll is strategy.

you dumb gays arguing over what youtubers think about a video game is so fricking cringe
>watch his video >he compares it exclusively to elden ring
He's just gone 110% into clickbait at this point, completely incapable of a legitimate opinion
He also said he likes the game though. The problem woth AC6 is that the good weapons and parts are excessively OP and the middling shit feels useless on anything that needs to be staggered to be killed
I don't know, I use two shoulder mount missiles I've literally never seen another person use and I have really good success with them in the story through NG+, I've used basically the same setup since pretty early in NG and I've only slightly changed it.
I don't understand those types of people. All games have intended way of play developers originally designed. Like all boss mechanics etc, the pacing. When you see OP as frick weapon it is obvious you're going to break game. But why keep using it? And calling at "game's fault"? This reads like some sort of excuse "I'm allowed to use this OP weapon, it's morally correct to use this weapon, it's not my fault". I mean are they even enjoy playing this video game? It's strange trying to skip gameplay part of game (your hobby). Unless obviously you're honest and just like to break games without all this fake fluff.
Uh, not really. Dunkey just called it mediocre shovelware, and he's not really wrong. It's a solid 6-7/10 game but not very remarkable and will be forgotten pretty quickly. Starfield is a 4/10 though.
Dunkey also likes Mario games which is basically you jumping on things with upbeat music and visuals, I guess you can deduced what kind of games he likes
He says he liked it anyway. His criticism is also right, From could have delivered a better game than this and I hope they try a little harder with AC7 now that they've seen this is still a financially viable franchise
I think what he said about the key to every encounter being the exact same and being too easy once you figure out how to play is really at the core of what drags the game down. >the key to every encounter being the exact same
Not really, Zimmies are horrible for Michigan's horde, you'll run out of ammo before you clear them, Bulbasaur needs a shield breaker, Spider needs the pile bunker, Worm can only be damaged by a special weapon
You know you have back weapon slots? You can keep your zimzams' ammo for non-one hit mooks. >Bulbasaur needs a shield breaker, Spider needs the pile bunker
Not true >Worm can only be damaged by a special weapon
And it was a fun and unique mission that stood out amongst the crowd for it.
>now that they've seen this is still a financially viable franchise
they will see it was just blind hype and the next game will remain low budget and will sell accordingly
>fromsoft get big dollerdoos from dark souls and elden ring >they decided to try something different from their big games and see what people think of armoured core >they put some effort into it, but not make it too big to disrupt their bigger games and see how it goes >lots of people enjoyed it and want more >fromsoft now have an idea how much AC can bring in and next AC or DLC they bring out they can put more effort into it knowing it wont be a waste of money
i think the next AC game or DLC ganna expand a lot on lore and gameplay
Pick wheelchair. Pick double stun needles. On your rigtt arm pick a linear rifle or something else that deals big stagger damage with just a few hits. The left arm could be the drill for fast approach or maybe a big "frick you" bazooka.
Try it.
It got me really invested in aspects of the story and characters but it's frustratingly sparse on fleshing them out satisfactorily, is this the case for previous AC entries? Or is it From doing their usual Zanzibart routine
with its sales, yes, they'll e releasing more AC games, and more mecha games will be promoted by Bamco.
Unfortunate about the Gundam games though, RIP.
i think this would be good for gundam games in the long run, shit has been stagnating tech wise in gameplay and concept for a decade plus, maybe in 3-5 years we could have some well thought out games.
I honestly like Rusty more, but his final form will never be as cool as ARETHA. It's also not fair we didn't get this music. I hope they let Hoshino out to play for the DLC/sequel, the OST was such a let down
Right hand - Haldeman Shotgun
Left hand - TAI-YANG-SHOU Explosive thrower
Right Shoulder - Earshot Grenade cannon
Left shoulder - SU-Q5 Pulse shield
Head - Melander
Body - Melander
Arms - Melander
Legs - Verill
Generator - One of the internal combustion ones
>first playthrough do a lightweight build with dual miniguns and a back mounted melee weapon >fast paced newtype gameplay where I have to be right on the bosses ass and have little burst damage >come to Ganker and learn miniguns are OP and I didn't beat the game >NG+ do the exact opposite, the heaviest tank possible with massive laser canons >blast ayre from the sky before she even finishes all of her dialogue >immediately mission replay back to my old build to actually have fun against her
What do I do for NG++ bros?
I just didn't jive with the tone, man
I didn't get far enough into the mechanics to know if I appreciate them or not because I bounced off the general style hard.
>Same publisher as EDF
Are any of the same devs on it? I tried googling the question but only more trailers came up. Who is the dev team? On steam it says the same as the publisher.
I could frick with this though, but it doesn't have the tone that Chrome Hounds did. I just want Chrome Hounds II where you can customize everything except your chest, I hated the stupid "Just put your core in some stupid spot and completely fricking cover yourself in as many armor plates as allowed so that it's a complete gamble whether they kill you immediately or not".
I liked it better just before, when most fights were fought differently because there was no meta. I know that this shit forms fast and with the internet being even more popular than it was when Chrome Hounds was running it would form instantly but god damn it, I want to recapture that time before anybody knew what was the most effective thing, and you saw tons of unique mecha designs running around doing things you wouldn't expect them to, most of which was basically having way too many weapons and being very slow but damn it.
Call me a boomer, I miss when online games would have people show up completely unaware of what the other person is going to do, but fricking even Dark Souls and Elden Ring had PVP metas where no matter what level I was at I knew the two or three builds I would run into and sure enough, 99% of the time those were what I ran into. I WANT VARIETY. MAKE YOUR OWN SHIT.
>I want variety
Yes the meta obsession is incredible. People used to join lobbies to frick around and have fun. Topping the board with something unconventional was the best part. Nowadays if you haven’t looked up a guide or video walk through to beat a game in a day you aren’t sweaty enough. If these pussy people had an instant win button they’d push it every-time.
Same here, but with the Reverse joints. I was wanting one that had light weight and decent carry weight. There should have been at least one more leg type for the non-bipeds.
Having a hard time dealing with AP and weight. Quads are heavy as frick, so most boosters lose their effectiveness. This leads to slow QB reload and low boost speed in the 250s area.
It's not the generator, it's the booster + generator. You can switch shoulders to dual SOUPs if you want more firepower, but it'll require more energy management.
>He hasn't met my reverse leg build made purely for flexability >He hasn't seen me jump from the ground and then boost melee for 30% of their HP and stagger then finish them with swarm missiles
I don't care about your flying bullshit, as long as our ping is fine reverse legs being able to gain altitude fast lets you counter them and still works against tank homosexuals.
>Checkpoints >Resupplies >Repair kits >Artifically low HP because you can heal, no reason to not have 12000 extra HP except as a gotcha during ACS stunlocks >ACs turn instantly >No extensions >No inside parts >No optional parts >No weapon arms >No sniper rifles >No ECM >No AMS options >No part tuning >Poor part selection in general with several niches missing >Pulse guns only good for shield breaking >NG+ only missions and parts >No branching paths in missions, only one choice matters >Dark souls bosses >Stance breaking >Bosses only take signifcant damage if you stance break meaning any weapon with low impact is worthless >Hard lockon >Streamers hate it >People are dropping it in droves >90k players average and dropping rapidly >Already forgotten
Not even slightly.
I just finished a mission where every single time I thought I was done, another wave or form would show up, and it was a battle to fight the next form, then when that was done and I was on 42AP and out of ammo in one of my main guns another fricking wave/form. It was awesome.
go dual linear rifles, a single charge shot stuns the rolly boys instantly and you can proceed to frick them up with anything you have. I used the heavier version of the linear rifle, it's insanely good
>started replaying older titles after it was first announced >play many of the ones I never got to play >relive memories with the ones I did >get hyped, maybe unreasonable >the game releases and I can't stop playingi >going to finish NG++ and then probably play AC4 and For Answer since I finally got copies again >waiting for new Armored Core kits to be releases or re-released
I know I won. I hope a lot of others did too. It's not a perfect game but no AC game ever has been, and I love the series.
I'm glad we had the same magical experience. This was also the year 5th gen became reliably emulatable
I wish I had friends to talk about it instead of just going to /m/ though.
I really should check out /m/; I haven't really lurked there in almost a decade. You can get good discussion here on some occasions but it doesn't last long. don't really have any friends who are into AC, though I've gotten some to play AC6 and they're liking it a lot.
I really hope AC6 gets a massive DLC treatment or update, either with just a big DLC like Elden is seemingly getting or another Silent Line, Last Raven, For Answer scenario because I'd gladly pay for either.
DID WE all get turned into coral tang? Is it like the end of evangelion where everyone is now interconnected? The frick happened? I feel brainlet. I know dolmayan was scared shitless of a coral release, but allmind was convinced that the Rubiconian "symbiosis" was just subjugation of the coral
Dunkey's review fricking sucked. His complaints are all valid if a little ill-informed and small brain.....The issue is he keeps talking about Elden Ring and Dark Souls. He'll say something true about the game that he's justified to feel but because he keeps bringing up Souls and because a lot of his gripes are equally valid for Souls....He comes off like a moron.
What's with all the gay Hollywood garbage commercials for it, though? This is some AAA moronic marketing strategy, why is From wasting money on this shit instead of funneling it towards development (of the sequel)? Is Hollywood so shit right now that actors are desperate enough to do these shit commercials? Did they bite because actors are willing to be paid pennies for it?
Beat the game, with the ending where you beat up your coral mindworm lady. I don't want to be a schizo, thank you very much.
Looking at the achievements, I noticed that for whatever reason the mission where you beat up the Ice Worm has 1% steam achievement unlock rate, while the ending I got was 12.5%. What gives?
You're supposed to let Coral generators run dry so you get all EN back after a full recharge, morono, look at those stats in your garage, it doesn't take much
What this anon said, you're actually rewarded for playing poorly as opposed to watching your energy reserves. This is true for almost all generators not just these.
No, the fact that if you take your energy down to 1% but don't fully expend it actually makes you recover at a FRACTION of the rate you would if you took it t 0%, waited 2s and then suddenly you had 50-75% of your energy bar back.
This also lets you hover infinitely, but if you manage your energy by not dropping below 1% you will not be able to hover infinitely. You actually WANT to just hold jump, wait for energy to instantly be back at 50%, hold jump again. There's no downside to doing it.
If there was skill involved in energy management, you would never want to let it drop to 0% because you'd suffer a huge cooldown penalty.
You're clueless.
The Coral Generator gimmick is exactly that, you need to risk with your downtimes if you want to use them, because their standard regen rates are utter garbage compared to other generations like the Ming-Tang, where you actually want to never fall to 0 because their EN topping % is atrocious.
Conversely, if you want to run something like dual energy guns you'll be much better off with an arquebus generator due to the much better energy weaponry bonuses and their natural recharge rates, since holding a gun to charge a shot cripples EN recharge rates further, making Coral generators suboptimal.
>biggest flaw imo is the stagger system
Yeah that's basically the reason for all the balance issues. The stagger system will always mean that upclose aggression with high impact weapons is king.
What?
The data for steam achivements has always been delayed. There's more people who have achivements from NG++ than apparently have that achivement, which obviously isn't possible.
Nah, if they buff all the other weapon's damage and make the dichotomy something like >Bigger Damage Weaker Stagger
or >Big Stagger, Weaker Damage.
The fact that Gatlings and Songbirds do both is frustrating because there aren't terribly good options for playing keep away and using something with better reach. They WILL get on your ass and you WILL get staggered. Linear Rifles and shit should do GOOD damage in exchange for not doing the big staggers.
You also have to consider the direct hit adjustment
The fix is really very simple. Just put everything on a triangle with >Stagger >Direct Hit >Raw Damage
at each corner. Viola.
None of what you're saying makes sense when they've built the whole game around staggering being your opening for max damage. This is why the balance is complete shit. It doesn't matter what they change, you'll always want weapons with high impact in your loadout. They would have to completely change how stagger works which would mean they would have to completely redesign how a core system works which absolutely isn't happening.
>when they've built the whole game around staggering being your opening for max damage
Yes it does. They can make it so careful long range strats are rewarded. I should be able to hit you with two charged railgun hits that hurt lots and stagger you and land a third one for the kill. You can increase damage and all that and still use staggers anon.
>long range strats rewarded
Too bad they don’t exist in this Armored Core lmao.

Can you fricking read or are you too busy jerking yourself off to the idea of instantly arguing against the next reply. He said doesn't exist in THIS AC and he's right, it doesn't.
Avoiding damage from long range weapons is insanely simple in this game. There's literally no fricking way you're stopping someone from getting in close. There's also the fact that long range in this game is still very close compared to other games in the series and then you have the zoom boost mechanic. The whole reason for the chopper fight in the tutorial is to tell you, "Use the boost to gain ground on enemies". You don't do full damage until you stagger so making weapons do even more damage is only going to make stagger even stronger.

charged pile bunker one shots the first two down phases and is pretty close to one shotting the 3rd. Might be able to with the best melee damage arms.
It doesn't really matter due to how the fight works
Nah, they all fail early on most times other than chatty. Might be viable to save chatty tho. I've done very good fights where I hit it as fast as possible within reason on the first two hits. Always the same result.
I have a ton of achievements that show up in the log as 0.1% but it's just because I got far into a game I was excited for the release of very quickly.
Nowadays I take my time, I'm only finishing up NG+, some people finished NG+++ day 1. I don't feel like keeping up with that shit anymore.
So what exactl was the fires of Ibis? What is Ibis? Was coral present in Ibis too? And did the fire not only consume the star systems, but other star systemas as well? Was its range that massive?
Afaik they stated that the Fires of Ibis consumed the star system Rubicon was in. Just a frick-huge big energy explosion, but I might be missing some details.
Ibis is the name for the coral weapon series designed by Walter's dad
The scientists detected a mutation in the coral that was set to occur within 48 hours and decided to ignite it all to prevent it
>That MIGHT not be R3 in the pic but that's not relevant.
I'm just curious, trying to understand where exactly the fires started. If they started in Rubicon then that planet can't be it.
Anon, pre-fires Rubicon system was a farflung super tech utopia. They could have been on R3, told a space machine to do a space machine thing and then BAM whole star system gets fricked.
Look at the picture again. The fire is pouring out from the tower. That's Rubicon 3.

Most people are thrown off because the PCA lockdown satellites and rings aren't there yet. In Walter's ending you see the fire pouring out of the tower in a similar fashion but from everywhere instead of shooting out through the top.
The crazy part is that when you look at the world design Rubicon was probably entirely enclosed in Coral Harvesting platforms in the past before the Ibis Fire blew everything up, opening up the surface again.

So that planet being burned isn't Rubicon 3?
If we're supposed to believe that that planet is Rubicon shouldn't the fire surrounding (and emanating from it) it be even bigger than that's coming towards it considering that's where the coral reservoirs actually were?

Yes but he thinks he has it all figured out based on -literally- nothing.
>They started on R3 because somebody took a pic on R3 and said "it's the fires"
Is about as good as his theory gets other than a screengrab from a cutscene where he purposefully ignored how it moved in the game and just points at a swirl and says "see?!"

Shit, you're right. The image makes it look like the fires are coming from the center of the star system (or close to it).
>The Fires of Ibis was when the Institute triggered the Ibis mechs
HIGHLY debatable. Ibis doesn't have to ONLY be those mechs. They had a whole code name and series number and shit. There's probably gigantic space Ibis too or a big satellite with the name or something.
[...]
Just the remaining pittance of coral in the Vascular plant was enough to spread over the solar system still, there's no reason to believe that the original amount of coral which was much higher wouldn't have spread just as far. The idea that the fires didn't originate on Rubicon is moronic given that we find fricking datalogs in the buried city indicating that Nagai was witnessing them from there along with a photo of the fire starting
>The idea that the fires didn't originate on Rubicon is moronic given that we find fricking datalogs in the buried city indicating that Nagai was witnessing them from there along with a photo of the fire starting
We don't have a photo of them starting and of course she can witness them on a planet that was devastated by them.

Oh so you think they ONLY colonized Rubicon 3 without any proof either even though they say and show the fires being a system wide event? I have video proof of the fires originating outside the planet and washing over it. You have headcanon.

>Oh so you think they ONLY colonized Rubicon 3 without any proof either
If coral was some shit that existed elsewhere then we'd have logs that indicated it, everything indicates it was localized to Rubicon.
Additionally we have the Nagai logs that state that space's vacuum would be an ideal grounds for mutation and then the first recorded instance of coral mutation we have results in them nuking the coral within 48 hours. If Coral was already in the vacuum of space at that point they would've nuked it sooner.
Anon, Walter's is also part of the IBIS series. Go be moronic elsewhere.
Walter's Ibis series is literally stated to be the only one that's manned.

Never said it exists naturally elsewhere. You must be some special kind of stupid if you think they can't put some coral in a box and fly that box to another planet. Holy. Frick.
They showed us it was a super material that was gonna/did revolutionize technology for humans. Why not use some of that shit on other planets? No reason not to.

>You must be some special kind of stupid if you think they can't put some coral in a box and fly that box to another planet.
And if that were to have happened the coral would have reproduced there, because that's what coral does. Do you not see the problem here?
Unless your argument is going to be that somehow all of the coral that was ignited was coincidentally in range of the fire's origin and that coral didn't exist anywhere out of range of the fire then your argument is ridiculous

>And if that were to have happened the coral would have reproduced there
Nah, the fires wiped it all out. It only remains on R3. There was coral all throughout the rubicon system the fire set most of it on fire and only a few embers remained. Very simple. You're just grasping.

>Nah, the fires wiped it all out.
So your argument really is that Coral just was only magically used in range of the fire, totally backpedaling on your initial point of "Why not use that shit on other planets". lol

Anonymous
>So your argument really is that Coral just was only magically used in range of the fir
It was discovered in the Rubicon system [R3 specifically] and was used there. Humanity is colonizing the stars in this game. > Coral just was only magically used in range of the fire
Yes anon, all the coral in the Rubicon System was within range of an event that "tore through the stars". Even if we take the plural stars to be figurative, that still adds up to what we've seen in terms of a system wide event with our footage of a blast that made a planet look small.
' >totally backpedaling on your initial point of "Why not use that shit on other planets". lol
You can't even keep track of basic logic holy frick.
Anon, that doesn't mean Rubicon is the source. It doesn't say that ANYWHERE. It's just where those scientists were. It's the Fires of IBIS. Ibis is a Rubiconian anti-coral system. They could have just had a space ship somewhere in the system and told it to do a "Fires of Ibis" thing to try and stop the coral. Literally he's just saying the compressed Coral is mutating and that's bad. They then activate the Ibis system and somehow it causes a Solar level event that burned all the coral other than some of what's on R3.
>Briefing by Carla and Walter ending should be a clue.
You're talking after finishing the game with the "bad" ending? I don't remember Carla talking there, only Walter.
I don't remember exactly, but one of the briefings shows a pic of Rubicon being burned along with the plan to do it again Because you did it it's called Fires of Raven
The Ibis series C-Weapons are autonomous mechs designed by the Rubicon Research Institute to control the Coral and prevent Coral reactions. The Fires of Ibis was when the Institute triggered the Ibis mechs to burn literally all of the Coral to prevent it from propagating in space, because Coral grows faster the denser it is and they theorized that it would grow fastest in a vacuum. So, humanity intentionally burned all the Coral to prevent it from reaching space or growing any further, and it was such a volatile explosion that it scorched the entire solar system, possibly others. Some humans and some Coral still survived the Fires, though.
>The Fires of Ibis was when the Institute triggered the Ibis mechs
HIGHLY debatable. Ibis doesn't have to ONLY be those mechs. They had a whole code name and series number and shit. There's probably gigantic space Ibis too or a big satellite with the name or something.
It's not a cope. We literally see the fires hitting R3 from afar. It's also the least believable scenario that the planet that was the source and therefore hit hardest would be the only one where coral remained.
You are operating absolute MAXIMUM headcanon by saying that log proves the fires IGNITED on R3.
>The fire is pouring out from the tower
Shit, you're right. The image makes it look like the fires are coming from the center of the star system (or close to it).
You are moronic. You make frickin' vaati look like a lore scholar.
Ayre is your coral wife.
Just like Father Dormammu had his own coral wife.
Iguazu was too much of a b***h and his coral wife kept telling him how much better Raven is so he tuned her out, but then thought it was Ayre cause he's moronic and hates you.
Think bamco will see this game’s success and throw the Gundam IP at fromsoft again? I seriously want a good Gundam game (that isn’t fricking region locked or arcade only).
After Balteus, every encounter he has with you he winds up complaining regularly about his ears "ringing" and how it's driving him insane. Coral has a natural inclination to communicate with itself and gather into one location. He has some kind of Coral entity in his head as well, but it's clearly not something like Ayre that's providing 621 with a wellspring of useful information.
If we had tossed him into a coral reaction then he would have been able to hear his schizo headfriend as well. He has Contact potential but he just hasn't been exposed to the proper stimuli yet.
The only bosses I didn't beat on first try were Balteus, the finn-funneling ibis weapon at the coral lake and final boss. And then there was that one random miniboss HC(?) inside the wall in one of the chapter 3 missions.
Just beat NG++, holy shit what a good game.
I hope they continue the franchise at a pace faster than 10 year gaps. I only played 4Answer and ACV before this, but AC6 was beyond kino.
They probably will now that it's not an unknown quantity. AC6 was pretty popular, so fingers crossed.
I'd like it if Fromsoft went back to their circa 2004 breakneck development pace. Lost Kingdoms 3, Armoured Core 7, King's Field Reloaded. All of it.
This but the opposite, I love this game and have zero regrets. I hope when it goes on sale in a year more people will find out how good it is, or perhaps the people that realize they've made a terrible decision with starfield will give it a try so they can have an actual decent game to play. Best of luck to you anon.
>AC in the escort mission down to a sliver of health >he boosts right into the line of helicopter so my spread bazooka tracks him and blows them both up
how did your helicopter get that low in the first place? The mission is only on NG+ you should be annihilating everything before they get close until the very end, and then just kill the MTs as they drop and go back to killing the boss. He's just a regular AC so he should die pretty quick.
Which plot-irrelevant character do you guys think deserved to die the least? My vote is for Rummy.
Ziyi. All her friends die in the battle so she decides to go back to the battlefield alone afterwards and die herself I guess?
What the frick is his problem?
2 lines before it he was talking about how you make his heart race in anticipation, and right before it he mention how he's anxious to meet you. He's talking about his heart beat. But he's still a nutjob.
>Letting the copter get to low AP in the first place
Protip: you can just go around and sweep everything in the map as the copter does its thing, if you're not getting to the last checkpoint at full copter AP it's your problem, Nile's a chump too.
Never played VD but I heard VD was so fricked with "trio damage types" mechanic, From spent few patches fixing entire mechanic. So if it was true I guess we're safe
Yeah I had fun with it. Here's hoping the other games in the generation make it harder. Also still prefer the older lock-on but I don't think this one is a disaster or anything.
You get Waltuh's ACs for completing Ayre's route, the weapons are separate unlocks, some are NG++ stuff, others are log hunts.
Ayre's mech is an IBIS series, not an AC, you can't get those parts.
Yeah, I have all that shit. Maxxed my loghunt and everything, but when I go to load the data it says I cant. I'm talking about loading the Arena AC datas from the AC Data page.
Walter's AC is literally the only IBIS series machine that is an actual AC and is manned, double moron.
The rest are autonomous machines that don't even have a wienerpit.
Anon was obviously asking about the AC Ayre uses in the NG++ simulation and during the NG++ ending, which has AC data and is buildable.
Yeah, I have all that shit. Maxxed my loghunt and everything, but when I go to load the data it says I cant. I'm talking about loading the Arena AC datas from the AC Data page.
All the AC data from the arena is buildable for me. If you've finished NG++ and the loghunt I guess you might still be missing some of the chests then, some of the institute stuff is found in NG++ missions.
I'm not interested in the game, but I'm curious about the lore. Why are there no trees in the trailers and gameplay? Does it have something to do with the weird gaseous effects sweeping over the planet in the promotional material? Also, is there a lore reason why every metal structure or vehicle is so frickhuge?
I wanna say I think BG3 is still my goty, but frick it each day at work I just wanna get back home and play some more armored core, quite insatiably. Also mechas are cool as frick, maybe I should finally get around to watching some gundam
>maybe I should finally get around to watching some gundam
careful what you watch first
because it's like a virgin girl getting her hymen broken
you pairbond with the first gundam you watch
Eh, I started with Victory Gundam, and roughly went: 0079, Zeta, got lazy and skipped over ZZ, stardust memories, 08th MS team, F91, Char's Counter attack, G gundam, IBO at some point since it was airing at the time, and war in the pocket randomly somewhere in the middle.
>I should finally get around to watching some gundam
You don't need to watch in any order.
If you're into cross-dressing, Turn A Gundam.
If you're into shota, Victory Gundam.
If you're into war is hell, 0080 War in the Pocket.
If you're into sex, war, prosthetics and jazz music, Thunderbolt.
If you're into fugoshi bait, SEED and Destiny.
If you're into zombie MC, Gundam Wing.
Japanese comedy? Mobile Suit G Gundam.
So are people in the cores themselves or are they remotely linked to their mech's cores? Otherwise how were people exploding and then showing up later like yeah whats up bro.
alright dual plasma doesn't work right when these frickin Black folk stay in the air and dodge all my shit as soon as i press a button
what should i use to sweep missions? ch3 btw
Shotguns. If you run out of ammo put the other 2 shotguns on your back slots using the upgrade from arena missions or replace one with a melee weapon of choice.
He's just a victim of bad timing and corporate warfare. He could have punched out when we attacked though, instead of trying to fight it out thinking he was hot shit.
>have to fight V3 >he's a quadBlack person and the arena is basically a giant pit >just floats off in the middle blasting away at you
ALLMIND is dumb as frick. No wonder he betrayed it.
Fricking setting up a fight where the enemy has a stupid advantage.
I don't like the boss battles much, I feel like the game would be better if there were only a handful of them, or if the overall design wasn't based around stagger. As it is I don't know if there's gonna be a surprise boss at the end of a mission, so a build that's range based is worthless to make. Realistically bosses should have multiple strategies that can take them down. I went into the cleaner fight blind and won, but fighting it without a melee weapon was just an awful experience. It really shouldn't take nearly all my ammo to shoot the shit out of a boss.
Never said it was hard, but I also don't use nades or zooks. Missiles, a rifle and a shotgun.
The only boss I really struggled with was IBIS. Every other one seemed like they gave enough leeway. They're not perfect, but considering what they have to live up to (AKA run up to Answerer and tap him with a blade until he insta-dies) the bar isn't exactly set high.
>but fighting it without a melee weapon was just an awful experience
uh no, its definitely not, use double plasma rifles. that'll get you very far. you have to fly up and aim down like soldier in tf2 and stagger shots so enemies dodge into the blast. that will get you very far. coupled with those vertical plasma missiles and you'll shred everything from a distance if thats really what you want to do. have fun anon.
Was it a great game? Yes
Was it a great armored core game? Not really
Gen 3 is still god-tier, Gen 4 is still better. Its on par with Gen 2 and much much better than the dogshit that was Gen 5.
When comparing to previous gens:
1. Part selection was dogshit
2. Bosses being centered around the Sekiro Stagger System nullified 70% of the part list.
3. Sekiro Stagger System forced only center builds to be viable
4. The music was absolute trash
5. Once you got the OP parts the entire game is a faceroll, thus nothing is memoriable.
6.5/10
>Inb4 hurrrr filtered.. check the pic and eat shit.
>1. Part selection was dogshit
Gen 3 had worse part selection, most of your parts in Gen 3 up to LR are trash, in AC6 90% of your parts are actually usable. >2. Bosses being centered around the Sekiro Stagger System nullified 70% of the part list.
Severe skill issue >3. Sekiro Stagger System forced only center builds to be viable
See above >4. The music was absolute trash
Better than AC3/SL/NB/FF/LR/V/VD >5. Once you got the OP parts the entire game is a faceroll
Same is true for any AC, AC6 still had tons of really good moments.
VD had a great soundtrack but gameplay sucked ass. VD bombed hard and was the largest contributing factor behind why we had to wait nearly 10 years for another AC game. The game was so poorly recieved even after From had developed a name for themselves that many of the devs were let go and eventually formed again to create DxM (another massive POS). They deviated so far away from what made the AC games awesome for their niche group. They literally needed to either make a better version of 4A or even better LR and they would have been making god-tier AC titles.
i just started playing
i tried buying all the lightwieght frame parts but could only equip a gun and laser sword and the extra dodges and low HP just kinda sucked, ended up swapping back and boss I was on was easy
can I replay missions to farm credits to buy different gear I wanna try?
I wish this was an option. Remove the Sekiro Stagger System and bring back more parts. Including duplicate parts AC6 has a little over 200 parts. Silent line had nearly 450 fricking parts. and Last Raven i think had over 600.
This was their first PC release and 200 was the best they could fricking do? Clearly the game was made by the From B Team.
>Silent line had nearly 450 fricking parts.
And most of them were unusable trash, and pallette swaps clones. >and Last Raven i think had over 600.
No, and LR was the SIXTH game in a long series of asset flips, not to mention that again, most of the parts were unusable trash, so comparing the sixth entry of a generation with the first entry of another is disingenuous at best.
Look at AC3's part list and you'll see how the number is more or less the same as AC6, 230-ish parts, except that unlike AC6 most of those are, once again, unusable trash and largely iterations of a single category.
There's more variety in the melee weapons of AC6 alone than the entire Gen 3 part list.
More parts means more build variety and more build challenges.
I still play LR/Nexus/SL and 4A tournys and the build variety is astounding.
>There's more variety in the melee weapons of AC6
Well gee a game the can taken advantage of more powerful hardware and a heavy focus on melee combat has better melee variety. And oh yeah... thats exactly what AC vets wanted in their Armored core game....melee and stagger centric combat.... in a mech game that historically focused on guns.... yeaaaaaah.
>More parts means more build variety and more build challenges.
Not when most of your parts are useless junk and a straight iterative ladder, but sure tell me all about those great flamethrower builds in Last Raven, or how amazing things like the Python or the Phantom are, or how you totally have reasons to use any pulse gun other than the ROC4. >Well gee a game the can taken advantage of more powerful hardware
Hardware has nothing to do with anything, melee was shit in previous gens because FROM was too incompetent and lazy, but hey keep LARPing as le ebin AC oldhead, we all know where that got you in the end.
Do you think Coral is man made? Maybe a portal was opened? Maybe it's just people? How much do you think people like Biden or Xi would pay me to burninate it for them?
I hope this game gets an Iceborne like Monster Hunter World did.
Or better yet a Sunbreak where they completely removed the most unpopular aspect from the original.
I hope they remove stagger and add old school maze like interior stages
honestly the Karasawa in this game sucks because of it's atrocious cooldown
Nebula is better
but I still use the Karasawa since it's the build I use in every single AC I've played and just make it work
I just beat Balteus after 2 days/15 hours and over 100+ tries. I hate this fricking game now, and I was having fun before this happened. I can almost guarantee I'll never finish it because I hear it only gets much harder. They over-tuned this one to the point of it not being fun.
Now start chapter 2 and buy two zimmerman shotguns and two songbird shoulder cannons to faceroll through the rest of the game. Remember to replace the songbirds with the needle cannon when it becomes available.
Songbirds, miniguns, arm grenades, zimmermans are all good choices to demolish things. Anything with high impact destroys most things. But seriously if you get stuck just see what other people did. You can always sell shit back for full price. I'll save wacky and unique builds for later and protect my sanity
If you get stuck just cheese the boss, it's not worth the headache. Seriously save your masochism until after you beat it. Use your brain and make a build that counters them, or look up what other people did. It's not worth frustrsting yourself over
Not him but that's what I did. I lost to him a little less than 10 times with my previous build, went dual pulse guns and beat him on the first or second try.
The bubble guns? Yeah that's how I finally got him along with two 10pack missile launchers. I kept getting him down to 15% health and running out of bubble gun ammo.
I used bubble guns, starting sword and some missiles
Without the sword it would have taken longer
The next boss will be hard. I used 4 grenade launchers and quad legs
This must be NG+ or dependent on choices because I only faced him once. But yeah you get better shit. I started NG+ and demolished Balteus on my first try
He becomes a pushover when you get better at the game. There are only 2 fights in the game that have forced me to drop my build and swap to tank cheese and that's Ayre and Carla.
Most of them are pretty shit
Just tedious unless you cheese them
Typical jap game with moronic hitboxes
Some of the bosses were a lot of fun, others needed more playtesting
The AC fights were all great
It made a million zoomer children go out and play a Mecha game because one of their favorite developers produced it. I'd say its pretty fricking based as hell alone for doing that.
It was the top selling game on steam for a day or so and that's only on pc. There's tons of streamers and YTers playing it too, a million copies isn't that much of a stretch
silly anon
we'll get an expansion the same way we got AC6
based on the soulslop sales
you see fromsoft has figured it out
make goyslop to make shekkels
then use shekkels to make based mecha game

Dogshit numbers considering the popularity of From software at this point. Game should have been putting down Elden ring numbers.
>Game should have been putting down Elden ring numbers
LOL not even the israelites at Namco believed this was happening.
https://www.gamesindustry.biz/bandai-namco-elden-ring-success-will-truly-widen-armored-core-6s-audience
It's going to sell Sekiro numbers
Somebody who has a basically racist perception of Japs as mindless consoomer drones who just BUY MECHA ME RIKEY MECHA. Japanese mostly play utter slop. The average xbro plays better games than the average jap.
>Game should have been putting down Elden ring numbers.
Pfft maybe after a few more successed they will make an ER level AC but it's not that. ER had 83 bosses. You can beat AC in a timeframe where most people haven't collected the first seal in ER
>Game should have been putting down Elden ring numbers.
Are you fricking moronic? It's armored core you stupid Black person. It peaked at 150k players on steam. It did phenomenally considering what a niche IP it is.
Keep coping homosexual. No one wants to play fromslop games anymore. People released those hacks have been rehashing their previous games. They lost their sovl when they made dark souls 1. You also lost to starkino
Please tell me some good laser weapons. I keep trying to make a laser build work and they seem to be so weak and never have any impact. Depression. On NG++ so maybe some good ones finally show up?
alright i really need something for missions that aren't frickin george zimmermans and songbird. ill use plasma missiles and i like having a shoulder sword as back up
i want to kill ac units for combat logs and need something thats very robust and flavorful
I am. Boy i love having all my energy sapped because i feel like running 4 beam weapons. Oh, kinetic doesnt have that problem and still does a ton of damage and I can use any generator I want? Cool.
>Generators have a stat to make energy weapons charge faster.
frick im moronic. thanks.
i might be a laser gay in the future because bright lights and im a homosexual.
im tryin to ween off plasma but the first rifle you get has been so good to me, same with the shoulder missiles
thought nebula would be a good trade off because of the slow rate of fire but they didn't compensate by giving nebula more ammo despite shooting faster and no aoe
eh ill keep tryin shit out. just purchasing, tryin, then sellin if i dont like it.
just these chapter 3 frickers you encounter that like to fly around and dodge my plasma shots making me rethink of a new weapon that isn't zimmers. might go with some laser shit since i pumped my chips up for that damage
Nebula is such a weird weapon. >Less damage >Less ammo >Slightly faster so you can shoot your less ammo more >Better charge shot??
I'm struggling to think of a reason to use it over the other plasma gun.
I appreciate the bite-sized missions, but I would have liked a game with an actual ongoing and complete level. Maybe just a few cutscenes here and there would be nice or to see who's on the comms talking, because it makes it hard to follow the story without a face to go with the communications.
I wish every main mission was like infiltrate grid 086.
Keep coping homosexual. No one wants to play fromslop games anymore. People released those hacks have been rehashing their previous games. They lost their sovl when they made dark souls 1. You also lost to starkino
You are genuinely delusional. This game was the most successful AC game to date. It has ensured future DLC as well as more AC titles. Leave the thread and go play your bethesdaslop.
Yeah the game needs longer missions. I don't mind shorter missions but they should be a seperate category. And frick can the game have some fricking color? Every level is grey or brown, or grey with snow
Just beat NG++
That boss fight was the definition of obnoxious.
Almost beat it first try but ran out of ammo on one of my arms and ended up flying right into on of his attacks with that shitty unarmed attack.
>WTF why aren't SMGs are strong as a literal chaingun
Because they weigh a fraction of said weapon and are meant for lightweights instead of your fatass.
They're also good, but you suck too much at the game to make good use of them.
zoomer here, are all the old games available on modern consoles? I can't get into a new game from a boomer franchise without playing the older titles.
Nope.
Hopefully it will be ported after this game's massive success.
i want all the old games, the ps1 PS2 ps3 psp
they will never get a re-release because overseas publishing rights are held by random companies for each game
There should be a thread on /t/ that can help you
Picrel is the order in which the games were released
>that image
SOVL
Does anyone have the image of all the armored core games from back in December that included play order, whether you should skip or not, difficulty, unique mechanics, game quality, etc.
is dark descent good?
Didn't realise Skies Unknown was the first AC game
emulator
I always see people say that 4A is the best AC. Was VD that bad or do people ignore it for some other reason?
People who say that are morons. here's the ranking
S: ACSL, ACLR
A: AC1, ACMoA, AC3
B: AC2, ACFA, ACVD, AC Nexus(Disc 2)
C: ACAA, ACPP
D: AC Nexus(Disc 1), AC4
F: ACV, ACNB
ACFF not ranked, I never played it.
I would put AC6 in A rank or maybe a strong B+
>AC1-3 is not in trash
Just wrong.
You just didn't understand the games. Yeah quickboost blade boost rubbish like fA is for you.
This list overshades AC2
>You can skip 5 and Verdict Day as those are mainly multiplayer titles.
Why's that? Doesn't the game have a single player campaign like the rest?
ACV has a really crappy campaign honestly. I don't agree with that anon though, VD is still fun for single player.
Use Xenia to emulate it the build is new_xma_decoder@9f72a7c08 on Apr 9 2023
No they aren't. AC has been a licensing nightmare due to some of the old games being published at different points by Ubisoft and defunct companies.
Everything pre Nexus is unplayable unless you can palate aiming with shoulder buttons
Purest GOTY of the last 20 years.
yeah gg. even more with mods coming out
>mech genre is liked again
That was all that matters. Just waiting for the kits now.
Dunkey says it's basic zero thought zero strategy slop
You didn't win shit
Dunkey confirmed mega dunk as usual.
I guess he thinks dodgeroll is strategy.
Who cares about opinion of the person, whi unironically drools over the last of us?
Keep.
How is that even true tho?
Every bosses are different, you can use different build, different tactics and such.
I guess the fact you don't need to memorize muh pattern is making a lot of Souls players seethe.
>Every bosses are different
Each type, maybe. But I've beaten every single AC boss the exact same way.
And I beat every elden ring boss with the moon katana, how is it different?
The difference is you're a homosexual. I emasculated hundreds of queers just like you with a STAMINAMAXX greatshield and lance build. Hit me with your noob slap and it doesn't break my guard and I'm still coming for you and you piss your pants, quit out
That's how do you it in Souls games as well.
Just dodge roll and slash.
Nope I kamehameha'd every ER boss
Best thing about doing it this way is no camera issues, so you can see Fire Giant or Placidusax in their full glory
I've also beaten every single boss in every game I ever played by pattern recognition and exploiting their weaknesses.
Yeah, that's what I agree.
That's just like saying every bosses in Souls games have the weakness to dodgeroll and slash.
RIGHT HAND MELEE WEAPONS
I NEED IT
First one I intend to make is to add 2000 AP to all parts, and just remove repair kits.
Just do a magic build even.
I guess this time melee and close combat are strong so they are like durrrr game so broken.
Expect From a patch this up sooner or later.
And as
said the previous games basically won for free the exact same way.
He simply got filtered and can't comprehend why someone WOULDN'T double gatling snoozefest through it while not giving it the inherent Souls mental bonus.
Genuine cognitive dissonance where he pretends that Elden Ring has no overpowered cheese build/strat you can roll over the entire game with.
Dunkey is zoomer catnip. Hate that moron and his homosexual voice. "Funny voice man review".
>It's significantly more personalized game than Elden Ring.
lol
keep sayin it
you dumb gays arguing over what youtubers think about a video game is so fricking cringe
Don't care about the opinion of a cuck, neither of dunkey.
AC6 is GOTY.
He also said he really likes the game, moron. Hell he even shit on Elden Ring in that video.
>watch his video
>he compares it exclusively to elden ring
He's just gone 110% into clickbait at this point, completely incapable of a legitimate opinion
>basic zero thought zero strategy slop
curious how he doesnt apply this criteria to nintendo bingbing slop
Yeah ? The same guy who made multiple videos claiming Uncharted 4 is a 11/10 masterpiece ?
He also said he likes the game though. The problem woth AC6 is that the good weapons and parts are excessively OP and the middling shit feels useless on anything that needs to be staggered to be killed
I don't know, I use two shoulder mount missiles I've literally never seen another person use and I have really good success with them in the story through NG+, I've used basically the same setup since pretty early in NG and I've only slightly changed it.
>used the same setup since NG
Exactly. You rarely need to change the loadout> Shotgun and songbird for example, just happen to be much faster
Win what? Having another decent AC6 game? Yeah I guess. That's all this game can win though.
Uh, not really. Dunkey just called it mediocre shovelware, and he's not really wrong. It's a solid 6-7/10 game but not very remarkable and will be forgotten pretty quickly. Starfield is a 4/10 though.
>muh dunkey
Not the first or last time he's wrong.
His criticism is muh OP build which is in every video games ever.
At least the fricker doesn't complain about muh difficulty.
Here the surprise is also ruined because when you see the supply thingy you know what you're in for.
>the key to every encounter being the exact same
Not really, Zimmies are horrible for Michigan's horde, you'll run out of ammo before you clear them, Bulbasaur needs a shield breaker, Spider needs the pile bunker, Worm can only be damaged by a special weapon
You know you have back weapon slots? You can keep your zimzams' ammo for non-one hit mooks.
>Bulbasaur needs a shield breaker, Spider needs the pile bunker
Not true
>Worm can only be damaged by a special weapon
And it was a fun and unique mission that stood out amongst the crowd for it.
I used zimmies with needles in that mission and you have plenty of ammo
Don't shoot if you aren't gonna hit. Simple as
I just added the other shotties to my back. Zero problemo. Worm isn’t even a boss you can just hover and pop him in the face. It’s a shit cutscene.
>now that they've seen this is still a financially viable franchise
they will see it was just blind hype and the next game will remain low budget and will sell accordingly
Dunkey has shit opinions
Stop conflating being entertaining with being right
He never said anything like that at all. He kept going back and forth, between good and bad like he was just confused to be there.
>Dunkey
Who ?
In better times it wouldn't get attention but with the states of the gaming industry as it is, it's a blockbuster
8/10
>fromsoft get big dollerdoos from dark souls and elden ring
>they decided to try something different from their big games and see what people think of armoured core
>they put some effort into it, but not make it too big to disrupt their bigger games and see how it goes
>lots of people enjoyed it and want more
>fromsoft now have an idea how much AC can bring in and next AC or DLC they bring out they can put more effort into it knowing it wont be a waste of money
i think the next AC game or DLC ganna expand a lot on lore and gameplay
VI is sure W
I wonder, is there any possibility of the IV and V remake?
V is as dead as Chromehounds. That multiplayer commitment and the expectations for multiplayer first live service games now make it too risky.
I hope we get a 1-4th gen rerelease. Maybe an AC1 remake in the AC6 engine.
Well, remade 1-3 would be nice as well. But there are way more work needed to be done, basically it will be completely new games.
Yeah I tried AC1 earlier today, missions are less than a minute long. The game was made for the limitations of the ps1 in mind
Technically a few of the gen 1 games were rebooted in second and third gen.
Calm down zoomie
Having had this image as my wallpaper for the better part of a year, I think it's time I update it with a screenshot. Thanks for reminding me.
you bargain bin homosexuals arent even up for discussion
I'm enjoying the game a lot
I think it's a win
i'm not...
It's the usual Zanzibart routine.
NG+ and NG++ add more context
with its sales, yes, they'll e releasing more AC games, and more mecha games will be promoted by Bamco.
Unfortunate about the Gundam games though, RIP.
i think this would be good for gundam games in the long run, shit has been stagnating tech wise in gameplay and concept for a decade plus, maybe in 3-5 years we could have some well thought out games.
Bandai is too moronic to make a proper videogame now. Its either milked gacha shit, or Arcades only.
Rusty is a worse Joshua with a worse theme
That is all
I honestly like Rusty more, but his final form will never be as cool as ARETHA. It's also not fair we didn't get this music. I hope they let Hoshino out to play for the DLC/sequel, the OST was such a let down
Joshua has like 1/10th the amount of screentime that Rusty does.
What build is this? Does anyone know the name of each part?
Right hand - Haldeman Shotgun
Left hand - TAI-YANG-SHOU Explosive thrower
Right Shoulder - Earshot Grenade cannon
Left shoulder - SU-Q5 Pulse shield
Head - Melander
Body - Melander
Arms - Melander
Legs - Verill
Generator - One of the internal combustion ones
>TAI-YANG-SHOU Explosive thrower
It's an interesting weapon. Has anyone used it and had success clearing harder missions?
>first playthrough do a lightweight build with dual miniguns and a back mounted melee weapon
>fast paced newtype gameplay where I have to be right on the bosses ass and have little burst damage
>come to Ganker and learn miniguns are OP and I didn't beat the game
>NG+ do the exact opposite, the heaviest tank possible with massive laser canons
>blast ayre from the sky before she even finishes all of her dialogue
>immediately mission replay back to my old build to actually have fun against her
What do I do for NG++ bros?
>Did we win, trashbros
Uh have fun in the trash I guess
Between AC6 and Daemon X Machina a couple years back I've had a pretty decent snack but it'd be nice if mecha was back on the menu as a normal item.
Needs more Chrome Hounds which I didn't know until last week was also made by FromSoft.
Daemon x Machina was trying way too hard to be cutesy and quirky. AC6 is nice and gritty.
It's the cel-shaded style. It didn't translate into an AC game. However, that game isn't an AC game to begin with, it's DxM.
I liked this game a lot. I see people hating on it simply because it's not AC.
I just didn't jive with the tone, man
I didn't get far enough into the mechanics to know if I appreciate them or not because I bounced off the general style hard.
>Chrome Hounds
EDF Delivers
>Drill **** bot
Hah
If these pussy people had an instant win button they’d push it every-time.
god I hope this comes to PC
>still no global release of EDF6
It has a Steam page already.
sheeit, wishlisted
Zoidbros we're coming home
>the nu-zoids instead of the wienerpit ones
don't care, give me my dark horn
soul
>only 2 tetrapod legs
no we did not
I really expected a third one to pop up during NG+ but I'm on the final couple missions and still nothing. Odd we only got 2 quad legs.
Same here, but with the Reverse joints. I was wanting one that had light weight and decent carry weight. There should have been at least one more leg type for the non-bipeds.
was really expecting some kinda light meme version from arquebas was very disappointed
>permaflight quad missile spam build in pvp
The meta has been solved. Love running this against quad shotgun/dual zimmer builds.
Having a hard time dealing with AP and weight. Quads are heavy as frick, so most boosters lose their effectiveness. This leads to slow QB reload and low boost speed in the 250s area.
Bipedals are better at permaflight
What generator?
It's not the generator, it's the booster + generator. You can switch shoulders to dual SOUPs if you want more firepower, but it'll require more energy management.
>He hasn't met my reverse leg build made purely for flexability
>He hasn't seen me jump from the ground and then boost melee for 30% of their HP and stagger then finish them with swarm missiles
I don't care about your flying bullshit, as long as our ping is fine reverse legs being able to gain altitude fast lets you counter them and still works against tank homosexuals.
Show me on the doll where the bipedal quad missile touched you.
>Checkpoints
>Resupplies
>Repair kits
>Artifically low HP because you can heal, no reason to not have 12000 extra HP except as a gotcha during ACS stunlocks
>ACs turn instantly
>No extensions
>No inside parts
>No optional parts
>No weapon arms
>No sniper rifles
>No ECM
>No AMS options
>No part tuning
>Poor part selection in general with several niches missing
>Pulse guns only good for shield breaking
>NG+ only missions and parts
>No branching paths in missions, only one choice matters
>Dark souls bosses
>Stance breaking
>Bosses only take signifcant damage if you stance break meaning any weapon with low impact is worthless
>Hard lockon
>Streamers hate it
>People are dropping it in droves
>90k players average and dropping rapidly
>Already forgotten
Not even slightly.
Shouldn't you be in the Starfield threads now?
Everyone knows Starfield is garbage, I don't need to do anything.
Cope.
https://twitter.com/famitsu/status/1697232817913303146?t=Vz67wBNt1-CP_EoHI5EyIw&s=19
It's great but I am disappointed by the variety of MTs when compared to other AC games.
>BG3 is for degenerates
>ToTK is children and people who are mentally children
>Starfield is a flop so far
>Spider Man 2 will only appeal to normies
Yeah AC6 bros I think we got GOTY in the bag
WHAT THE FRICK DO YOU MEAN "MORE INCOMING" I'M FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE HERE
Good luck next time, Anon.
I just finished a mission where every single time I thought I was done, another wave or form would show up, and it was a battle to fight the next form, then when that was done and I was on 42AP and out of ammo in one of my main guns another fricking wave/form. It was awesome.
THERE'S EVEN **MORE**?
Just flamethrower them
go dual linear rifles, a single charge shot stuns the rolly boys instantly and you can proceed to frick them up with anything you have. I used the heavier version of the linear rifle, it's insanely good
Linear rifle and plasma rifle are real MVP and they are literally Ch1 weapons.
The only thing I hate is input reading. Fricking Raven immediately uses assault armor as soon as I press my hold my Lance charge.
>started replaying older titles after it was first announced
>play many of the ones I never got to play
>relive memories with the ones I did
>get hyped, maybe unreasonable
>the game releases and I can't stop playingi
>going to finish NG++ and then probably play AC4 and For Answer since I finally got copies again
>waiting for new Armored Core kits to be releases or re-released
Dunno if you have em yet but the needle shooter pistols are dank.
glad you had fun anon, but personally I'm just burned out on le stagger bar.
>What awaits us on the other side?
>Raven, let's find out together.
>Literal blackhole of coral emerging in front of me
>Raven...it's beautiful
b***h WHAT
"we hold the trigger"
UH
>Bro, but le potential!
Yeah, no frick that. They were right, kill it all with fire.
Infecting the galaxy with my schizo coral girlfriend!
MANKIND ASCENDING
QUICK, GIVE ME A RUNDOWN ON THE THIRD ENDING
DID WE all get turned into coral tang? Is it like the end of evangelion where everyone is now interconnected? The frick happened? I feel brainlet. I know dolmayan was scared shitless of a coral release, but allmind was convinced that the Rubiconian "symbiosis" was just subjugation of the coral
Everyone gets to have sex with their coral waifu.
>GIVE ME A RUNDOWN ON THE THIRD ENDING
There's no definitive answer. The narrative in general is pretty messy.
No, you gave all the augmented AC pilots their own coral headfriend and created ultra Newtypes with access to infinite energy hypertech.
You thought the game was Dune but in reality it was Eureka Seven.
you give everyone a coral tulpa and it remains to be seen if it kills everyone
Dunkey's review fricking sucked. His complaints are all valid if a little ill-informed and small brain.....The issue is he keeps talking about Elden Ring and Dark Souls. He'll say something true about the game that he's justified to feel but because he keeps bringing up Souls and because a lot of his gripes are equally valid for Souls....He comes off like a moron.
That's the guy that continues to review JRPGs despite hating the genre as a whole and said that Doom Eternal is better on controller than M+KB.
>moron gives a moronic review
What did you expect?
What's with all the gay Hollywood garbage commercials for it, though? This is some AAA moronic marketing strategy, why is From wasting money on this shit instead of funneling it towards development (of the sequel)? Is Hollywood so shit right now that actors are desperate enough to do these shit commercials? Did they bite because actors are willing to be paid pennies for it?
?si=eia5Hns-F1QnPRHv

>from
>in charge of advertising
You know what Publishers do, don't you?
None of these are remotely high budget and they are SOVLful.
Laser rifle also staggers, and they are also fast firing.
Just have a decent EN generator and keeps shooting.
>Bandai Namco Entertainment America
>America
There's your answer, the other channels don't have that garbage.
The first one is fine.
>first one
>he doesn't know
Mono-eye king I kneel
>zeon suits
>tokushit
I can't take this much soul. Shame about msias those are probably dust by now.
Are laser rifles worth it? Since this game is based entirely around stagger, they feel very weak.
If you boost up their damage with the right generator they can definitely be competitive.
I just beat Ibis with the missile wings and the double barreled laser rifle so I think it's worth it.
What gives?
>Beat the game
>Only one ending
I'll go for the other endings later, but I did see credits.
Achievement numbers are bugged I think. I did that ending yesterday and it told me 0.1 percent have it
What the frick do they want for Investigate BAWS S rank, holy frick
FREELANCER
> want to use the coral generator because the red color is cool as frick
> takes a fricking year to start recharging
Why you do this, From?
You're supposed to let Coral generators run dry so you get all EN back after a full recharge, morono, look at those stats in your garage, it doesn't take much
Use up all of your energy and watch as you get back 70% of it once it fills back up.
What this anon said, you're actually rewarded for playing poorly as opposed to watching your energy reserves. This is true for almost all generators not just these.
>Timing your downtime for big payoff style risk reward is playing poorly
You're even more stupid than the other moron
Mediocre trash version of real AC. Have fun sliding around on ice and holding down one button before you inevitably melee.
What's real AC?
>Have fun sliding around on ice and holding down one button
damn it really is AC
Yeah despite it's flaws I'm having fun.
biggest flaw imo is the stagger system
>biggest flaw imo is the stagger system
Yeah that's basically the reason for all the balance issues. The stagger system will always mean that upclose aggression with high impact weapons is king.
The data for steam achivements has always been delayed. There's more people who have achivements from NG++ than apparently have that achivement, which obviously isn't possible.
Nah, if they buff all the other weapon's damage and make the dichotomy something like
>Bigger Damage Weaker Stagger
or
>Big Stagger, Weaker Damage.
Just put everything on a triangle with
>Stagger
>Direct Hit
>Raw Damage
at each corner.
Literally wrong. Used to even have snipers.
>You don't do full damage until you stagger so making weapons do even more damage is only going to make stagger even stronger.
Not if you leave the good weapons alone when you tweak it you absolute brainlet. Don't frick with the shit that's already viable OBVIOUSLY.
Anon can I get the codes for the Amarou symbol?
Maybe the others?
Provided its on Ps5.
PC sorry try leddit
it's where I found the symbols
they probably converted or made some for PS5 by now
Can you show me the thread or something?
I need spoonfed.
In return, ill share.

What?
everyone used zimmys for the mission so they didn't really beat it
>Zims agains the Iceworm
Why?
NPCs who hear that weapon is good so they use it
a shame really
I don't know what weapon is actually the best for that mission. It seems scripted to lose a lot of health after break points anyway.
charged pile bunker one shots the first two down phases and is pretty close to one shotting the 3rd. Might be able to with the best melee damage arms.
It doesn't really matter due to how the fight works
Has anyone tried intentionally failing to kill the worm when Rusty goes for the final shot? Maybe it's related somehow.
I failed it the first time, Wolta says "this is the taste of failure" or something like that.
I was terrible at aiming for the face so everyone had left the battle when I beat him
Nah, they all fail early on most times other than chatty. Might be viable to save chatty tho. I've done very good fights where I hit it as fast as possible within reason on the first two hits. Always the same result.
It's because at the time that person got the achievement he was one of the earliest. It's 32% right now.
Oh I see, I looked up the Global Achievements rates and yet, it's higher there. For whatever reason just my steam library is showing 1%.
I have a ton of achievements that show up in the log as 0.1% but it's just because I got far into a game I was excited for the release of very quickly.
Nowadays I take my time, I'm only finishing up NG+, some people finished NG+++ day 1. I don't feel like keeping up with that shit anymore.
I can't believe IGN rated AC6 8/10 but gave BG3 a 10/10
Something really is wrong with BG3 but we will see one year in.
So what exactl was the fires of Ibis? What is Ibis? Was coral present in Ibis too? And did the fire not only consume the star systems, but other star systemas as well? Was its range that massive?
Afaik they stated that the Fires of Ibis consumed the star system Rubicon was in. Just a frick-huge big energy explosion, but I might be missing some details.
the coral scientists tried to genocide coral, it didnt work
But in another world called Ibis?
Ibis is the name for the coral weapon series designed by Walter's dad
The scientists detected a mutation in the coral that was set to occur within 48 hours and decided to ignite it all to prevent it
So that planet being burned isn't Rubicon 3?
No he's a moron. The Fires nuked the whole star system. Only Rubicon 3 survived.
That MIGHT not be R3 in the pic but that's not relevant.
>The fire is pouring out from the tower
Shit, you're right. The image makes it look like the fires are coming from the center of the star system (or close to it).
Anon, we've seen this animated. A wave of shit comes from elsewhere and pours over the system.
Don't be a brainlet.
?si=bn5ikxMJmeDjqchB&t=49
>Massive slow shot of a wave of energy coming from ELSEWHERE and washing across the planet like a wave of water
>DURR THE ORIGINATED ON THE PLANET LOL
Still waiting for all those sources about Coral existing other places than Rubicon 3 in game, which considering everything the lore surrounding coral would've resulted in coral existing on those planets too even post fire making the closure of Rubicon 3 irrelevant
>Still waiting for all those sources about Coral existing other places than Rubicon 3 in game
Walter's Ibis series is literally stated to be the only one that's manned.
>If coral was some shit that existed elsewhere then we'd have logs that indicated it
Never said it exists naturally elsewhere.
So your argument really is that Coral just was only magically used in range of the fire, totally backpedaling on your initial point of "Why not use that shit on other planets". lol
'
>totally backpedaling on your initial point of "Why not use that shit on other planets". lol
You can't even keep track of basic logic holy frick.
>No he's a moron.
Now sure how I'm a moron when the game literally tells you Rubicon is where this shit started
Instead of Nagai as a name they should've go with Saotome.
It is
It got burned once by IBIS weapons
Briefing by Carla and Walter ending should be a clue.
>Briefing by Carla and Walter ending should be a clue.
You're talking after finishing the game with the "bad" ending? I don't remember Carla talking there, only Walter.
I don't remember exactly, but one of the briefings shows a pic of Rubicon being burned along with the plan to do it again
Because you did it it's called Fires of Raven
Holy headcanon cope, just take your fricking L and read the data logs next time
It's not a cope. We literally see the fires hitting R3 from afar. It's also the least believable scenario that the planet that was the source and therefore hit hardest would be the only one where coral remained.
You are operating absolute MAXIMUM headcanon by saying that log proves the fires IGNITED on R3.
You are moronic. You make frickin' vaati look like a lore scholar.
>The datalog called Fires of Ibis? Not the actual fires of ibis btw
- you, a certified moron
Not the SOURCE of them moron skullfricked ESL NPC.
>take pic of wave on beach
>"THIS IS THE SOURCE OF ALL WAVES"
This is you. You're that stupid.
Don't care about pronouns of characters I don't care about. The lore is cool. Doin't give a SHIT about what gentials Nagai has.
>He thinks Nagai was a woman
Confirmed for not playing the game at all or being illiterate, blind or potentially all three.
Wait, how do I get more OS chips in NG+?
More arena entries later on in the campaign.
so Coral is basically just the commune of sentient energy?
so let's ask the most important question
has Ayre been "connected" with other male Corals?
is she a virgin is what I'm asking
Ayre is an isolated wave so she is pure
Ayre is your coral wife.
Just like Father Dormammu had his own coral wife.
Iguazu was too much of a b***h and his coral wife kept telling him how much better Raven is so he tuned her out, but then thought it was Ayre cause he's moronic and hates you.
Somehow yes, the only worthwhile big budget title this year managed to be an armored core game. Did not expect that.
BG3 is really good despite being unfinished and woke. Insane game length for today's market
too bad the homosexualry filtered me to the point of not ever playing not even if getting paid for.
Just pirate it and remember you can kill pretty much any character.
doesnt excuse the woman writing and all the gays
The game lets you sell a dyke into slavery and then you can convince her girlfriend to try and save her, which leads to her dying
>6/10 average
>7/10 on Ayre's route
if a 7/10 at best is considered winning then i'm sorry for you.
Nope, BG3 did.
Anyone that disagrees more than likely didn't play it.
Yes I know that makes you angry, but it's the truth.
Does anyone else get a glitch where Arena AI just stop shooting weapons when it gets down to around 25% AP?
Think bamco will see this game’s success and throw the Gundam IP at fromsoft again? I seriously want a good Gundam game (that isn’t fricking region locked or arcade only).
>Iguazu's autism is so strong he deletes ALLMIND along with the spiders
now this is the kind of anime bullshit I can get behind
Seriously what was that power from? How did he just cut everything off?
He's an Irregular
He also has a coral waifu, he's just desperately trying to pretend it doesn't exist.
Coral interfaces with technology as easily as a human breathes.
He just can't hear his coral-fu because he's only exposed to the amount of coral that was used to perform his augmentation
If we had tossed him into a coral reaction then he would have been able to hear his schizo headfriend as well. He has Contact potential but he just hasn't been exposed to the proper stimuli yet.
>running on NG+
>beating every boss 1st try
feels good to finally be a bully
forgot file
>purple and green
th-thanks doc
The only bosses I didn't beat on first try were Balteus, the finn-funneling ibis weapon at the coral lake and final boss. And then there was that one random miniboss HC(?) inside the wall in one of the chapter 3 missions.
Just beat NG++, holy shit what a good game.
I hope they continue the franchise at a pace faster than 10 year gaps. I only played 4Answer and ACV before this, but AC6 was beyond kino.
I want an expansion pack, old school PC style. If Grim Dawn can have it, I don't see why AC cannot.
They probably will now that it's not an unknown quantity. AC6 was pretty popular, so fingers crossed.
I'd like it if Fromsoft went back to their circa 2004 breakneck development pace. Lost Kingdoms 3, Armoured Core 7, King's Field Reloaded. All of it.
>unimaginable mind breaking sex with coral waifu
we won
Playing AC6 made me nostalgic for Codement of all things. Holds up surprisingly well.
literal dogshit, it was such a borefest i kinda rushed every mission skipping the elites and uninstalled
never buying garbage from cucksoftware again
This but the opposite, I love this game and have zero regrets. I hope when it goes on sale in a year more people will find out how good it is, or perhaps the people that realize they've made a terrible decision with starfield will give it a try so they can have an actual decent game to play. Best of luck to you anon.
>AC in the escort mission down to a sliver of health
>he boosts right into the line of helicopter so my spread bazooka tracks him and blows them both up
aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
kino
like a gundam episode
how did your helicopter get that low in the first place? The mission is only on NG+ you should be annihilating everything before they get close until the very end, and then just kill the MTs as they drop and go back to killing the boss. He's just a regular AC so he should die pretty quick.
Ziyi. All her friends die in the battle so she decides to go back to the battlefield alone afterwards and die herself I guess?
2 lines before it he was talking about how you make his heart race in anticipation, and right before it he mention how he's anxious to meet you. He's talking about his heart beat. But he's still a nutjob.
>Look at you, 621...
>You found a friend...
WALTUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH
>Letting the copter get to low AP in the first place
Protip: you can just go around and sweep everything in the map as the copter does its thing, if you're not getting to the last checkpoint at full copter AP it's your problem, Nile's a chump too.
Finding all the combat logs is kind of tiresome.
V.IV fight was top tier kino
i dont really "get" it. am i just supposed to out dps the other guy before i get blown up?
>am i just supposed to out dps the other guy before i get blown up?
You just described practically every combat-focused videogame in existence.
there is no counterplay though. it just feels like a war of attrition
We won.
It is kino. Now all we need is PVP balance patches and some updates
the only thing that can save PvP is a PvP Arena with matchmaking
Never played VD but I heard VD was so fricked with "trio damage types" mechanic, From spent few patches fixing entire mechanic. So if it was true I guess we're safe
Yeah I had fun with it. Here's hoping the other games in the generation make it harder. Also still prefer the older lock-on but I don't think this one is a disaster or anything.
I fricking love this game bros I have every trophy but all S ranks already
>clear all missions with S ranks
Well that's a tiresome one to do.
I'm going to penetrate Maeterlinck from behind
With a pilebunker?
So are there rewards for S ranking missions or is there dlc comin? I can't load a few of these NPC ACs
It's just bragging rights and a cheevo
so is it just impossible to load walter or ayre's ACs?
You get Waltuh's ACs for completing Ayre's route, the weapons are separate unlocks, some are NG++ stuff, others are log hunts.
Ayre's mech is an IBIS series, not an AC, you can't get those parts.
Yeah, I have all that shit. Maxxed my loghunt and everything, but when I go to load the data it says I cant. I'm talking about loading the Arena AC datas from the AC Data page.
Anon, Walter's is also part of the IBIS series. Go be moronic elsewhere.
All the AC data from the arena is buildable for me. If you've finished NG++ and the loghunt I guess you might still be missing some of the chests then, some of the institute stuff is found in NG++ missions.
you have access to everything by the time you clear the third ending, last things to unlock are the coral weapons
I'll be playing this game till the next Monster Hunter or Ace Combat comes out.
here's to hoping we get a traditional expansion like the old games.
How do I S+ the invisible mechs level? It's way harder than Balteus.
use your scanner
I do but I get A's.
I'm not interested in the game, but I'm curious about the lore. Why are there no trees in the trailers and gameplay? Does it have something to do with the weird gaseous effects sweeping over the planet in the promotional material? Also, is there a lore reason why every metal structure or vehicle is so frickhuge?
pic unrelated
>Giant fricking explosion incinerated everything
>Because
I believe there are trees in the snowy parts of the game. I specifically remember trees in the very first level after you use the catapult.
There are tons of trees, Rubicon 3 is a normal ass planet
In the end, war in the pocket is my favorite.
Source?
>I should finally get around to watching some gundam
You don't need to watch in any order.
If you're into cross-dressing, Turn A Gundam.
If you're into shota, Victory Gundam.
If you're into war is hell, 0080 War in the Pocket.
If you're into sex, war, prosthetics and jazz music, Thunderbolt.
If you're into fugoshi bait, SEED and Destiny.
If you're into zombie MC, Gundam Wing.
Japanese comedy? Mobile Suit G Gundam.
I wish the camera was a bit further back behind your AC. Can make tracking things a bit harder as it is now.
So are people in the cores themselves or are they remotely linked to their mech's cores? Otherwise how were people exploding and then showing up later like yeah whats up bro.
>So are people in the cores themselves or are they remotely linked to their mech's cores?
Yes.
You’re only allowed to eject from your exploding AC if the plot requires it.
Please post cool webms if you have any
alright dual plasma doesn't work right when these frickin Black folk stay in the air and dodge all my shit as soon as i press a button
what should i use to sweep missions? ch3 btw
Shotguns. If you run out of ammo put the other 2 shotguns on your back slots using the upgrade from arena missions or replace one with a melee weapon of choice.
Which plot-irrelevant character do you guys think deserved to die the least? My vote is for Rummy.
I feel bad for Chatty 🙁
The only reason Chatty died is because Carla is a philosophical shitter that didn't back him up because she thought it'd make him soulless.
Also Chatty died because of the power of cutscenes, basically.
>Freud comes down and one shots Chatty
>Then jobs to us
Freud fricked around and found out
It was pretty funny, he didn’t even get the chance to finish his line about Chatty before I pilebunkered him to death.
felt the worst for maeterlinck
Maeterlinck. Doesn't even have an alternate route where you can spare her, unlike Ziyi and Chatty.
The trainee pilot in the first chapter. Just fricking killed that kid for no reason
He's just a victim of bad timing and corporate warfare. He could have punched out when we attacked though, instead of trying to fight it out thinking he was hot shit.
His training took over, he couldnt help it. How could he have known you were an autistic super soldier
great story great script and great voice performance.
S T A R F I E L D
>have to fight V3
>he's a quadBlack person and the arena is basically a giant pit
>just floats off in the middle blasting away at you
ALLMIND is dumb as frick.
You just suck at the game if you thought the roomba is hard without melee, nades and zooks alone destroy it effortlessly
Never said it was hard, but I also don't use nades or zooks. Missiles, a rifle and a shotgun.
The only boss I really struggled with was IBIS. Every other one seemed like they gave enough leeway. They're not perfect, but considering what they have to live up to (AKA run up to Answerer and tap him with a blade until he insta-dies) the bar isn't exactly set high.
>but fighting it without a melee weapon was just an awful experience
uh no, its definitely not, use double plasma rifles. that'll get you very far. you have to fly up and aim down like soldier in tf2 and stagger shots so enemies dodge into the blast. that will get you very far. coupled with those vertical plasma missiles and you'll shred everything from a distance if thats really what you want to do. have fun anon.
>if a shared image you downloaded gets deleted it wipes the saved data of any ACs saved that use it
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
What the frick is his problem?
You need to be a doser to understand
DUDE
>Sekiro Stagger System forced only center builds to be viable
Filtered
Didn't beat the game
>he gets hit
yeah skill issue go back to elden ring
>1. Part selection was dogshit
Gen 3 had worse part selection, most of your parts in Gen 3 up to LR are trash, in AC6 90% of your parts are actually usable.
>2. Bosses being centered around the Sekiro Stagger System nullified 70% of the part list.
Severe skill issue
>3. Sekiro Stagger System forced only center builds to be viable
See above
>4. The music was absolute trash
Better than AC3/SL/NB/FF/LR/V/VD
>5. Once you got the OP parts the entire game is a faceroll
Same is true for any AC, AC6 still had tons of really good moments.
Nice crop by the by, where did you steal it?
Why would i need to lie about a game that was piss easy?
>Better than VD
>
VD had a great soundtrack but gameplay sucked ass. VD bombed hard and was the largest contributing factor behind why we had to wait nearly 10 years for another AC game. The game was so poorly recieved even after From had developed a name for themselves that many of the devs were let go and eventually formed again to create DxM (another massive POS). They deviated so far away from what made the AC games awesome for their niche group. They literally needed to either make a better version of 4A or even better LR and they would have been making god-tier AC titles.
i just started playing
i tried buying all the lightwieght frame parts but could only equip a gun and laser sword and the extra dodges and low HP just kinda sucked, ended up swapping back and boss I was on was easy
can I replay missions to farm credits to buy different gear I wanna try?
parts/weapons sell for full value so you can just sell the ones you don't like.
but yes, you can.
Remove stagger and AC6 becomes the hardest shit ever.
And oh yeah... thats exactly what AC vets wanted in their Armored core game....melee and stagger centric combat.... in a mech game that historically focused on guns.... yeaaaaaah.
Armored Sekiro.
N'other new build, how is it?
+1 chromosome
Seems like it so far.
I hope this game gets an Iceborne like Monster Hunter World did.
Or better yet a Sunbreak where they completely removed the most unpopular aspect from the original.
I hope they remove stagger and add old school maze like interior stages
>dunk Rusty before Middle Flatwell can even show up
>he just Assault Bursts and his mech disappears
That was pretty amusing
I did something similar with Freud and his attacks kept coming lol
>AC6 arena
It's good to see some things never change
any good double karasawa rifle build?
honestly the Karasawa in this game sucks because of it's atrocious cooldown
Nebula is better
but I still use the Karasawa since it's the build I use in every single AC I've played and just make it work
>Snail...please
>it turns out that he’s intentionally ignoring her, waiting to take a shot at you
What an butthole
I just beat Balteus after 2 days/15 hours and over 100+ tries. I hate this fricking game now, and I was having fun before this happened. I can almost guarantee I'll never finish it because I hear it only gets much harder. They over-tuned this one to the point of it not being fun.
Majority of bosses will be way easier (except Sea Spider maybe) up until Ibis.
Since you're past Balteus now you can make zimmerman + songbird (and later needle) with wheelchair to cheese the rest of the game if you desire.
how much did you coom after beating him?
I didn't I was so angry it wasn't a good feeling of overcoming the boss, it was miserable.
Now start chapter 2 and buy two zimmerman shotguns and two songbird shoulder cannons to faceroll through the rest of the game. Remember to replace the songbirds with the needle cannon when it becomes available.
you mean the laser shotgun VP-66LS? If not that's all I have available new to purchase. The songbirds are there though.,.
I guess I still need to unlock it. I shut the game off right after getting back to the garage.
They should be there if the songbirds are available
Songbirds, miniguns, arm grenades, zimmermans are all good choices to demolish things. Anything with high impact destroys most things. But seriously if you get stuck just see what other people did. You can always sell shit back for full price. I'll save wacky and unique builds for later and protect my sanity
If you get stuck just cheese the boss, it's not worth the headache. Seriously save your masochism until after you beat it. Use your brain and make a build that counters them, or look up what other people did. It's not worth frustrsting yourself over
Holy shit. Impossible. No way. Not happening. Can one be so inept?
I bet you used the tank/cannon build you pussy.
You idiot, you don't unlock zimmers, songbirds, or even the Gatling gun before beating watchpoint mission. You just suck.
have you tried using a weapon that melts shields that you unlocked prior to the fight and the miniboss before it was using it?
Not him but that's what I did. I lost to him a little less than 10 times with my previous build, went dual pulse guns and beat him on the first or second try.
The bubble guns? Yeah that's how I finally got him along with two 10pack missile launchers. I kept getting him down to 15% health and running out of bubble gun ammo.
I used bubble guns, starting sword and some missiles
Without the sword it would have taken longer
The next boss will be hard. I used 4 grenade launchers and quad legs
Balteus returns for vengeance in a future mission.
:^)
Ohnonono, tell me the better weapons I'll have will make him easy to demolish. The second fight is easier, right?
I beat him in two tries, and that's only because my first try didn't expect him and didn't have weapons equipped to fight him.
You SHOULD be more skilled by then and be able to defeat it without much trouble, but it is technically harder than the original.
>Carla
That fight is super easy tho?
Depends on your build. It was literally impossible with mine.
My build was ALL missiles, every boss in the game is weak to missiles.
What build did you use? Her endless missile spam was really fricking annoying
>Her endless missile spam was really fricking annoying
Missiles x4, the screen was always full of missiles both from her and from me.
Where is the Ephemera core piece?
I swear iv looked everywhere by now.
man I hate all the nubosses
just give me moving citadel fortress, flying carrier, deathstar boss
or any AC bosses
not these dark soul shits
we're not the target audience anymore fellow oldgay
the new generation of gamers have been engineered to be moronic
Most of them are pretty shit
Just tedious unless you cheese them
Typical jap game with moronic hitboxes
Some of the bosses were a lot of fun, others needed more playtesting
The AC fights were all great
how many swords are there?
I think there's like 6 or 7 if you're talking all melee
It made a million zoomer children go out and play a Mecha game because one of their favorite developers produced it. I'd say its pretty fricking based as hell alone for doing that.
>million
You don't know that. There aren't any sales figures out, or From Software would be bragging about it themselves.
It was the top selling game on steam for a day or so and that's only on pc. There's tons of streamers and YTers playing it too, a million copies isn't that much of a stretch
I don't get it, why do some people assume this game is going to get a DLC? Force of habit?
>AC4
>AC4 Answer
>AC5
>ACV erdict Day
nobody has said shit about sales numbers. Did AC6 flop?
who cares about sale numbers?
they determine if we get more AC, no?
silly anon
we'll get an expansion the same way we got AC6
based on the soulslop sales
you see fromsoft has figured it out
make goyslop to make shekkels
then use shekkels to make based mecha game
IIRC, there's an article by Famitsu talking about it. At least by consoles alone, it beated all ACs except 2/3 and V in initial sales.
I really fricking doubt it somehow sold less than that when gaming has grown like 5x over. Is this physical only or something
"Here’s the full Famitsu software sales chart for August 21 – 27. Missed last week’s report when Pikmin 4 crossed the gigantic 700,000 sales point? Check out the last Famitsu chart right here!
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (PS5): 115,393 [debut]
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (PS4): 47,949 [debut]
Pikmin 4 (Switch): 31,312 [752,593 total]
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch): 10,200 [5,453,841 total]
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (Switch): 7,656 [1,840,742 total]
Minecraft (Switch): 7,486 [3,243,441 total]"
Dogshit numbers considering the popularity of From software at this point. Game should have been putting down Elden ring numbers.
No, Japanese fricking suck and don't play mature or hardcore games. AC is for otaku and gamers.
>Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (PS5): 115,393 [debut]
>Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (PS4): 47,949 [debut]
Steam beat those numbers, we know for sure that 150k+ bought this game.
https://steamcharts.com/app/1888160
>Game should have been putting down Elden ring numbers
LOL not even the israelites at Namco believed this was happening.
https://www.gamesindustry.biz/bandai-namco-elden-ring-success-will-truly-widen-armored-core-6s-audience
It's going to sell Sekiro numbers
What kind of braindead mongoloid would expect elden ring numbers from a non-souls game
I really doubt even Dark Souls 4 would hit ER numbers considering heckin open worlderino and being sponsored by GRRM.tm
Thank fricking god I was not born Indian
GOD I LOVE CIRCLEJERKING IN THIS THREAD
Please tell me some good laser weapons. I keep trying to make a laser build work and they seem to be so weak and never have any impact. Depression. On NG++ so maybe some good ones finally show up?
Its too fast
It being too fast, forced devs into implementing the auto tracking and the stagger mechanic that many seem to hate.
alright i really need something for missions that aren't frickin george zimmermans and songbird. ill use plasma missiles and i like having a shoulder sword as back up
i want to kill ac units for combat logs and need something thats very robust and flavorful
dual chink machine guns
make your own decision
got any recommendations buddy? or did i already list them
ill try those. i ran out of ammo using the earliest ones i got dual wielding but i think i have a better grasp on shit now
Dual assault rifles, the stronger ones. Its like scudder or something. Pretty good but not broken
>every single laser weapon completely sucks
Nice.
>he doesn't use the double beam donger
Use an arquebus generator, moron
READ
THE
FRICKING
STATS
I am. Boy i love having all my energy sapped because i feel like running 4 beam weapons. Oh, kinetic doesnt have that problem and still does a ton of damage and I can use any generator I want? Cool.
Just make your ac energy efficient
>i love having all my energy sapped because i feel like running 4 beam weapons.
Strange how that doesn't happen to me.
not him but what does that do? make them do more damage?
>arquebus generator
Oh, does that generator magically make energy weapons actually do decent impact damage for a change? No? then they still suck lmao
Generators have a stat to make energy weapons charge faster. There are 3 generators in the game designed for energy weapons specifically.
>Generators have a stat to make energy weapons charge faster.
frick im moronic. thanks.
i might be a laser gay in the future because bright lights and im a homosexual.
The double laser rifle is fricking amazing
You won simply because you actually got another game.
nebula has no ammo. what the frick
Plasma = giga damage but low ammo.
im tryin to ween off plasma but the first rifle you get has been so good to me, same with the shoulder missiles
thought nebula would be a good trade off because of the slow rate of fire but they didn't compensate by giving nebula more ammo despite shooting faster and no aoe
It's kinda light and you can equip it as side weapon for different builds.
eh ill keep tryin shit out. just purchasing, tryin, then sellin if i dont like it.
just these chapter 3 frickers you encounter that like to fly around and dodge my plasma shots making me rethink of a new weapon that isn't zimmers. might go with some laser shit since i pumped my chips up for that damage
Nebula is such a weird weapon.
>Less damage
>Less ammo
>Slightly faster so you can shoot your less ammo more
>Better charge shot??
I'm struggling to think of a reason to use it over the other plasma gun.
guys this me playing the game and having a great time please be more tolerant and respectful.
disgusting
nice build anon, can i have the code?
good, enjoy the game you paid for
anyone that screeches about "meta" is buckbroken after being exposed to too much youtube
You didn't beat the game
>1 dongbird is enough for all of ng+
>full laser
>heavy AC
>dongbird
RUINED
S Ranking is just an Edge of Tomorrow simulator. I just keep retrying
Move Zimmerman to NG++
I appreciate the bite-sized missions, but I would have liked a game with an actual ongoing and complete level. Maybe just a few cutscenes here and there would be nice or to see who's on the comms talking, because it makes it hard to follow the story without a face to go with the communications.
somewhat agree. jarring starting the next mission like the cleaner level, finishing it, and next mission starts right where you left off.
I wish every main mission was like infiltrate grid 086.
You are genuinely delusional. This game was the most successful AC game to date. It has ensured future DLC as well as more AC titles. Leave the thread and go play your bethesdaslop.
I wish the music was more like 086
>It has ensured future DLC
Stop. DLC is confirmed "not planned" which is the polite way of saying "no".
Yeah the game needs longer missions. I don't mind shorter missions but they should be a seperate category. And frick can the game have some fricking color? Every level is grey or brown, or grey with snow
Tfw zoomers won't even get the reference because its older then they are
>ttgl was almost 18 years ago
Just beat NG++
That boss fight was the definition of obnoxious.
Almost beat it first try but ran out of ammo on one of my arms and ended up flying right into on of his attacks with that shitty unarmed attack.
why are all machin gun suck outside of galting?
The stronger assault rifle is decent
>WTF why aren't SMGs are strong as a literal chaingun
Because they weigh a fraction of said weapon and are meant for lightweights instead of your fatass.
They're also good, but you suck too much at the game to make good use of them.
because galting is meta and you're metaprostitute
