Yeah, everything. All Shrines, all Lightroots, all side quests, all side adventures, all compendium photos, all armors+upgrades, all schematics, all Korok Seeds, all fabrics not exclusive to amiibo, all map locations, all recipes, all Bubbulfrogs, all medals, all Hudson signs, you name it. Felt pretty daunting but I managed just fine.
I do have fun obtaining 100% completion for the games I enjoyed and don't consider it a chore or a detrimental compulsion. I don't have OCD and instead just have the inattentive kind of ADHD, so it does make for a good exercise of my patience and attention span. If something can hold my attention long enough to plan things out and keep track of potentially thousands of things, I consider that a good thing. Completionism beats the mental and physical strain of speedrunning any day for me.

Focus on one region at a time. First, do the main quest of that region, and then, explore and do the side quests (some side quests are only unlocked after you do the dungeon). Start with Rito's main quest, his champion ability is extremely useful for exploration.

There is. People have been meme-ing about how loose the ice and electric dragon sets look. Electric is all exposed while ice has a huge open back for easy access.
The sets are kinda lame to use though. They have this unique "weather power" effect where each one gives your attacks an elemental finisher if you're in that type of weather. So ice in cold, fire in hot, electric in thunderstorm.
Problem being that in those instances, it's better to be using the OPPOSITE element, so it's really not worth it compared to other armors which give better bonuses.
Like the flight suit that has the upgraded set bonus of "no fall damage"

Yona being from another Domain does suggest a lot. One neat thing is Lurelin Village has a sidequest after you rebuild it involving finding the old shirt of one of the villagers. It ends up being the same kind of shirt Windwaker Link wore from his home island. Given all the rock salt atop the mountains in BotW and TotK it really suggests to me that this Hyrule may very well be post floodrule, which also means New Hyrule might exist somewhere else to travel to.
Hyrule is basically a three layer cake. Chasm/Surface/Sky.
My wet dream is for the future game to shoot for

I’d massively increase the footprint of all the towns and in general the surface of hyrule would be largely safe because you’ve already rescued it long ago. Infrastructure, basic airships. But also shit like Hylian settlements being built with places and comforts for Rito or Zora and ect.
The fun of seeing Hyrule again SHOULD be in seeing it cultivate as you defend it.

True, but consider that the Zonai we get in TotK is refined more than the involvement of the Zonai had been at the time of BotW.
In BotW hints about the Zonai are made more with the purpose of adding mystery without committing to any clear answers. We see a variety of mysterious stuff with purposes we can only guess at.
But the zonai, rauru at least, have been refined by the time they hit TotK and Nintendo narrows down on the mystery and mythos they’re kicking up.
It’s kinda a chekov’s gun situation. They’re not trying to add too much mud to the information of the scenes we’re in.

Her being turned into an immortal dragon just wandering around for eternity with no consciousness was a bit sad.

I've been playing it little by little between work, wife, and kids. I've got about 70+ hours in it, and I just beat the spirit temple, and only have about 20% of the depths cleared. I've only done about 5 side quests. This game is going to keep me busy all summer. And I doubt I will ever 100% it. Mainly because I'm not worried about Koroks past the inventory max.
I've just completed the story mode and a few quests. Planning on doing all of the shrines before the DLC comes out. Don't think I'll collect all of the korok seeds this time.
Everything that could be done on the overworld is done but I'm still only 25 hours into the depths and maybe half the map is uncovered. Slowly heading up from the bottom working my way back and forth since I know the last story dungeon is at the top.

All Shrines, all Lightroots, all side quests, all side adventures, all compendium photos, all armors+upgrades, all schematics, all Korok Seeds, all fabrics not exclusive to amiibo, all map locations, all recipes, all Bubbulfrogs, all medals, all Hudson signs, you name it. Felt pretty daunting but I managed just fine.
I do have fun obtaining 100% completion for the games I enjoyed and don't consider it a chore or a detrimental compulsion. I don't have OCD and instead just have the inattentive kind of ADHD, so it does make for a good exercise of my patience and attention span. If something can hold my attention long enough to plan things out and keep track of potentially thousands of things, I consider that a good thing. Completionism beats the mental and physical strain of speedrunning any day for me.

The sets are kinda lame to use though. They have this unique "weather power" effect where each one gives your attacks an elemental finisher if you're in that type of weather. So ice in cold, fire in hot, electric in thunderstorm.
Problem being that in those instances, it's better to be using the OPPOSITE element, so it's really not worth it compared to other armors which give better bonuses.

Yona being from another Domain does suggest a lot. One neat thing is Lurelin Village has a sidequest after you rebuild it involving finding the old shirt of one of the villagers. It ends up being the same kind of shirt Windwaker Link wore from his home island. Given all the rock salt atop the mountains in BotW and TotK it really suggests to me that this Hyrule may very well be post floodrule, which also means New Hyrule might exist somewhere else to travel to.
Hyrule is basically a three layer cake. Chasm/Surface/Sky.

I’d massively increase the footprint of all the towns and in general the surface of hyrule would be largely safe because you’ve already rescued it long ago. Infrastructure, basic airships. But also shit like Hylian settlements being built with places and comforts for Rito or Zora and ect.
The fun of seeing Hyrule again SHOULD be in seeing it cultivate as you defend it.

Nintendo habitually avoids mention of plot mcguffin style objects not pertinent to the current adventure in some way. The only way that or similar would come back up in any big way is if Nintendo is about to use them again.

True, but consider that the Zonai we get in TotK is refined more than the involvement of the Zonai had been at the time of BotW.
In BotW hints about the Zonai are made more with the purpose of adding mystery without committing to any clear answers. We see a variety of mysterious stuff with purposes we can only guess at.
But the zonai, rauru at least, have been refined by the time they hit TotK and Nintendo narrows down on the mystery and mythos they’re kicking up.
It’s kinda a chekov’s gun situation. They’re not trying to add too much mud to the information of the scenes we’re in.

Frick that how bout just one or two worlds that are actually densely packed with UNIQUE content. The quests and rewards in this game are a huge improvement though.
It is a recurring theme in botw and totk, that Zelda is very adventurous, hands-on, and doesn't want a castle life, so it would be nice to explore an entirely new region with her. Yona is proof that there are other kingdoms around the world and I think that the current map is already exhausted.
If they are going to use the same map, I hope not, I want at least the castle town rebuilt and Zelda's coronation (I want the coronation regardless). The way the sages talked to her in the post-credits ending, it is like they are already accepting her as Hyrule's monarch.

I like that. She turns back, but her eyes don’t change back. From then on she goes out wearing something of a blindfold and the dumb Hylians all think she’s blind but really she just doesn’t have the heart to scare them.
It’d also be in character for it to turn out that after a moment of initial shock, nobody gives a frick about her eyes out of adoration of her.

I didn't expect Nintendo to leave the game on such a bleak ending, but I'm not gonna lie that I did for a second thought it could end on at least a sour note.
I was content with how it ended despite being so obvious she was gonna get back, them letting you catch Zelda while sky diving was such a good emotional sequence. I felt this game had a better closure than BotW, and seeing Zelda being more active in here made her sacrifice much more effective than "she's trapped in Ganon for a century". Her being turned into an immortal dragon just wandering around for eternity with no consciousness was a bit sad.

After a 100 shrines and finishing 4 dungeons I got tired of it and just went for the final boss, I was tired of it.
Everything except fully upgrading all armors. I kept telling myself I'd do everything but Koroks, and then did those anyway. I'll wait till the DLC or something before I grind out the Lizalfos tails and Star bits I need to max everything out.

How do you guys feel about Zelda fanfiction probably written by professional authors?
Played halfway through and got so bored that I stopped playing for a week now.
I've been playing it little by little between work, wife, and kids. I've got about 70+ hours in it, and I just beat the spirit temple, and only have about 20% of the depths cleared. I've only done about 5 side quests. This game is going to keep me busy all summer. And I doubt I will ever 100% it. Mainly because I'm not worried about Koroks past the inventory max.
I've just completed the story mode and a few quests. Planning on doing all of the shrines before the DLC comes out. Don't think I'll collect all of the korok seeds this time.
Still working on it.
Everything that could be done on the overworld is done but I'm still only 25 hours into the depths and maybe half the map is uncovered. Slowly heading up from the bottom working my way back and forth since I know the last story dungeon is at the top.
Nah, probably won't either. I'll just be doing all the parts I find enjoyable, that's enough for me.
