I have all level 90s and hate raidlogging so I unsubbed and uninstalled it for good. The game has 0 I mean 0 RPG elements. Fall Guys has more RPG elements than this game. Gear literally does not matter, it also has nothing unique about it. Every single piece of gear scales exactly the same from level 5 to level 90 just more points into that same stat distribution. So each class doesn't feel unique. Another thing? The classes feel mostly the same. Again, I have all classes at level 90 and I can argue this to death. The classes do not feel unique at all save for a few like Black Mage. The engine is also ancient, you slide around like you are playing a slavic eurojank game. When you cast spells and slide around you see how old this game really is. Most the game is just raid logging at the end, I stayed around for Bozja and Eureka back in the day and enjoyed them but EW just has fuck all to do once you get your classes maxed. Leveling isn't so bad but thats where the only fun in this game really is outside of the main campaign. Only way I could enjoy it was leveling a tank, melee dps, healer, ranged dps, magic and do that in order in a cycle to keep things somewhat fresh so I don't notice how samey all the classes are. This game is one of the most overrated games of all time and worse yet it has such a coping cultist community they will lash out at literally anyone even breathing wrong in the games direction. Look at these threads, when they are done shilling on reddit they come here to shill some more and defend their archaic afk simulator

XVI development prob helped, learned some new modern tech.
I wonder how much of the basis of the XVI stuff they're cramming into XIV. Not the meshes and the texture that's all way too HD of course, but the features. Shit like depth and atmospheric fog (would be very useful for XIV), better material rendering, more "chaotic" and randomized terrain. Some shots in XVI look crazy good because of the environmental effects. If only they could apply a smidgen of that in XIV, it would improve by leaps and bounds on an aesthetic level.

The most important part of it all was that Zenos killed Varis, most of the Legions never responded, and two Legions were present in Garlemald to do the real fighting and noble propping-up. Even then the most immediate result of showing you that another civil war started was to establish timelines had diverted.

It lives and dies by Energy Drain and the stupid bastards have tried to remove it from SCH's kit on more than one occasion, they really don't know what to do with the aether stack system. Sage is a way smarter version of it and even that has its own problems since it can't spend stacks on attacks (it has separate stacks for that)
Im still surprised AST is getting a rework before SCH. AST has its problems but its not nearly as much as a mess as SCH is. People will defend SCH because its "supposed to be complex" but i find that it is complex for the wrong reasons. Its the only job in the game that feels like you're fighting against your own kit and even after they improved fairy responsiveness its still such an obnoxious part of the job.

SGE had the chance to be built from the ground up considering their current encounter design. People will meme on it for being a baby scholar and while that is somewhat true its also a way better designed job.
SCH I think is just one of those designs that won't really "click" for anybody that isn't riding the Energy Drain grind, especially now that its DoT focus was stripped away since it was basically an accident of ACN descent. While I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, I do think it's a bad thing that SCH lives and dies by Energy Drain; not only is it one of those jobs that won't click unless you play it a certain way, it's one of those jobs where the "click" element is both completely central to the job and it really sucks if they get rid of it, and a shit-boring consequence of how much job-gauge SCH generates with nowhere to expend it. It's Dark Arts for SCH in all the worst ways.

Essentially yeah. Skills actually aren't removed from the game because they don't feel like updating old AI scripts (it's way more of a pain in the ass than it's worth), what gets done is they're removed from player skillsets. Hence GC members and job-quest enemies use skills from 2.X, 3.X, 4.X.

The angle in which the light shines from the ceiling lamp is kinda awkward and more importantly the ugly ass window, which I wish was or could be opened. I kinda get that it's supposed to be cold, since it snows in sharlayan, but I really liked being able to see the sky and tell the time in the crystarium inn. I guess it was only really implemented for story reasons in the first place, but I do miss it and also webm related

I got ninja to max and looked at the opener for the first time. Not what I was expecting, since I was pretty casual while leveling and I am not sure if I like it now. I assume people just burn the combo into their muscle memory, right? That makes perfect sense. I guess everyone always expects summoner tier changes, which plays fine at max level in my opinion and I even prefer paladin now than to what it was before. Now the dragoon and astrologian changes with 7.0 will probably bring on a shitstorm and I am curious myself since I like both, but it's hard to imagine how to add things to the current kit, so I can see the reason for changing things up.
I'm really excited for Dragoon to change because I hate how its Jumps work. Especially Dragonfire Dive, it looks like shit and has the impact of a wet turd. It was designed to be this capstone ability where you the Dragoon are actually manifesting a dragon's fire breath, then Geirskogul comes along and not only does the same thing as another capstone ability, it does it way better.
I am scared of Dragoon changes because while I think they could be a bit better, I do enjoy the current DRG playstyle. It flows very well.
My only gripe so far with it is Dragon Sight being janky as fuck.
YoshiP stating that the team finds Dragoon "too busy right now" doesn't inspire a lot of hope.
They could make the abilities more fun and iconic, of course, and add even better movement abilities (I mean, it's fucking Dragoon), but I'm sort of apprehensive for the time being.

Elusive Jump right now is kind of neat for small little tricks if you're good enough, but it's kind of a shit-tier mobility abil for a job that is so about its mobility in the lore.
They literally just gave Reaper elusive jump and then a frontal version on top and they are able to jump back in or out after they perform it.

Toss-up between the abilities being unbalanced in PvE (invincible DRG limit break, AST increasing LB gen, etc) and the abilities sucking dick in PvE (WHM laser beam stun, DRK draw-in, etc)
I do know the Dragoon LB in PvP. I want it as a movement thing. Leap up in the air, crash down, do some AoE damage (not as much as in PvP, of course)
Probably they don't clone the kits from PvP because they're too compact. Only a few buttons.
I expect the flow to be worse, but the handling to be better. Maybe it would be nice for dragon sight to be similar to how dance partner works
They could do that. It would suck if your "dance partner" dies, but the same would apply to most macros for Dragon Sight currently (I have mine on focus target)
So yeah it could be something like Dance Partner, except it doesn't apply constantly. It just assigns a partner and when Dragon Sight is off CD, you can just press it to apply to them without having to switch targets.
Personally I think they'll touch everything but the basic combos since the devs have said they like how Dragoon currently handles. My main points of contention with Dragoon, and what I suspect the devs will touch because I'm egotistical, are

Stardiver is kino and I don't want that gay Estinien to steal it from me. I think the player could take from all wyrms, though. Though I wouldn't mind seeing an Ala Morn or (not sure how to make it work) Akh Morn.

Coerthan Torment is kinda Ala Morn, it uses a very similar spear-swipe animation. Akh Morn I don't think would work, especially with SMN using it. I'd definitely like to see more abilities varied from across the dragons, maybe make your big lv. 99/100 ability something from Midgardsormr.

Reaper feels like it's demoing some ideas for Dragoon at the same time as it's a DPS pass on Dark Knight imo.
Yeah, also hard to compete with stardiver when it comes to jumps. I'm cautiously optimistic, but am expecting that there will some changes that I might not like and some that I do.

Nu-Summoner is super easy right now, but it's a basis they could easily, easily build upon. And it's a superior basis to what we had before, actually being a proper Summoner rather than a dot mage. I hope to see it evolve. If anything, they could at the very least add more phases to it. Ramuh, Leviathan and Shiva phase after Ifrit, Titan and Garuda, at least.
Personally, I'm quite fond of the idea of Summoner being expanded in this way:

Regardless of what happens, the fact that YoshiP said he's kind of locked into wanting regular leveling to stop at 100 at least gives me hope that they'll be able to reshuffle abilities and make the earlier levels a little more engaging than they are now.
