i still have my family's old tv since no one could move it lol, the screen itself is almost 3ft long and the built in speakers are gigantic. no idea why ppl want this wimpy little ones with tin can sounding speakers
as a late 90s zoomer I'm nostalgic for the late 90s since I indirectly grew up with some of the aesthetics and culture that continued into the early-mid 00s (or not due to 9/11 and I'm making shit up). to me the late 90s feel older than the 80s and early 90s maybe because I wasn't exposed to le 80s culture until the internet.

Back in the late 2000s I honestly never met someone who played 7th gen consoles on anything but a CRT in USA. All my IRL friends did and I met some britbong online who played GTA4 on a 10" CRT.
They came out when CRTs were ubiquitous (the first 360 model didn't even have anything but AV out, HDMI came in 2007 models) but by the end of the gen everyone was already using flat screens, games didn't even look properly on CRTs anymore.

Well, duh. They didn't dye their hair like that back then. They did highlights or a few locks of hair, not the whole head unless they were going bottle blond. A girl that was trying hard to be "different" would have gone for cornrolls instead.
I definitely prefer natural hair, and I find brunettes prettier as brunettes. They just hear that blondes are more desirable and want in on that action. I imagine most men are discerning enough to not consider fake blondes to be the same thing as real blondes.
I'd rather they go the other direction and dye their hair black. The goth niche is fairly ignored nowadays.
>enough to not consider fake blondes to be the same thing as real blondes.
it's easy to tell by eye color. if they have brown eyes, 98% chance they're not blonde
god I hope the 90s nostalgia doesn't get big and get ruined and commercialized like the "80s Vice City Hotline Miami neon Cyperpunk purple synthwave" aesthetic.
>90s nostalgia
Dude, kids are already having fricking late 00s nostalgia.
How fricking old are you? I don't even remember the 90s because I was 6 by the time they ended. I'm nearly 30.
I got nostalgia more from the early 00s nearly 10 yrs ago, so kids must be getting nostalgic about the early 10s by now.
I mean actual widely-recognized mainstream nostalgia, not what bunch of kids on tiktok say. We still haven't gotten past the "80s purple retro synthwave" nostalgia yet, and considering Cyberpunk 2077, won't be any time soon.
I kinda feel like the 90s-mid 00s will never have their dicks sucked as much as the 50s and 80s did and their nostalgias will remain centered only around the people that remembered them. 100 years from now people will still talk about the 50s and 80s while the 90s and 00s get forgotten.
and of course, nothing past 2007 will ever be nostalgic...ever.
Clearly haven't been in public and seen metalcore shirts emerging again... in fact that's already passed. Started with covid.
how come I haven't seen any games or any media with 90s or 00s aesthetics then? were are all the retro-inspired stuff like synthwave and vaporwave?
there hasn't been any media inspired by the 90s or 00s yet.
either 90s-00s nostalgia hasn't started, or they weren't as memorable and beloved as the 50s or 80s.
>nothing past 2007 will ever be nostalgic...ever.
That's because tech, fashion and economics came to a halt in 2007 because of the GFC and the cartel monopolising marketing and controlling what you think.
AI is an anomaly.
So is the arab spring and occupy.
Everything else is stagnant because people are too terrified by this Combine-esque world we live in today.
There is no future.
And there is no freedom.
Just slavery.
I'd say it started 2008 but didn't get bad until 2012. late 00s-early 10s imo were peak tech. tech was getting better while still being free and not locked down, and PCs were still the focus instead of smartphones, and W7 and Mountain Lion were peak OS.
how come I haven't seen any games or any media with 90s or 00s aesthetics then?
Clearly because you live in a cave, anon.

I actually do as I don't keep up with this shit, but if something is big I should've heard of it by now.
tell me any media with 90s and 00s aesthetics as big and popular as Vice CIty, Hotline Miami, Cyberpunk 2077, synthwave, vaporwave, etc.
no, I don't care about what some homosexuals feel nostalgic for tiktok. I'm talking about an ACTUAL widely-recognized massive nostalgia movement like the 50s or 80s had.
and 00s nostalgia will forever be wienerblocked from happening by 2008-2009

Did you just ignore GTA5 or GTA6 that's coming out?
Or resident evil?
Or Metal Gear Solid?
>how come I haven't seen any games or any media with 90s or 00s aesthetics then?
Have you not seen the countless revivals/remakes of early 00s franchises like Resident Evil or Silent Hill?
Or how GTA5 and GTA6 resemble GTASA and GTAVC?
Hell, look at Dead Space. Look at the Halo HD remasters (going on for nearly 10 yrs now). I was shocked how bad the original Halo2 looked compared to how it felt in my mind as a kid.
They even brought back Cod Modern Warfare for a remake. MW2 came out in 2009.
Where have you been old man? 2004 was 20 years ago.
Anonymous
well even 2010s games are getting remade and remastered, by your logic 2010s are nostalgic now? just because some shit from then is getting remade doesn't mean the 00s is getting an actual nostalgia movement
the 80s were so chad it became nostalgic and beloved by the late 90s.
meanwhile the 00s still have to be split into parts because nobody wants to bother with 2008-2009, to the point that the term "early 00s" is now being used to mean "the entire decade minus 2008-2009"
Did you just ignore GTA5 or GTA6 that's coming out?
Or resident evil?
Or Metal Gear Solid?
Are you living in a box.
GTA 6 is never coming out and GTA 5 is just a GTA Online bootloader.

>by your logic 2010s are nostalgic now?
I agree a lot with this.
It's highly nostalgic to me.
Just look at how anon values early 10s chan now. Early 10s chan was a spammy shitfest, but people praise it for it's soul now.

I did.
It was my late childhood and early-mid teens.
I was nostalgic for 2010 5 years ago, dude.
meant to say the tech of the late 00s-early 10s
I'm a zoomer so I also "grew up" with it (even though I don't have nostalgia for post-2007 media).

>early 10s had pretty awesome internet culture
Up until 2016 it was pretty good.
Then governments and corporations felt threatened in the same way they felt threatened by occupy.
So they've been paying literal homosexuals to spam on forums for nearly a decade now.
Because that's how protection rackets run in the present. Freedom of speech is dead and people are mere slaves now.
Posting here will eventually kill you unless you are a paid shill with a set up network and capital to avoid data tracing. No doubt.

>Freedom of speech is dead and people are mere slaves now.
freedom of speech was always a meme. the only times it actually existed was when america wasn't actually threatened
in WWII you would get fricked and lose your job and go to jail for supporting nazis or communists
9 months ago
Anonymous
>freedom of speech was always a meme.
To a degree, but it's becoming much much more restricted thanks to covid.
It was more a goalpost.
Though nowadays people are rejecting that goalpost because they're marketed and indoctrinated by multi-billion dollar conglomerates and their cooperating government agencies to push for the rejection of free speech and their own slavery. They're like masochists being programmed to kill themselves through operant conditioning.

it was always a boiling frog
>I support free speech! >I support free speech even if I don't agree with it and think people I dislike should still be allowed to express themselves >I support free speech but hate speech is not free speech >I WANT TO CANCEL AND KILL EVERYONE WHO DOESN'T AGREE WITH ME
free speech was a mem, and the left realized it before the right, which is why they used free speech to get into power and censor it
9 months ago

Power and censorship is also a meme though.
I guess they never learned that. Big mistake.
It's just a meme when it's convenient for their cult satisfaction tendencies.
Otherwise I just call it "accepting slavery because you're a cuck and you masochistically enjoy being raped".
>tech was getting better
No even as a teens people at school were commenting on how games from 2010 seemed not much better than 2005 games.
You forget how fast development happened up until around 2005. We went from snes to Xbox 360 in a decade dude. Even teens notice how little was developed since 2005.
Sure it's more polished now, but many argue that games are worse gameplay wise today because the market is so monopolised and the little guys just don't have the capacity to create games the smaller "big" companies of the early 00s made.
Capitalism is just dead dead now. All it's doing is stagnating the economy now. It's literally driving up inflation based on bullshit financial debt arrangements now. It's not even relevant to consumer interests because people are no longer the consumer. You ain't buying.
>nothing past 2007 will ever be nostalgic...ever.

true culture stopped evolving after WWII. all the post-WWII "culture" was fake and manufactured consoomer garbage. real culture lasts for thousands of years and doesn't die in 10 years.
Do zoomers ever do anything without seeking validation from other people/the internet?
It's ok, you weren't born in the 90s. You don't need to try and fit in by buying a bunch of CRTs.
>Do zoomers ever do anything without seeking validation from other people/the internet?
pretty sure normies from any period seeked validation. it's a normal part of society
and millennials weren't any better in that regard being 30 year old nintendo redditor bugmen.
Millenials and Zoomers are a literally election meme made and designed by sophisticated rackets and deliberately marketed to influence politics and markets. Any divisional categorisation of this sort can and will be used to control how people think.
That's why "ok boomer" emerged around 2016. Literal psyop d&c that paid agents were spamming all over the internet because the internet lost the dems an election and some people a FRICKTONNE of money.
People had crts until 2013ish though. Sure they became rare by then, but people were well aware of them and let their kids use them for things like the wii or older consoles.
Some of those kids are only teens.
Now flash gaming from the dialup era - now that's a relic.
We got a CRT flat screen tv waaaaay back in 2003.
Humoungous.
So fricking heavy too. Weighed a tonne.
Literally threw it away by 2007, got an lcd with full hd. Got a GIANT plasma around 2008ish. That thing lasted until 2021 in the house when my parents replaced it with an OLED.
OLED had problems literally by 2022 and the only reason my parents haven't replaced it is because of how expensive TVs are now. They're suddenly very expensive again because of monopolies on the market and because tech is now just getting shitter. GFC killed any positive innovation in capitalism. Since then it's been nothing but standardisation and think tank cartels calling the shots on "safe design" (though really they are a racket).
Friend of mine at the time had one of those huge plasma ones in the early 2000s, I think it was plasma at least. I don't know if it was actually HD or not but when your screen is like 80 inches or something 1080 still looks awful anyway. Still it must've been awesome having a screen that huge, we didn't really get to use it for games until way late in it's lifetime though. Think they threw it out only a year or two after we were able to use it ourselves, damn shame.
We actually needed that plasma badly because the tv was so far away from the screen in our games room.
We used to have a sony trinitron, tiny fricker, in that room around 2001ish. How we managed to see anything on that screen with that distance is beyond me.
That was reasonably sized back then too.
TVs became gigantic in the 00s. People went from 1 family CRT of that size, to giant enormous full HD LCDs, Plasmas and LEDs in the 00s. It's actually crazy how TV development was for that period.
>tonnes of radiation >potential tumours from CRT camera users in the 80s and 90s that "definitely did not come from the CRT tech" that is being ignored due to rampant lobbying and legal threats against complainants.
CRTs are fricking dangerous as frick.
Chances are, your OLEDs are pretty bad for your eyes too.
>while the late 00s-early 10s were great, it's not nostalgic and doesn't have an "aesthetic"
That's because you didn't grow up in that era.
I did.
It was my late childhood and early-mid teens.
90s nostalgia is hard because there wasn't much of a general 90s sense of style. It was what, regular clothes but baggy? (And I say this as an old gay who was a kid back then.) Sure, grunge had a distinctive style, there was that Matrix style by the end of the decade, but in general 90s style is kind of ordinary. Distinctive in that you can still tell it apart, but ordinary all the same.
Not to mention, a lot of wider 90s culture was that sort of bitter, disillusioned GenX culture that few people really want to go back to. Few people really want to go back to dirty dark grunge rock or the depressing writing of something like Douglas Coupland's Life After God. Only hipsters will dip their toes into things like Infinite Jest. No normal person goes beyond Fight Club.
>Sure, grunge had a distinctive style, there was that Matrix style by the end of the decade, but in general 90s style is kind of ordinary.
Oh and nu metal with it's BLAME-esque ness?
And teen sitcom chic?
And techno/trance/eurodance?
Heaps of character in the late 90s.
The early 90s was just 70s revival.
Late 00s had scene kids, emo, flash gangsta shit (we call it swag now), metalcore and "indie" fashion emerged around 2009 and shaped the early 10s, until trap and vapor started to eat away at it by 2016ish.
Early 20s was Zion-chic and metalcore revival. And now it's just "slave-chic" because it's all kids can afford and people keep appearances in the big brother world or risk starving now.
God, the 20s are hell. The most tormented period in human history since WWII. Worse in some ways, psychological operation wise.
>Oh and nu metal with it's BLAME-esque ness?
edgelord angsty teen shit with no substance. nobody older than 15 listens to that shit >And teen sitcom chic?
cringe >And techno/trance/eurodance?
trance is based but repetitive, techno is annoying and eurodance is gay girly sissy shit.
>The early 90s was just 70s revival.
which is based because 70s rock was best rock. early 90s failed to capture the 70s but still got its own cool aesthetic, and bands like Nirvana and AIC have actual good music with substance that will be remembered years down the line unlike the GRRR I'M ANGRY FRICK YOU MOM AND DAD angsty shit after 1996.
>God, the 20s are hell. The most tormented period in human history since WWII. Worse in some ways, psychological operation wise.
funny enough, the 20s were also the worst decade of the 20th century. history repeats itself.
>it's officially called "Progressive Rock"

70s rock was great, but you're going to have to reply with some albums that compare to the likes of Powerslave by Iron Maiden, Screaming for Vengeance by Judas Priest, Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath, Wheels of Steel by Saxon, Restless and Wild by Accept, and I'm sure I can come up with other albums with more time.

I guess, yeah, this sort of Cyberdog stuff was a thing. Rave was probably more important, at least in Europe.
>Few people really want to go back to dirty dark grunge rock or the depressing writing of something like Douglas Coupland's Life After God.
Yeah because you'd lose your slave wage if you did that. The 20s are literal big brother hell where people are literally shaping fashion to leave a "fashion footprint" so their government and major corps don't destroy their lives now.
You and I don't care about that because we're already fricked though.
>Mfw I played my 360 and ps3 on a crt >Remember playing gears 3 with bros in highschool
Still feels weird how not that long ago that was.
I don't miss crts. The only thing I miss is that blurry mess when playing old Vidya. I can't play PS2 and below without some kind of blurry ntsc filter.
When did I say I'm young. I know I'm old. Hell I told this one coworker who liked me I was too old for her she was 19. And for some reason she and her friends gave me shit for turning her down. Bro I'm not a pedo.
Not only are you an old homosexual.
But you rejected teen pussy because you clearly are an actual homosexual and then tried to divert from your pussy behaiviour by pretending "it was because I was too old for them". You should really have a nice day my man. There's no hope for you.
>buy a huge new computer CRT second-hand from an internet cafe I used to go to >barely fits on my desk and the screen is a lot closer to my face >makes my room hot as frick
I hate that zoomies take something like playing on CRT tvs and make it trendy. I used to hate mine and had to hit it on the side to make the fricker work
Had 40 inch CRT or something of that size in my room as a kid. Heavy as all hell obviously, but it made a high pitched, just perceivable enough whine to drive me up the fricking wall whenever my brother left it on at night before going to bed.
It was probably the sweetest time to experience videogames and cartoons as a kid, along with some of the internet boom that went hand in hand with it. It lead to high expectations for the future.
Maybe these less awesome times will make a possible brighter tomorrow taste sweeter.
I won't argue that the 40s-60s cartoons were better in terms of quality, but presentation, merchandising, hype, etc. were much more elaborate later, while still maintaining proper animation.
>It lead to high expectations for the future.
the expectations were all fake as the west was in decline since 1913. I'm glad 9/11 woke people up. hopefully we can have a REAL bright future like before the french revolution
Our TVs in the 90s were bigger than those bitesize mini things
Heavy as shit, too. An accident with a massive CRT gimped my leg.
And people complain their flatscreen is heavy.

And you needed a really deep desk unless you didn't mind the thing being right in your face.

I have literal nostalgia for scene emos and late 00s metalcore already.
Oh and late 00s dnb.
And the xbox 360.
People are already over 90s and early 00s nostalgia. That's come and gone.
how come I haven't seen any games or any media with 90s or 00s aesthetics then? were are all the retro-inspired stuff like synthwave and vaporwave?
there hasn't been any media inspired by the 90s or 00s yet.
either 90s-00s nostalgia hasn't started, or they weren't as memorable and beloved as the 50s or 80s.
Are you living in a box.
>how come I haven't seen any games or any media with 90s or 00s aesthetics then?
Have you not seen the countless revivals/remakes of early 00s franchises like Resident Evil or Silent Hill?
Or how GTA5 and GTA6 resemble GTASA and GTAVC?
Hell, look at Dead Space. Look at the Halo HD remasters (going on for nearly 10 yrs now). I was shocked how bad the original Halo2 looked compared to how it felt in my mind as a kid.
They even brought back Cod Modern Warfare for a remake. MW2 came out in 2009.
Where have you been old man? 2004 was 20 years ago.
well even 2010s games are getting remade and remastered, by your logic 2010s are nostalgic now? just because some shit from then is getting remade doesn't mean the 00s is getting an actual nostalgia movement
the 80s were so chad it became nostalgic and beloved by the late 90s.
meanwhile the 00s still have to be split into parts because nobody wants to bother with 2008-2009, to the point that the term "early 00s" is now being used to mean "the entire decade minus 2008-2009"
GTA 6 is never coming out and GTA 5 is just a GTA Online bootloader.
>by your logic 2010s are nostalgic now?
I agree a lot with this.
It's highly nostalgic to me.
Just look at how anon values early 10s chan now. Early 10s chan was a spammy shitfest, but people praise it for it's soul now.
yeah late 00s-early 10s had pretty awesome internet culture, but nothing outside of that
while the late 00s-early 10s tech were great, it's not nostalgic and doesn't have an "aesthetic"
meant to say the tech of the late 00s-early 10s
I'm a zoomer so I also "grew up" with it (even though I don't have nostalgia for post-2007 media).
>late 00s-early 10s had pretty awesome internet culture
Sorry, Zoomer. This was already way past the peak.
it was that sweet spot when stuff like video media playback and flash games where popular and before normies and thirdies flooded the internet. social media shit existed but didn't kill off the old internet "yet" and fun was still allowed on the internet.
>early 10s had pretty awesome internet culture
Up until 2016 it was pretty good.
Then governments and corporations felt threatened in the same way they felt threatened by occupy.
So they've been paying literal homosexuals to spam on forums for nearly a decade now.
Because that's how protection rackets run in the present. Freedom of speech is dead and people are mere slaves now.
Posting here will eventually kill you unless you are a paid shill with a set up network and capital to avoid data tracing. No doubt.
>Freedom of speech is dead and people are mere slaves now.
freedom of speech was always a meme. the only times it actually existed was when america wasn't actually threatened
in WWII you would get fricked and lose your job and go to jail for supporting nazis or communists
>freedom of speech was always a meme.
>I support free speech even if I don't agree with it and think people I dislike should still be allowed to express themselves
>I support free speech but hate speech is not free speech
>I WANT TO CANCEL AND KILL EVERYONE WHO DOESN'T AGREE WITH ME
free speech was a mem, and the left realized it before the right, which is why they used free speech to get into power and censor it
Power and censorship is also a meme though.
I haven't seen any post-2007 nostalgia anywhere. in fact, the barrier for nostalgia hadn't moved past 2007 for over 10 years.
Clearly haven't been in public and seen metalcore shirts emerging again... in fact that's already passed. Started with covid.
That's because, due to smartphones and the GFC, that's when mass culture stopped evolving.
true culture stopped evolving after WWII. all the post-WWII "culture" was fake and manufactured consoomer garbage. real culture lasts for thousands of years and doesn't die in 10 years.
I agree. Pop culture is nothing but marketed cults with obscene levels of psychological manipulation by the system.
Though ironically it was Grunge that taught me that, then later metalcore and hip hop.
And dystopian horror movies.
Advertising has existed for hundreds of years. You simply don't know enough history if you think "consumers" are a new thing.
modern advertising only since the industrial revolution
Eh. My hope for the world died 2012. There's a 5 year buffer there where I still felt great joy and made a lot of memories.
>mom died in 2012
>world went to shit immediately after
>Dude, kids are already having fricking late 00s nostalgia.
What are you on about, early 00s was nearly te-
frick...
100 years will pass and the late 00s aren't nostalgic
00s nostalgia wienerblocked by 2008-2009
I don't know. I got my first console in 2000.
It was a super nintendo or something.
Then an N64 a year later.
Then a PS2 another year later.
Then no consoles until the wii came out.
Millennials weren't using social media to seek validation like zoomies do, mostly because it didn't exist yet.
Oldest millennials was 28 when Facebook launched in 2008. 23 if you look at MySpace. You’re not that old dumb homosexual
This is how capitalism works.
It's just a racket.
People had crts until 2013ish though. Sure they became rare by then, but people were well aware of them and let their kids use them for things like the wii or older consoles.
Some of those kids are only teens.
Now flash gaming from the dialup era - now that's a relic.
You are now aware that there is nostalgia already for fricking vaporwave, which began around 2010ish.
lain if real
>Attention prostitute: a la nerd hobbies
These have been a thing since the beginning of time
We didn't have a flat-screen TV in my house until 2011. My dad did get himself a flat-screen monitor in 2007 for CoD4 though.
It's actually crazy how TV development was for that period.
throw the TV away and become a monitor chad.
>natural colors, no oversaturated crap
>smaller screen means higher PPI
>better response times
>no smart shit
>cheaper
>tonnes of radiation
>potential tumours from CRT camera users in the 80s and 90s that "definitely did not come from the CRT tech" that is being ignored due to rampant lobbying and legal threats against complainants.
CRTs are fricking dangerous as frick.
Chances are, your OLEDs are pretty bad for your eyes too.
>crt tv collection
lol the frick
I had a crt tv for my consoles and a monitor for my pc.
>while the late 00s-early 10s were great, it's not nostalgic and doesn't have an "aesthetic"
That's because you didn't grow up in that era.
I did.
It was my late childhood and early-mid teens.
I was nostalgic for 2010 5 years ago, dude.
B-BUT BUT MU WHY TOOO KAAAAAYY AESTHETIC DA 90S DID HAVE AN AESTHETIC IT'S TOTALLY NOT ZOOMER TIKTOK REVISIONISM
>Oh and nu metal with it's BLAME-esque ness?
edgelord angsty teen shit with no substance. nobody older than 15 listens to that shit
>And teen sitcom chic?
cringe
>And techno/trance/eurodance?
trance is based but repetitive, techno is annoying and eurodance is gay girly sissy shit.
>70s rock was best rock.
Oh you mean "dadrock".
Although it's now "grandpa-rock"
Or "old people's music".
Wow you must be new here.
it's officially called "Progressive Rock"
the golden age of rock music. when most rock bands where British who knew their shit
>it's officially called "Progressive Rock"
Actually dad rock is "grunge" nowadays so I guess "grandpa-rock" is more correct nowadays.
You sound like a 12 yr old who just discovered Pink Floyd.
70s rock was peak rock
60s rock was just acid psychedelic hippie shit
80s rock is just gay hair metal and thrash shit by edgelords
early 90s rock was ok but very nihilistic
late 90s-mid 00s rock is just gay angsty teen shit with no substance.
Rock is old people's music.
Metal and punk replaced it decades ago, along with hip hop and electronic music.

This is just some random label. Try and explain it.
>techno/trance/eurodance
I guess, yeah, this sort of Cyberdog stuff was a thing. Rave was probably more important, at least in Europe.
>Hybrid Theory was already post-millennium
2000 was the 90s
>Few people really want to go back to dirty dark grunge rock or the depressing writing of something like Douglas Coupland's Life After God.
Yeah because you'd lose your slave wage if you did that. The 20s are literal big brother hell where people are literally shaping fashion to leave a "fashion footprint" so their government and major corps don't destroy their lives now.
You and I don't care about that because we're already fricked though.

Bros... I'm in love...
>Tfw no cute depressed sad zoomer girl who loves lain
I'm a 94s boy. Am I a zoomer.
>Mfw I played my 360 and ps3 on a crt
>Remember playing gears 3 with bros in highschool
Still feels weird how not that long ago that was.
I don't miss crts. The only thing I miss is that blurry mess when playing old Vidya. I can't play PS2 and below without some kind of blurry ntsc filter.
You're nearly middle aged.
Frick off with this "I'm young" shit.
You're an old homosexual.
God damn this thread is full of so many out of touch people.
Bro. Date women your own age.
I like women a few years older than me. don't care what "le based redpilled "alpha males"" say
Frick off homosexual.
Women my age are old and their wombs are already running the course of time.
How fricking new are you?
Why would I choose an old roasty for "moral reasons" when I can seek a fertile teen mare to mount?
Are you actually gay?
except you won't marry them. you'll just pump them and move on to the next like a degenerate
Actually I'll just probably ignore them because real women bore me.
Only morons focus solely on console games.
>buy a huge new computer CRT second-hand from an internet cafe I used to go to
>barely fits on my desk and the screen is a lot closer to my face
>makes my room hot as frick
good times
I hate that zoomies take something like playing on CRT tvs and make it trendy. I used to hate mine and had to hit it on the side to make the fricker work
well too bad we're still in the shit era of LCDs unil QLEDs or MicroLEDs become popular.
Had 40 inch CRT or something of that size in my room as a kid. Heavy as all hell obviously, but it made a high pitched, just perceivable enough whine to drive me up the fricking wall whenever my brother left it on at night before going to bed.
>tfw you will never experience the 90s
>tfw you will see the west collapse and rebuild from the ashes
It was probably the sweetest time to experience videogames and cartoons as a kid, along with some of the internet boom that went hand in hand with it. It lead to high expectations for the future.
Maybe these less awesome times will make a possible brighter tomorrow taste sweeter.
I'd argue the vidya was the only medium that stands out in the 90s

I won't argue that the 40s-60s cartoons were better in terms of quality, but presentation, merchandising, hype, etc. were much more elaborate later, while still maintaining proper animation.
>It lead to high expectations for the future.
the expectations were all fake as the west was in decline since 1913. I'm glad 9/11 woke people up. hopefully we can have a REAL bright future like before the french revolution
Did everyone just suddenly get recommended this video?
