I assumed Search Soul was super nerfed by no longer being associated with the Invis element. I mean, that's definitely true but I guess it works for you
Losing invis element in exchange for Magnum, circgun and MrkCannons is a fair trade, especially magnums. Also you get the super busted DarkCircle.
>is it that bad?
Shit netcode that does the ancient method of synchronized inputs (lagging player = you both have delayed inputs), and there's zero cheat prevention since the game logic was to always trust what the other player was reporting they got hit by or what card effects they're using.
Honestly is not that bad. I've played a bunch of pvp in the steam port and your inputs go fine, with barely noticeable delays.
As long as your opponent is not japanese though, I had a few that took two full seconds to get my inputs working.
It's more powerful actually because now it uses offensive chips like CircGun and Magnum.
Invis chips are very strong but true power is to git gud at dodging so you can drop any lameass defense chips.
The flaws are worse when trying to speed run the series.
I liked coming back to it. It feels like you get to fight boss Navis more often and getting full synchro after dodging and landing hits quickly feels pretty great.
slightly dislike. The liberation missions are neat overall but it feels bad not getting battle rewards from all the fights during them. Other than that I recall feeling annoyed at having to go back to the drill multiple times and S feeling like the best letter by far throughout the entire game.
All GBA releases, and the online is fricked due to fragmentation between games. They couldn't be arsed to create a hub that covered all 6 games that interacted with your saves of the individual games to know what you can trade/battle with.
I didn't even bother to check any of the online features yet, is it that bad? Apparently they're running tourneys on the switch version so at least the battling seems to be ok.

I like it.
I do like Team Protoman better though
Knight/Tomahawk+ToadChaos cheese gets old quickly.
By the way, anyone playing Colonel on Steam that has navi records to compare?
Like. 4 is the one i hate. Liberation Missions were neat puzzles and playing as different navis was a really cool addition, as was the team mixing in DT.
5s main issue is coming on the heels of 4 and not being as bombastic as 6 coupled with 1 getting "First Entry" forgiveness it just has a ha5rd time getting a good ranking in the series over all, even though it is a enjoyable game (unlike 4).
It's my favourite in the series. Liberation missions are great and folder variety ain't as bad as I remember it being. You can pull off good L, C and M code folders. S is still king though.
i was almost about to commit to shadow style in bn3, but what the frick, charge shot invis is the only integrated ability it has? even antidmg is a navicust ability. piece of trash
Liberation Missions were pretty fun. Could've maybe used some expansion. I guess they didn't want to make a proper SRPG spinoff because BCC poisoned the well on spinoffs for BN.
Arguably competes for the best entry with MMBN3. I like it
MY FAVORITE VIDEO GAMES ARE BETTER THAN YOURS
WHAT THE FRICK WAS COA THINKING?!
For me it's chaos knight
it's alright, might need to replay them but currently:
3 -> 6-> 2-> 5-> 1-> 4
It was fine, but I'm pretty sure its my least played game in the series. I'll get around to playing the remaster at some point.
I liked it. Search Soul is super busted in Team Protoman and it feels great to finally make a liberation mission folder that can 1-turn encounters.

Least enjoyable entry that I played. I don't like Liberation Missions.
I got burnt out after MMBN1 in that recent Collection, so I can't say just yet. Might have to pace myself at one of these games per couple months.
I played 4 multiple times as a kid and don't get the hate
I think a lot of the hate is pretty easy to grasp, anon, so I don't know what to tell you

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Hope you kept a backup

Does the legacy collection have the DS version on it?
lolno
It doesn't even contain any fixes or extras? That sucks.

Looking for someone to trade my Bowlman chips for the Mistman one's on the switch.
Does the collection have any good mod yet or is still the scam of the decade?

D and Y are pretty decent too.

Yea. It kinda sucks. I think adding a weapon lvl+ puts it back on regular charge shots.
I'm replaying them all right now and currently for me its 3>5>2>1>4.
