you are more then fine you will run that at 60fps easy same with 1440p and shit it will even do 4k if you understand how to play with settings and use the upscaler like fsr or rsr

Yeah but this is Bethesda we're talking about, not exactly known for optimization

        Anonymous

That would effect GPU (resolution) performance rather than CPU, which is more of my concern.
The Series X equivalent CPU is roughly a 3700x, which isn't far off from a 5600x. And CPU limits are almost 100% the reason they're not pushing for 60fps

      >fallout reskin

This is so moronic. Starfield looks like more substantial an iteration in Bethesda games than 90% of sequels or new franchises produced by other studios today. Just because it evolves the same mechanics does not make it a "fallout reskin", especially when the worst elements of Fallout 4 (shit tier dialogue, annoying voiced character with forced background and backdrop, total narrative disconnect with the world and gameplay mechanics, etc.) all appear to be gone

Yeah I remember when you Black folk said the same about Cyberpunk, where not only was it a pile of shit to the point its redemption is taking a massive overhaul three years past launch, but even richgays with R/i9s, 3090s and Gen 4 NVMe drives at the time were having it stutter and struggle to keep 60fps.

The fact this full-priced AAA game is expected to be hard to run on decent hardware is a fricking joke and an indictment on its poor quality. It's not a compliment to Bethesda, it's proof of their archaic, antiquated technologies and their utter ineptitude in implementing them properly.

I always go for the moronic oddball cards that literally no one asked for and aren't even competitive price wise.
      >why
The demand for them is functionally 0 meanwhile the supply is greater than 0. Whoever is holding them in a warehouse knows they're wasting space so when they go on sale they go on SALE. During their sale period they become the highest value/dollar you will ever see, sometimes going lower than a different second hand card which performed comparatively worse when it was new.

wtf are you talking about lmao, 3060ti is 21% faster than a 1080ti. and 3080 is 70% faster than a 1080ti.

and still can't get a stable 60 fps at 4k with dlss (so technically 2k) for $8-900

I suggest grabbing a 4060 ti from newegg for $500 which just came out before the scalpers harvest all of them and drive the price up to $700, then you're getting a 1080 ti for $500, which is where the industry was 6 years ago

Aside from the 40 series being a massive disaster and complete failure to advance performance for a reasonable price 4060 ti is the first card released in the last 6 years to rival 1080p 1080 ti performance for $500

is there something I don't know about them blowing up or...

                1. look up inflation

DLSS? You mean the card rendering the piece of shit unoptimized trash at a lower resolution so devs don't have to optimize their games?

Please tell me there's another reason for this feature than to try and get poorly optimized games to run better by taking an axe to the resolution (which you can do without DLSS)

                Anonymous

If you'd ever actually used DLSS before you'd know it looks nearly identical to native res, especially in 4K with the quality setting where it usually looks better than native due to replacing worse looking TAA for antialiasing. I turn it on in every game I can even if performance is otherwise very good because it still boosts things by at least 30-40% normally and improves the image more than I've seen it hurt it.

                >DLSS looks nearly identical
4k? That's another meme, the fact that you defend DLSS which is basically lowering your resolution to 2k for a "fake" 4k means you can't even tell the difference, right?

Imagine paying 2-3 times as much for a card so you can play fake 4k for no noticeable fps increase over 60, what an absolute scam for morons

I've got more than enough money to build the best gaming pc money can buy many times over, I jsut don't see a reason to when the industry has literally been running in place for 6-7 years and literally only in the last 3 weeks has another gaming GPU been released that delivers the same performance of GOATed cards from 6-7 years ago for a reasonable ($500) price.

There is absolutely no excuse available that brand new $500-$1400 cards shouldn't be vastly outperforming 6-7 year old cards at 1080p

Because I know what value is and that infuriates you, doesn't mean the industry isn't an absolute trashfire

                >especially in 4k
you mean only in 4k cause in everyhing else NATIVE is simply better, and then AGAIN, DLSS looks " better " because native AA is shit in everygame. but at 1080p(lol) and 1440p DLSS is not that great.

Yeah its not locked to 60 but its hard to tell how much that transfers over to a full BGS game. Like are modders going to find an easier method to make Starfield multiplayer, because of underlying FO76 gruntwork?
