I'm a huge digimon fan and can't get into any of the DS story games. The massive grind and your digimon not even having a sprite during battle kill them for me.
>Clearly Digimon World, upon revisiting it, isn’t some hidden gem or underappreciated classic. It belongs nowhere near the pantheon of great fifth generation games, and doesn’t even measure up to its peers of the monster raising genre—Monster Rancher had a more innovative and less annoying raising system, and Pokémon is a juggernaut that eclipses the former two franchises
The main issue with the Digimon franchise is that, while most of these games cater to long-time fans but they can be terrible for newcomers. Take Dawn/Dusk, for example. it's just a shitty game overall. Even the Cyber Sleuth games don't make a great first impression at all. The story is weak, dungeons are poorly designed, and gameplay lacks freedom until you're about 60% in when you get more options to buy Farm Goods and training your Digimon. Plus, the game doesn't bother explaining how the ABI stat works, leaving newcomers struggling to figure out how to evolve their Digimon to the Mega state. Next Order might seem like a good option for newbies but people are not used to dealing with their mons having a lifespan so they mostly drop the game for good right after their first or second Digimon dies
Its very good and I'd say its mechanically deeper than CS
also I remember it having a cool UI for battle and digivolution tree
I like Data Squad. Reviewers shit on it but it's got a cool battle system and visuals.
Reminds me of Rogue Galaxy or Dark Cloud 2, that sort of Gen 6 RPG.
I know Adventure is the only thing the common nerd knows about Digimon but can we just force them to learn some of the rest? I get this has a "juxtaposition lmao" thing going on but it doesn't have to be so fricking blatant. They just made a bunch of cop dinosaur digimon and popular guys like beelzemon would work in this.
Fortnite is already absurd. You're in a team with John Cena while Master Chief and Peter Griffin are shooting at you with Master of Puppets playing in the background while you're shooting back at them with the guns from Metal Gear Solid while also running towards a Ninja Turtle manhole to hide in.
>JP only >JP only >JP only >JP only >JP only remake of a JP only title >JP only and a shit game adaptation of Adventure's plot >implying All Star Rumble is actually good >main draw is the horny character designs and that's it >only really good if you liked the first one, and also liked the horny character designs >relies heavily on nostalgia factor for DW1, also >Meicoomon having plot relevance >"Hey what if we rehashed the plot of Digimon Adventure, but took out all of the whimsy, while making a shitty strategy game?"
>didn't post DW1 and DW3 the best ones
If they're so good then why don't they have 11 hour YouTube essays?
>a bunch of asiatic shit and a smash clone
Nice dogshit, moron.
Digimon has a good game and you post all that garbage instead. What a moron you are.
All-star rumble is terrible. Remove it at once.
hey now
hey now what? I thought it was very bland.
you're an all star
frick me, lol
The only good thing it has are the models.
-y sex OP is gay.

The DS games are junk. Only Lost Evolution is passable.
partially false
The UI alone is enough to close the game.

People are deranged.
>Pokemon gud is because.. just is ok??
I hate sheep
473 TRAINER BATTLES
Why would you count Pokemon in this conversation? You don't raise jack shit in it.
If you count EV training, it definitely has Raising elements, for sure
No it doesn't. That's like saying Dragon Quest is a people-raising game because of the stat seeds.
shut up
No, I won't. Improper labels are a real pet peeve of mine.
>Yasuda is involved with all the good games
JUST LET HIM DO MORE HAPPY BOOBS PLEASE
>cyber shit
>good
No good games? Yeah.
Did you think your picture proved anything?
wow whatta internet tough guy
fight me in the colloseum then we'll see
Cyber Sleuth, Next Order, and Survive are all fun games.
You find reading bad dialogue fun?
Prove it’s bad dialogue. You can’t. You lose.

All true. Digimon is the ultimate, "It gets good halfway in" series.
>the game doesn't bother explaining how the ABI stat works
You'll learn naturally by devolving them and seeing it increase.
Most newcomers approach this series with Pokegays logic, they don't even consider devolving is an option
They don't have to consider it, they'll be messing with that wondering why they can't evolve further and find out they can devolve.
You'd be surprised how many won't and just give up.
ABI isn't really explained. There's not even like a "ABI Up!" prompt when devolving.
I want him in a game already.
Decode on non-moronic format when
Frick Nintendo and their dual screen meme
>Not including the first rumble arena and world trilogy
Only the 3 first from picrel are good the rest is trash, develop some taste or kys.
behold the only good digimon games
Yep, those are good, never played data squad though.

The fook is that one on the right?
The jp cover for Rumble Arena
dusk/dawn was breddy good
-mes.
None of those is good.
Looking good, Digimon.

This is where I genuinely think Didimon will end up after Palworld and Fortnite.
Digimon Seeker kinda get close to it, with all the police stuff
if Digimon ever made it into Fornite, I may tried for once just too see the absurdity of it.

fricking Black person
The only ones who post that are people that aren't Digimon fans in the first place.
