I havent played yokai watch or cassette beasts because im too old to get into another childrens franchise, but i dont want original designs i want the feeling of exploring. I want a giant map that is literally a more overgrown version of the wild area in SS, i want less healers that stand around and heal you for free and more focus on camping for healing and bonding with your bros. I want the option to take established routes to each city and catch mons by the side of the road, or venture off the path deep into the wilderness to hunt rare pokemon.
SV is kind of like this, but everything is too open. Theres no foliage to speak of and a path is always a stones throw away and theres no real incentive to picnic outside of minmaxing fricking sandwiches to hunt mons
