It's a new set, so you have to earn it all over again from Fenrir. Fortunately, Fenrir is getting nerfed, and you'll get more consistently high-quality relics at higher difficulty, so it's not all bad.

I'm probably missing something crucial, but what exactly are ripple dimensions? I've encountered 3 total just to fight a rare-tier esper to get 5 ripples which isn't even enough to make them
basically you get ripples of an esper. if you collect enough (30 for 3 star, 40 for 4 star), you can summon them. each dimension gives 5 ripples for 3 star and 8 ripples for 4 star. There are two unique espers solely obtained by ripple - Ye Suhua (3s) and Dhalia (4s - the only 4s)

Gotcha. I didn't know you could get 4s too. I figured they're way too uncommon for what's essentially a record spin with extra steps. Maybe if they're all shimmers or something
as I said there's only one 4s (Dhalia) and she's a purple. Also if you're in Infinite Miracle server go to channel 100 (Chinese channel) since they spawn ripples so quickly.
Ripple Dimensions are basically character dungeons. As you run any of the miracles like Ritual or Sonic, there is a rare chance you will open a Ripple Dimension for any given character. Inside a Ripple, you can fight the Esper in question a number of times to receive character shards for that Esper; collect enough shards, and you can summon that Esper directly. These ripples can be accessed by anyone, as long as they accessed the link that opens it for them. A ripple will be open for 1 hour; you, your friends and clubmates get first dibs on the ripple, and after 15 minutes, the link to the Ripple is automatically shared to the general public with whatever global channel you're in. There's a maximum limit in how many people can access any given ripple, which is why people get so torn up about Dhalia and Ye Suhua ripples - those fill up almost instantly when shared to the public, since the Ripple Dimension is the ONLY way to unlock those two Espers.

Dahlia is an exceptional offensive support/single target debuffer with stuns and a crit+atk up buff
And ye Suhua is so good that shes the only 3* thats top 20 in the character rankings and is extremely useful buffer that fits into any team her and chang pu make up this games noob power support couple before you start getting any good 4*-5* supports
Chang put is a clutch tbqh, very overrated
her AoE immunity with a chunky heal is what got me through story stages with that pandora b***h in them frick stuns
Yes, Dhalia and Ye Suhua are two high-value Espers, and not just because they're F2P bombshells. The former is a capable offensive support with group ATK UP/C. RATE Up/AP Up on her ult and assorted stuns/SPD Down on her other two abilities, and the latter is the highest-ranked 3* in the game - a buffer/off-healer who provides group ATK Up and DEF Up (two all-purpose strong buffs), a chunky single-target heal/invincibility, and even ATK Down on her basic attack. They're both free to earn, meaning you don't have to gacha for them. The problem, as mentioned previously, is that the only way to get them is through the Ripple Dimension, making them the most hotly-contested ripples in the game. Ripples themselves aren't a bad idea, but ripple-exclusive Espers make this a pain point, as you have to fight dozens of other players to get into a ripple. When a Dhalia/Ye Suhua ripple pops in chat, it fills practically instantly, so you have to be on the ball to get to it; you have to do this several times before you have enough character shards to unlock them.

Suhua is a stepping stone between Chang Pu and Gab and most people are going to be using Gab unless they roll Clara.
Gabrielle does outclass Ye Suhua, yes, but Ye Suhua still makes for a strong backup for Gabrielle or Clara or Sally or Heng Yue or really any other high-end support. Ye Suhua is incredibly flexible in that respect. Still, Gabrielle is perhaps the strongest non-healing support in the game, if not strongest support period. She is a cornerstone member of any team in literally all content in the game. She makes a shit team good and a good team better.

Overall, I got six 4* and a Berenice that I needed and one legendary at a moment when I am seriously thinking about going up the PvP ladder with almost no investment. Not bad/10
F10 auto still kinda feels like shit without Ahmed. Even if you consistently 1 shot the purification tablet the fight has so much debuff rng it's impossible to be truly consistent like in K10/A10.

Essentially. You recover everything you spent to upgrade an Esper, aside from Ascension and Abilimon investments.

I have Tiye as my lead so most enemies barely get 1 hit in and I have Gabrielle giving me 2 turns of immunity while I cut through their lines like butter, unfazed by cheap tricks
thats my problem with geb hes a healer who only really brings healing to the table and a -1 cd which doesnt really matter when shit like xiao can cycle her aoe/st skills when abillimoned which really only makes him usable in certain content.
Ied honestly take the chang/suhua combo over geb for 80% of content just because immunity and atk/def buffs are so generally useful
Well, I finally beat all of Purgatory mode, and all I got in return for my shimmer record was a lousy Medjed. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this game has a serious problem when it comes to completion rewards. The rewards are often not worth nor equal to the required effort needed to earn them.
Shimmers are inherently held on a higher pedastal compared to other Espers, so it's no surprise a Shimmer record is considered a high-tier reward.
A shimmer record is a high reward, yes. Getting a basic common Shimmer after struggling through the hardest difficulty is not a high reward appropriate for that level.

I don't know what I want honestly. My team is Wu Kong, Hyde, Clara, Kara, and Triki which all have different niches, alongside Donar and Sally which I haven't leveled. I don't know how strong Donar can get but I think I'm low on more burst damage.

Yeah. Triki immediately deals damage to any character that cleanses debuffs.
Triki directly counters anyone who (regularly) purges debuffs, which includes Clara, Sally and Jin Yuyao. Anytime a debuff is purged, Triki automatically applies free damage and a chance to petrify (lose a turn, don't advance cooldowns).

Yes. Most characters have genuine uses, and rarely are there true trashcans. They're there (e.g. David), but they're not the majority.
Ehh resonance is just a little bonus. As for endgame you can see a lot of 3 and 4 star.

Resonance is barely noticeable other than giving away if someone is swiping their brains out, it does very little. And there are plenty of 3/4* that are better than the majority of 5* at least for now.

The set up they had for him during the event was absolutely awful. It wasn't until they buffed the event Ollie did people started turning around on him. Once the theorycrafters finally worked with him, they found he's a good hybrid esper depending on how you want to build him.

I cleared most of the story and all of spatial tower with mostly 4 stars and farmable espers. For endgame, the main thing lacking outside of 5 star is a speed leader for pvp (long mian is solid but the extra 5% WILL matter in pvp) and a good healer (chang pu and heng yue are fine but will generally need another source of healing if you want to win attrition fights). The rates are absolute trash but you definitely don't need 5 stars until the very late game, I'm in a top 100 ranked club and I still regularly see plenty of 4 stars.

What he means is that you want to make an Unas II, Unas IV, or Mui II relic, as those are the ones with the wider base of main stats you can apply. Unas I is locked to +ATK main stat, and Unas III is locked to +DEF main stat.
Yep. I still had the other one and was able to get a circle one with all offensive. While I did notice a a pretty big increase to damage Hyde is also more squishy at start, but I do overall like how much you can affect a character's playstyle for a gacha mobile game

Can somebody break down why Dislyte is shit? I'm enjoying the game quite a bit. It's the only Summoners War style game I stuck with.
The biggest pain point is that the game can be stingy when it wants to. Rates are laughable, pity is rough, most of your progression is hard-capped by stamina, a couple of the high-end resources (specifically Legendary Abilimon to improve abilities on 5* Espers) take exceptionally long to acquire.
The gameplay itself is average. It could be worse, but for what it is as a turn-based RPG, it serves its purposes.
What truly hard-carries this game is the theme and aesthetic. Dislyte is one of those games where presentation carries it more than gameplay. The character designs, modern themes and urban setpieces are great, and given the game's exorbitant fascination with music, the soundtrack is full of bangers in a myriad of genres. If you have a thing for urban fantasy, mythology, modern fashion, modern music, or something else in that ballpark, Dislyte will hold onto you.

To play devil's advocate, they're trying to stretch out their roster of currently 85 Espers, all of which are fully 3D animated.
That same philosophy is exactly what is driving players away in droves though. I think it's absolutely absurd you can pull an epic or legendary esper more than 7 times (original summon + 6 duplicates for max resonance) and not get anything substantial for it, they should be removed from the pool permanently.
The sad part is you don't even have to whale to get something like pic related it happens naturally to some people. If you get a duplicate esper 3 times in a row you should get to choose a legendary of your choice, no gacha player enjoys spending their time for weeks to pull only to get wienerblocked by another dupe, it really takes the fun out of the game.
I get they don't want to give everything away to f2p and instead make them spend money on the game but there HAS to be a comprimise somewhere otherwise what kind of masochist would keep playing the game while he keeps getting a dupe instead of a character he wanted? It's exactly why there's only 3 active people left in my club.

You, uh, get a special player profile banner if you "fully max out" a certain 5* (level 60, full Ascension, full Resonance, full ability upgrades).
Oh, and if you break down a dupe for a fully resonanced 5*, you get the currency for a Shimmer Record.
I think honestly its the fact it just doesn't look like shit and the music is good.
I play this and Punishing Gray Raven, which is another notoriusly shitty game (i guess), and the "better" games that I get recommended on orange alien and elsewhere are all chibi anime crap. "But the rates are good."
I jumped on this game because I think urban fantasy is pretty cool (I chalk part of that up to the /tg/ in me), and the way Dislyte does it is neat and offers material for compelling stories. And again, the aesthetic is great.

I have to guess they are concerned about 3rd party markets, considering their paranoia streak (see: DJ contest ruined), which is fricking dumb if that's the case.
The only other gacha I've ever played allows infinite use of your friends units and no restriction on how many you can bring at once (last time I checked I have 38000 friend uses) and I get that doing that would be overkill in this game but still it feels insane to not let your friends use your esper until they finally pull one to call their own.
Just look at my friends, Not a single person out of 45 friends, all active PW 10-13, has this guy. So silly.
Just another aspect of this game's unrelenting greed: You can only use a support unit once per day to pressure you into buying gacha rolls to pull your own.
Honestly I've never played a gacha that felt more like Russian Roulette. Spinning the gacha is like spinning the barrel, do I get to live or do I get to die, only it's more "Can I pull a cool legendary esper that will greatly help my team comp out or do I get a terrible and unhelpful dupe?"
Keep in mind, I'm already late-game, I've played for 3 months. I have 12 legendary espers, 11 if you exclude Gabrielle. A majority of the espers I have are 6 starred and level 60. I really don't need 5 star starimons as much anymore, what I need are new espers to use them on. But I just can't seem to pull any. So frick me I guess.
This game just feels like they came up with the gacha system first, then the story and gameplay second.
The constant "hey buy our new pack" ads just annoy me because I have an entire wine cellar of stamina in my inventory and the only thing I would ever consider buying is rolls, but those are price gouged to frick. his reworked passive does 100% of ATK (that can now benefit from crit/cdmg) to all other enemies on the target's death. Add the rune that does splash damage + an additional crit/cdmg explosion on death and you get that result.

I have so many top tier Espers with full 6* relics, yet not a single one of my comp manages over B on any of those fights.
You need to abuse the special unique mechanic, the multipliers there are huge. Like for Shadowfire, basically every top run uses Jiang Man because her A3 is massive aoe damage.
How do you deal with Clara / Hera? Her kit is so insane and bloated. Especially when the 30% retaliate triggers on every attack.

I'm so tired of the game's content starting to be balanced around Clara. She was a fricking mistake.
I got Ahmed and figured he was pretty cool. Till I saw Clara, who heals just a bit less than he does, but cleanses debuffs, gives immunity, overheals into a shield, and does this all with her passive relatiate.
Meanwhile Ahmed might give a few characters a 10% damage buff after 3 turns.
Clara is just Heng Yue+, and it's insane. Bayonetta-lookin' ass.
Ahmed's strength isn't boosting attack, it's being able to heal through disease and being able to recover max hp debuffs. I think he's better than Clara vs a Hyde, for example.
I have a decked out Biondina and have no issues with Clara when I can outspeed with Dahlia/Tiye, reliably gets one shot every time. Any other hard hitting single target flow type esper would probably work, I was originally going to fully upgrade Leon just because I was so fed up with seeing Clara.

idk what to tell you man, I see it all the time. My fights usually go Dahlia 3, Gab 3, Tiye 3, Narmer 3, Biondina 3. If I win the speed race with Dahlia I usually get to do all that before the opponent takes any actions and win like 95% of the time. In the fight I just did, Biondina hit for roughly 65k damage and most of that was onto Clara. I suppose if you want to say it's not a one shot because I got Narmer there you'd be right, but he's mostly just there to clear up any adamantine set shields, to help set up for Biondina. I think Leon might actually be better for Clara hunting (though worse in general), but I don't have the resources right now to build him.

substat enhances are fricking bullshit you cant reroll them without just flatout changing the substats themselves the same happened to my ahmed's avatara where it had 3 perfect subs and 1 flat atk and atk got enhanced FOUR TIMES.

Sally pairs nicely with Gabrielle and it's not too uncommon for people to run both Sally and Heng Yue in tank oriented teams. But if you only run one, run Sally.

The story itself is pretty straightforward and wouldn't be out of place in a young adult novel.
Brynn is a rock-and-roll girl who runs a successful band with her bandmate Sieg. A chance encounter with two members of the Shadow Decree (the bad guy band of terrorists, assassins and mad scientists) leads to Brynn awakening her powers as the Esper of the Valkyrie, and Sieg getting kidnapped for unknown reasons. She gets picked up by Discboom and the Esper Union (the good guy organization that protects humans from the chaos of the Miracle), who walk her through her paces in her new life with superpowers. With Drew and Q as backup, Brynn spends the entire story hunting for her kidnapped best friend. She's headstrong and quick to anger, but Drew and Q keep her on task and focused as they dig deeper into the conspiracy surrounding Sieg and try to find him.
They do try to round out the side characters as well in the main story. Drew has beef with Leon, him being the assassin of House Ramses's patriarch, and links up with Ollie (before Ollie was released) to learn the fate of his research. Q is a refugee from a city that was destroyed by the Miracle.
Yeah, hilariously enough Drew's story was much better.

Despite temptations at times, Tang Xuan never left my team and was basically the captain (even if Gabrielle was the actual captain for her +HP% ability). Anyone who says monkey boy is dogshit can suck on the Ruyi Jingu Bang.
Gabrielle proves herself as the rock that all teams can be built upon. She makes shit teams good and good teams better.
Sally may not be as domineering as Clara, but she is still one of the single best healers in the game, even as slow as she is. Slow and steady has its perks.
Lucas pays immediate dividends as soon as you get him from completing the tower. His level of control is insane, to the point where even if a major damage dealer goes down, he can stall the enemy long enough that everyone else can get their damage in and finish the job.
Heng Yue, at worst, is a poor man's Clara, and that's nothing to scoff at on its own. Her constant healing/purging/cleaning maintenance keeps the team going, and her big heal/cleanse is always a welcome second wind for the party.

You use them to reroll your custom relics perfect 4 stat lines into something useable for the esper you're going to use them on (crit rate, crit damage, atk bonus %, hp bonus %, etc.)

4 am guy, Unas, Ahmet are the core three I always bring to PvE. Otherwise I have a few buffers, debuffers or more damage dealers. Often I use Hercules, he's a surprisingly effective follow up to Nesa. But in the difficulties I'm at now, if any two enemies hits one of my damage dealers, they die since enemies punch for 11~12K a pop, even the mooks.
I still can't do Fafnir 10 or Snake 10 too.

Kronos and Apep are cakewalks, but Fafnir takes a slight bit more finagling. Not much, especially after the nerf, but still a bit.
I think the only one you really need to summon is Lu Yi for that multi hit.
Gabrielle as your leader for the extra hp and immunity, tang yun for multi hits, lu yi if you have him, and then just anything else that hits multiple times like berenice or azure dragon who has a damage multiplier to help kill azure dragon as fast as possible
Shouldn't be *that* bad as long as your team has decent relics and is level 60

TT is literally balanced around swiping and pressuring people to swipe. The oddly 5* favored modifiers (see: Molasses) are there to make people spend money for Clara.
Everyone will tell you that from rank 12 up, it's not worth the struggle if you want to get your rewards. It's why you have so many players with intentionally bad/incomplete defense teams: they are intentionally tanking their records so they can downrank and get easier fights. Otherwise, it's the multiplayer F2P classic: YOU serve as other people's content.
Vermilion Bird will be a better support healer than Cecilia, no matter what their skills are

Shimmer 3*'s are common as all hell shimmer 4*'s are as sort after as some legendarys and have no pity so rng can frick you up.
Holy shit, I just had a similar pull, except my token shimmer was Lauren. They really should make it so that you get a Epic every 10 pulls. All-blue pulls just feel like a slap in the face.
I have a pity of 4 I am pretty much guaranteed to hit tomorrow and let me tell you I will not miss seeing pulls like these. I feel more excitment playing Genshin Impact where I get 1 epic every 10 pull instead of 10 blues like this. Divine Sequencer helped churn the fodder into something half decent for when you actually get a good pull but goddamn it's demoralizing. I spent all day doing pulls in other games and hit above 3 stars so often within 10 pulls I felt like I was winning an RNG lottery. Even that new Tower of Fantasy game has a hard pity at 80. Fricking eighty pulls compared to Dislyte's 120. Hell even if miracle of miracles happens and I get Tevor tomorrow I don't really know how motivated I can be to stare down a brand new banner with the slim odds of getting something new if there's a character I want. I will have pulled over 700 times at this point with my last 3 of 4 legendary espers being a full 120 pity and I've had enough.

Is Chalmers worth it? I have enough to 6 star a unit and I'm wondering if I should get him to that level or rather prioritize some other option like Pritzker or Chloe.
Chalmers is if you want record speedruns on bosses. Chloe has broader general use as a DPS, and Pritzker is good as controllers go.
For reference, DPS benefits more on 6 stars than other types.
Rank up boosts HP, ATK and DEF, so if your character needs that, they're more likely to rank up.

They did, in fact, reduce the Gold Record hard pity from 120 to 100.
They've essentially created a second gacha currency, the Super Sound Matrix, that you can buy/acquire from multiple sources and whose progress carries over between events. Just to encourage you further to roll it, they have locked specific Espers - in this case, Lewis, Triki, Sally and Raven - behind this new gacha.

Essentially, Clara's "cleanse 2 debuffs and grant Immunity if no debuffs" has been moved to her ult, as she only cleanses 1 debuff on every heal by default now. The gap between her and Heng Yue has narrowed considerably.
Reduced pity is nice but it means frick all if there's still no dupe protection you're just getting your dupes quicker

Brynn's story dives into the relationship between the Esper Union and the Shadow Decree, and how everything else - other gangs, bounty hunters, the Miramon, the Miracle itself - fits in the middle between them. Also, Brynn gets her happy ending at the end.

So yeah, it's exactly as I thought. The Super Sound Matrix is an alternate gacha currency that you earn through several means, and you hit hard pity at 80 SSM spins. Gaius can be earned through both the SSM and Gold Record spins; you get better odds earning the banner Esper through SSM, but Raven, Lews, Triki, and Sally are also locked behind SSM. Meanwhile, Gold Record hard pity is down from 120 spins to 100.
To clarify, you are guaranteed the banner esper if you hit SSM hard pity twice.
Or at least two legendaries period. At worst, you get the banner Esper when you hit SSM hard pity twice.

I didn't see a single fricking word in the patch notes saying they've adjusted gold record drops at all for this SSM currency introduction so I'm sorry if I seem nonplussed at this supposed "better pulling system". This update will really make or break the Dislyte economy. It's the SSM I'm wondering but the way they phrased "Online Union Shop, Temporal Tower, Bounties, Events, Gift packs, etc." as sources imply it'll be at least a frequent thing. They're mostly the same thing. They increase the damage you take. The difference is that Sear can *only* increase the damage you receive, while def-down can also lower the damage units like Ren-Si and Donar can do, as they scale off of defense.

Just got Sander. Now I get why even non-furgays want him, he literally tears down bosses.
Sander is a DPS pretending to be a controller, and it's nuts.
Sander is in a weird space of being a hybrid of both as he is one of the only controllers solely dedicated to single target control so he has actual damage instead of piddly 80% AoE's to round out his kit.
The new Vermilion bird esper looks to be also a speed based fighter with some AOE so it'll be interesting how she stacks up to Sander
Li Guang is specifically described as a speedy single-target rapid attacker. All her abilities are single-target multiattacks, and most of her abilities push her AP in some fashion.

she's technically not a controller so she lacks the stun. With that said she's really good at fafnir. She works well with Sander too.
