Here’s the reality, stupid:
Nobody was seriously asking for Crash until after Banjo was even revealed. This is way too fricking late. All the characters were long decided by that point. Sora was the most requested character for over six years, and if you think Activision was more difficult to negotiate with than DISNEY— you’re moronic.
Same deal with Dante.
>Thinking activision was to blame because of high asking price
I been telling crashgays for months that his chances were dead because of 1 lawsuit but as time went on that 1 grew to 5 or 7 LMAO nintendo wasn’t going to associate with a company that drove a woman to suicide
It was and will never be your turn. Crash was never very interesting and Nintendo knows this. There is no interest in Crash for Smash from the majority and Sakurai's thought process for characters isn't their history such as a one sided rivalry, but their moveset potential and how fun of a character they would be. Crash just simply isn't, he's too generic, like every other platformer character of the 90s. He bellyflops, he spins, he has a rocket launcher. How interesting. Time to go back in the memory hole where you belong Crashies.
When I mentioned crash didn’t get in a couple days b4 his anniversary, they were calling me “le patterngay” lmao yet sora got in the game just in time for his anniversary.
They held onto such little hope and wouldn’t listen to reason. SAD
how mentally challenged are you, just curious?
imagine thinking that's why Cash Banooca didn't get it and not the fact that Activision's crashing and burning right now.
>Disney was easier to work with than Activision
Disney have literally nothing to do with it. KH was made and published by SE and all it's original characters are owned by SE.
They were also saying his “oh” and “um” tweets were confirmations/teases that he would get in lmao little did they know it was probably in reference to removing his mii costume
To elaborate a bit further on this "bait", Activision let Toys for Bob make the game so they could get some experience making games; thus ensuring the hostile takeover that lead to them helping develop Warzone.
I fricking hate Sony, they should've pumped serious Cash to get Crash or at least hand it to competent devs, but I guess univershit israelites obviously didn't want to sell him and instead gave him to a team that had to "crunch" (heh) WoC into an already packed schedule.
Years later, Activision got him and managed a good revival with trilogy and CTR (It had shit online, tho) but Crash 4 sorta shat the bed, I would discuss but it would be too long like the damn levels in that game.
And then Activision, frick Acshitvision and Snoy and also frick current naughty dog.
To be honest, I'd rather get Doomguy than Kazuya, I like Tekken but... yeah, let's be honest, NOBODY was asking for Kazuya to the point that even Harada himself got salty about it before his reveal, and we already have 3 fighting game characters. Nothin personal but at least Doomguy could've been a bit more original or add some variety to the DLC roster.
What about Dante? I’ve never seen a single person talk about him in the Ballot until Ultimate’s DLC happened.
But yeah, I think it’s logical that we need to stop requesting things during a Smash games’s current cycle and request them EARILER before the next game happens because development and roster finalization is before any of us have a say in it.
I figured this was the reason. Still if Sakurai picked someone from Activision it'd probably be a Blizzard rep if anything. Crash still wasn't in All Stars either though.
If Nintendo cuts ties with Blizzard and the Overwatch even over the Hong Kong fiasco then they DEFINITELY would want nothing to do with Activision’s abuse of women and driving one to suicide.
Frick Actishiton, let’s just hope within a couple decades, they’ll get shut down and Crash/Spyro will be owned by a different company so they’ll have a fairer chance without bringing up any drama.

>Dante
He is in Smash actually. Mii costumes count.
>Activision was more difficult to negotiate with that Disney
Yes, because Bobby Kotick. Same reason Crash wasn't in the Playstation Smash Bros game.
>no one was asking for crash
I was...
As someone who was heavily around Smash 4 DLC speculation, Crash was hardly ever brought up. Not even during the ballot era.
Just wait for PSASBR 2

Official crashgay seethe thread
imagine letting Crash live rent free in your head
I was imagining the sweet victory of crashgays seething when it wasn’t going to be him. So glorious
That delusion over the 25th anniversary was something else.
When I mentioned crash didn’t get in a couple days b4 his anniversary, they were calling me “le patterngay” lmao yet sora got in the game just in time for his anniversary.

Crash wouldn't be getting in regardless,
put it perfectly, Crash was a bandwagon and wasn't in the discussion when it actually mattered, aka during the ballot.
BRING HIM BACK
>Disney was easier to work with than Activision
Disney have literally nothing to do with it. KH was made and published by SE and all it's original characters are owned by SE.
>he actually believes this
Disney owns the Kingdom Hearts franchise you colossal moron. They can do whatever the frick they want with it.
They were also saying his “oh” and “um” tweets were confirmations/teases that he would get in lmao little did they know it was probably in reference to removing his mii costume
Not really,Disney is planning a KH series for Disney plus so they would use sora soon and with that in mind they asked for more money
Sakurai just did it because iwata wanted it just like ultimate on the first place
>Crash Wrath of Cortex comes out
>Does so shit the devs of Twinsanity point it out
>Twinsanity doesn't do well either
>Crash dies
>Activision baits Toys for Bob into making Crash 4
>Game does "ok"
>Crash dies, again
Why did people think this guy would get in Smash?
To elaborate a bit further on this "bait", Activision let Toys for Bob make the game so they could get some experience making games; thus ensuring the hostile takeover that lead to them helping develop Warzone.

The Crash mobile game is doing well though
I always thought it was weird how sure some people were acting about Crash. Yeah I could have seen it happening but it's also not surprising it didn't
NOOOOOO SCRIMBLO BIMBLOOOOO
No other rostergayging character made me hate both the character and its fans than crash.
HEH
Not for nothing, Crash is literally the blandest character on the planet. He's like if you tried to rip-off a rip-off of Sonic.
We were so close, Crashbros...
Audio version?
virtually no stuff requested during Ultimate made it in except Sans and Doomguy
To be honest, I'd rather get Doomguy than Kazuya, I like Tekken but... yeah, let's be honest, NOBODY was asking for Kazuya to the point that even Harada himself got salty about it before his reveal, and we already have 3 fighting game characters. how would they make Doom guy soulful without involving violence though
his violence is primarily shooting people, he can shoot people
What about Dante? I’ve never seen a single person talk about him in the Ballot until Ultimate’s DLC happened.
But yeah, I think it’s logical that we need to stop requesting things during a Smash games’s current cycle and request them EARILER before the next game happens because development and roster finalization is before any of us have a say in it.
more like he was blocked because they've been in a giant lawsuit for the past few months and it'd look bad on nintendo PR
I figured this was the reason. Still if Sakurai picked someone from Activision it'd probably be a Blizzard rep if anything. Crash still wasn't in All Stars either though.
All the DLC for Sma4sh and Ultimate has been a fricking disaster.
I'd rather that Crash is announced as a guest up front in the next game, instead of being part of that travesty.
If Nintendo cuts ties with Blizzard and the Overwatch even over the Hong Kong fiasco then they DEFINITELY would want nothing to do with Activision’s abuse of women and driving one to suicide.

Nobody cares about Crash Bandicoot.
