>Haha wouldn't it be fun if we made it so literally every encounter has poison and/or fire aoe that will take out 80% of your entire party hp with a single attack?!
>Would it not be even more fun if that applied not only to when enemies attack you, but also if you attack them?
Pic related is my hp after a single encounter, in which I killed every enemy without getting hit.
What a terrible game.

it's funny to see bg3 babies trying a real game
it literally has the WoW ability bar lol
>look at most generic pre console PC skill bar ever
>muh WoW
Imbecile
It's literally for MMO tards.
>cooldown timers
>the best abilities are at low skills levels so you can't screw up even if you randomly spec into everything
>the game can be soloed with summons, many of which are given independently of your character's skills or without deep investment
>damage basically boils down to dumping some AOE CC field and bypassing all resistances
DOS is a moron game lol
>wow ability bar
Is WoW the only other rpg-ish game you ever played? How can you possibly be this ignorant and lacking point of reference that you actually think WoW invented ability action bars lmao
>WoW ability bar
"WoW ability bar" is just a longer Warcraft 3 ability bar. Warcraft 3 ability bar is just a higher-res Warcraft 2 ability bar.
>D:OS
>real game
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
So? You have unlimited healing after the fight
>bad mechanic is good because it gets negated at the end
I guess you don't mind getting raped by Black folk, because your butthole will heal anyway?
According to your analogy the Black folk miraculously wouldn’t hit me lol
>food analogy
>trivialises the entire game
Barrelmancy was a mistake.
Barrelmancy was the only reason the game was fun.
What are you, some kind of pussy? Toughen up son.
DoS had fantastic gameplay
BG3 is casual crap with pretty graphics.
I just hope they go back to roots with DoS3, but dont expect much since money corrupts everything
DoS is the definition of artificial difficulty. You have to know what tactics to use before engaging in combat, you can't learn it during the fight and still survive.
>Walk into boss room
>Boss starts turn
>Kills entire party in his first turn because you didn't use the correct buffs and placement before engaging him
>lol skill issue
second game is also like this. Most of the fights are ambushes.
Yeah this sucks ass but at least it means positioning plays a very important role unlike say pathfinder where you prebuff then autoattack the boss
No idea what you're talking about. The game is even easy enough to do some really moronic builds, and even if you get most of your party wiped due to some bullshit you have the trumo card of bloodstones, which you want to use anyway. Only real bullshit part was the last boss because you had to protect an npc.
DoS is The Room of crpgs
I'm playing OS2, on act 3 right now. This is my second attempt, dropped the first on act 2.
Every
Single
Fight
enemies all get to move before me and nuke my team to the point everyone but MC has lost all armor and is at half hp. My problem isn't even that it's hard, just fricking annoying.
The combat system is so fricking moronic. Once the armor is gone an enemy is basically worthless and can be chain CC'd from 100 to 0 easily. Like what is even the point of health at this point.
And good luck to frickers who wanted to be reasonable and make balanced party with both physical and magic, your bosses have effectively double the HP now, since they have the same amount of phys and mag armor, lmao. What were they thinking?
>And good luck to frickers who wanted to be reasonable and make balanced party with both physical and magic
That's what I did because that is the logical choice, and the party members seemed to reflect this as well.
I've tried replaying it with both a full physical, and full magic party, but I've not gotten past tutorial island after my first paythrough.
I did just fine with a balanced party. Plenty of enemies have a different armor values.
I do agree that the armor system is flawed at it's core though.
There is literally a stat for initiative.
aren't you gimping yourself by investing in initiative? you avoid getting assraped first in the first turn but you'll be significantly weaker, right?
You don't need heavy investment in the first couple acts. It also increases crit chance, which is the secret to actually doing big numbers.
There is also the peace of mind spell that adds an amount scaled to your level, as well as a bit of extra str/mag. It only takes 1 pyro to learn and should be used on all characters before battle. That alone is enough to probably beat everything in act 1.
On the other hand, you should never be investing in con.
>enemies all get to move before me
No they don't, the game literally forces the player and the NPCs to alternate turns. Neither can play twice in a row.
LITERALLY a skill issue
stop walking into massive pools of poison
start having enemies walk into massive pools of poison instead
You have not played the game. There are tons of enemies in the game that drops poison and fire when you hit them. Which basicly is a huge frick you to anyone that wants to have a melee character because you literally can't attack them without losing your own health.
As for the pic in the OP, there was NOTHING on the ground at all. I cc'd and killed every single enemy in that encounter without getting hit a single time, but LOL ENEMIES DEAL HUGE AOE WHEN THEY DIE FRICK YOU.
>No idea what you're talking about.
Braccus Rex. He casts a fire aoe on his first turn that will kill or almost kill your entire party before you can even get a single turn in. The only way to counter this is to know he is going to do it before you start the encounter.
That is literal trial and error, and the game is filled to the brim with these sorts of encountes.
What are resistances?
>You have not played the game
But I've beaten it twice? If you know an enemy explodes on death, then you should plan accordingly. If you made your entire 4 people party in melee characters and then gave them insufficient defence options and resistances then it's on you. Building your party is part of the game.
>If you know an enemy explodes on death
Not everyone is a huge homosexual that reads a guide and knows what every boss and enemy does before engaging them
>If you made your entire 4 people party in melee characters and then gave them insufficient defence options and resistances
Nice strawman, moron.
Ganker showing once again that they are shit at video games lol.
Oh shit boys, be careful what you say, we have le master gamer here.
You might want to step out of that fire before you start posting.
Is this game pozzed?
I played DOS2 and BG3 and it seems like Larian got gradually pozzed
It barely even has a plot or characters honestly. You play it if gameplay gimmicks appeal.
Way less than DOS2. The jump betweeen them was huge
Is DOS2 even pozzed in the first place? I'm
playing it right now and I can't think of anything. It's certainly nothing compared to BG3 in that regard.
It depends on what's considered pozzed these days, but the city in the final act has about 3 lesbian/gay couples
In my playthrough the Red Prince wanted to frick me (male character).
>you poisoned the water
>now its flamable
>douse the flames
>now no one can see in the steam clouds
It is a bit wild
I felt the same about div1 and 2. Oh boy look i exploded an X surface with Y element and gibbed everything. Fun
I don't think Divine Divinity or Divinity 2 had surface mechanics.
>look i exploded an X surface with Y element and gibbed everything
That does sound fun.
Wow. And I thought I'm bad at crpgs. The only ones I played and finished before DOS are Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall. Always considered myself to be a brainlet when it comes to builds.
I think there were like 4 or 5 battles in DOS that took me more than 1 attempt. That would be that ressurected necromancer guy under the church, Loik or whatever his name was (bloodstone cultist that awaits you at the end of the trials), skeleton Duke with his wife and couple of others that I forgot, probably spiders.
Didn't change any difficulty settings, barely used crafting and ignored treasure maps. My party was: fire mage, warrior with a shield, warrior with 2h weapons, archer.
never heard of this ASShomosexualS game before is it good compared to LoL and DoTA
>Haha wouldn't it be fun
it was pretty fun, yea
