it drags on, the writing is worse than BG3 to a noticable degree. the act 3 with the big city was just a chore to get through because the constant feeling that you can see the finish line but the game just drags. on. forever. while dangling the end in front of you.
for the first 1/3 i'd say it's decent, but overall still worse than dos1 and mainly due to how the combat system works, or, doesn't. it seems that people either love or hate the armor system and for me it's the latter. it just means your party comp is heavily limited and most of the fights play exactly the same from your end.
I really enjoyed it, but the itemization/armor/magic.armour system breaks down after awhile and just becomes goofy
Hopefully DOS3 tries to handle it differently
There is nothing wrong with using more party member mod. >Sebille is a rouge since that fit her storyline >Ifan is the archer >Beast and Red Prince are kamikaze, jump into the middle and explode >Lohse stand back and freeze the enemies >Fane charge in with 2-h weapons
I'm playing right now, but I'm a bit burn on Act 2. I had a blast on Act 1, though. Maybe is the lack of encounters and having to follow a Let's Play so I don't lose much of the available XP around the map...
If it your first playthrough then just do what you want, it's okay to miss out of something. I went through the the entire 2nd act until I learn I can get spirit vision to open up more quests.
Spirit Vision and Pet Pal, yes. I'm the type of player that goes looking in every nook and cranny, but I don't usually play games like this, so perhaps that's the thing. I'll try to yolo more, I can see that the problem is me tho kek
It's a good game. A bit weird on how fricking dark it can get sometimes, but it's alright. Also, that Braccus Rex guy was a fricking c**t
Make him a mage since his source skill scale with Aero. Or make him a buffer who spend the entire fight heal and buffs allies. I find that Shield Toss is pretty good on him
Yes, you can craft the shapeshifter mask of Fane, turn into an Elf and eat corpse. Or you can just play as an elf. Also eating corpse to get info is just 1 way to get information
>have every character in my party put two points into scoundrel regardless of how I'm building them
>every character can now teleport even in stealth and gets extra immediate movement and attacks because of Adrenaline
why do I need sybille?
Sacrifice Flesh for 1 free ap + blood spatter & dmg buff
Elemental arrows for additional dmg buff using the 1 free ap
Rain fricking hell with a bow w/ height advantage to ruin everything

I'm playing an elf atm. So fricking cool. I'm also using Flesh Sacrifice before the battle to create pools of blood so Fane can shit Totems everywhere kek
Blood Sacrifice and Corpse Eater are 2 great skill for any build. >Necromancer can use the blood buddle to activate Elemental talent and reduce cost of Necromancy spell >Need 1 more AP for those spell? FYou got it >Need an extra attack to finish the enemies? here.
Better than BG3 >writing >companions and characters >story >world >elemental/weather effects in combat >stealth >narrator's voice >voice acting in general >music (bg just lazily reuses a dozen tracks)
Worse than BG3 >no cutscene dialogue >no drow >dual armour system (it's not that bad tho) >performance in big fights
Larian even reused half the story beats and world designs from Divinity for BG3. The more you play it the more you realize the stagnation and even regression on display between the two titles
yeah I thought it was solid but some fights are just bullshit and really you can just make a magic tank motherfricker to steamroll everything most of the time. shoutout to my boi the red prince whose homosexual ass wanted to romance me in the final act but I rejected his pussy ass and reminded him that the whole reason he's doing this shit is so he can get some prime argonian pussy and we was cool after that but man was it awkward.
It is really good to a certain point
and that point is the ending screen
That’s when it gets good
When does it go to shit?

Act 3 lasts for 15 minutes what are you talking about
Blows my mind people think this is more than an average game.
Does everyone want to immediately frick you in this game like in bg3?
there's a few gag raunchy scenes, but no, it's pretty tame
Are there good romances for straight males?
I really enjoyed it, but the itemization/armor/magic.armour system breaks down after awhile and just becomes goofy

BG3's itemisation gives me hope DOS3 won't be a constant parade of vendor trash
Never played it because it seems like you're just fricking yourself over by not playing their preset characters
That's every Larian game, not sure why they bother with that Origin shit.
It's easier to write a story and make the story be more focus. Like you would need certain reason to visit certain npc. Also it give you more goals.
I actually preferred the custom character because I like the Source ability better than any of the preset ones.

Any good mod?

For fricks sake
Companions are especially well written and likeable in this game, way more than in BG3, i personally had Red Prince, Fane and Sebille in my party.
I while like Beast banter, too bad his story kinda lame.
How do I make him good in combat?
Make him a mage since his source skill scale with Aero. Or make him a buffer who spend the entire fight heal and buffs allies. I find that Shield Toss is pretty good on him
Is it humanly possible to do a run without based Sebille?
I'm really digging Fane.
Yes, you can craft the shapeshifter mask of Fane, turn into an Elf and eat corpse. Or you can just play as an elf. Also eating corpse to get info is just 1 way to get information
Corpse tasting aside, she's also wicked good in combat too. Whenever Sebille isn't in my party I'm thinking where's Sebille

Are there any reason to use spear over other str 2-h weapons?
>finished Sebille quest
>She tried to hug my MC and start a relationship
>But I want to save myself for Lohse so I turn her down
Lohse and her story were GOAT
Better than BG3
>writing
>companions and characters
>story
>world
>elemental/weather effects in combat
>stealth
>narrator's voice
>voice acting in general
>music (bg just lazily reuses a dozen tracks)

Yeah, it is.
People actually like act 1? when i was playing with my friends we were trying to get out of fort joy as fast as possible
yeah I thought it was solid but some fights are just bullshit and really you can just make a magic tank motherfricker to steamroll everything most of the time. shoutout to my boi the red prince whose homosexual ass wanted to romance me in the final act but I rejected his pussy ass and reminded him that the whole reason he's doing this shit is so he can get some prime argonian pussy and we was cool after that but man was it awkward.
Wasn't his romance only got trigger if you look at he and Red Princess having sex? Also Ifan is way more awkward
hell if I know anon, but all I know is that shit was too gay for my tastes.
fricking coward
Mediocre game, terminally overrated, dig deeper, kill you're self.
