I've been playing these for the first time (except the original when it released) and 4 is draining me. I've just unlocked Dante I think and I am struggling to continue, it's so dull. I like the combat and all but frick me is it boring, do I really need to finish this shit before 5 or can I just ditch it? How much longer is there at chapter 11?
you can ditch it 100%
story wise all you need to know is that nero ends up saving kyrie (duh)
and that nero ends up absorbing the Yamato (katana) into his arm

I genuinely didn't like 3. I played DMC1 practically day one and loved it. Skipped DMC2 due to the bad word of mouth. Got DMC3 day one and didn't care for it. I've only replayed it one time and that was leading into DMC4's release.
They're all uncool but very fun games. Dante is the equivalent of a bodybuilder slamming babies and thinking he is hot shit for doing so and he is like this for 90% of the game. Being a dickhead isn't cool, you're just being a dickhead.
Answer me Ganker
because video games are not cool they're gay
because you had your tenth birthday
Video games
Because DMC4 is literally unfinished and Itsuno came out and said they were aiming for something like the Avengers movies while making DMC5
>Like the avengers movie
Now everything makes sense.
Dropping DMC5 rn and going to go finish Viewtiful Joe.

It's only 20 missions.
Alright cheers guys.

explains the poor story direction
It's just your nostalgia.

dmc5 is cool
nah, it's the most meh of them all. Awful world and enemy design.
DMC4 feels a bit too shonen. Like DMC was always anime but DMC4 with Nero and Kyrie just felt like they were trying to appeal to a younger audience.
Which is why DmC: DE is the best post-3 game. Doesn't force multiple characters on the player in the main campaign, is all dumb fun.
only dmc 3 is good
