I like him, but god damn, I've been getting frustrated dealing with how relatively slow his buttons are and how he has fricking no plus frames outside of his slow ass j.MP overhead. Once people stop just running into grenades and stop letting me set up the net for free, it feels like his pressure is all fake and his buttons are just too damn committal. Like, net setplay is good, but getting the chance to run it before getting exploded myself has been a nightmare.

So I'm trying to learn Dragon Knight and I just feel like I can barely convert off anything I do, I need to combo into her 2S since it's the launcher that sets up her confirm into the hitgrab but the range just never seems to connect unless I'm point blank while every other character in the game seems like they can easily convert a stray hit into a 70% combo. Does DK just suck at conversions or am I missing something?
2S is indeed where all of Dragon Knight's big combos come from. If you not at a spacing to land it than just go into 214MP and set up some kind of pressure
PC. You can cancel the first hit of 4S with flight with is great for mixes and escaping if they hold block. I think my biggest problem is using Astra outside of her corner combo, it seems like Astra is suppose to save your ass when approaching but I always seem to use it only for the opponent to knock it away. She doesn't seem too bad overall, her win condition is just "corner them and do your frick ridiculous corner combo", but neutral feels a little rough I feel.

This is the combo I use. It's pretty straightforward except for the delayed 5{C}, not hard but it's been throwing me off at times. This is basically THE Dragon Knight combo it seems like. It's universal, does a frick ton of damage, and keeps them in the corner. I've seen some players do fancy combos in to the triple fireball followup with Astra at mid screen but I'm just still doing basic b***h 5A > 5B > 2S > 4A > 214M right now basically.
Beside her conversion ability being underwhelming I really like her. Really well rounded but has some real fun stuff with her flight cancels.
Trial combos are more meant to ingrain basic combo theory and provide a challenge in the later ones, not give you practical BnBs. That said this game's execution is surprisingly tough for how simple it appears to be.
Troubleshooter bros, how do I keep a combo going with 4MS? I see videos of people doing 5S>4MS>2A which activates the bomb, but I can't seem to make it flow properly.

He can loop 2B xx 5S, j.M for corner carry then just end on 214M instead for the oki once you reach the corner. The first rekka hit is cheap so you can generally get a couple loops without having a ton of MP.
for now just recolors since this is my first arc sys game but I use to do stuff with audio too

Grappler is too high effort and high risk for low reward. Vanguard's "niche" of long reaching normals becomes a nothingburger when 80% of the cast also has them and he has nothing else to compensate. Ranger is weird in that he is 100% matchup dependent, either he has no chance to lose or no chance to win and there's no in between.

I want Skirmisher so badly. He's less tanky but more agile than Vanguard and has a Genei jin. Basically an FF dragoon (putting aside the laser dragoon class in DFO).
By most anime standards BCup is flat relative to anything shy of pure washboard. Striker is fit and still has DD or so, Launcher is 6'7" and has around an F or G (her frame probably increases the size of bra she needs), DK is as short as Enchantress and has fat honkers.
Inquis is a grown woman but gets mogged by the womanlet AND the Amazon, the only flatter girl is the actual child.
Granblue tried to be a grounded footsie game with some anime mechanics/gimmicks and a cooldown system. Despite DNF sharing a Guard button and the option to do specials with or without motions, it's a much more aggressive and high-character-power game. Any DNF character dropped into GBVS as-is would be Top Tier, ebbed the ones that are weak within DNF..
I wouldn't call her particularly bad, but I'd definitely put her in the bottom half of the cast. But you'll definitely score wins since not many know the matchup.

The stubby normals, also her pressure game isn't really great. But she's fun as frick to hit buttons with and that she checks so many of my boxes is a nice bonus.

How do I approach with Grappler vs everyone who just has full screen buttons? I try and use shoulder tackle or charged grab, but I almost always get stuffed in the startup frames or memed on with a low. If I try and get a read with a counter I get lowed or catch nothing and get punished during recovery. Jump charged axe kick works when I'm not against characters whose full screen buttons also cover tons of airspace. Seems like my only option is rolling but if they're going Unga bunga and canceling the whiffed move into whatever they were gonna do on hit/block I get hit. I've tried just dash blocking or walk blocking but everything comes out so fast I just get hit.
Probably because hes a posterboy character that doesnt have enough draw. That said, Berserker is something else. Ive fought at least 2 Berserkers and once they get in, theyre in. Those blockstrings are moronic

Meanwhile Striker can just casually messatsu you and it may as well just cut to the victory screen then and there if she gets in, whether you actually play the game or not.
I'm a Ken and Sol main and picked Crusader, but I made Gold with Ken before dropping SFV for Xrd a while back and Celestial with Sol a couple times before dropping Strive cuz it sucks

okay in that case Using your magic skill in the air is probably one of your beat neutral cheats. you can do it low to the ground and it's hard to punish, plus it gets a full combo. Otherwise if you ever get locked down don't be afraid to guard cancel or DP

So right now Inquisitor and Vanguard seem the weakest? I see people say grappler is weak but I don't know. Roll does seem to kind of frick with his gameplan but he still seem strong to me.
a friend from my locals won one of the first 100+ entrant tournaments for the game with Grappler but I don't know how much of that is a testament to his genius with grapplers or Grappler's strength as a character.
You just have to accept that the game is kusoge and that you're gonna get lamed out by certain moves until you lab out solutions to them (if your character even has solutions to said cheese moves).
To be honest i don't feel especially bad about rage quitting. If the game is going to humiliate me with bad statistics then I might as well be unfair. I know they come from the fact that I'm bad, but I still hate seeing them.
I think it's counter-productive if you don't want to be "humiliated" in a video game. I laugh and feel even better when I get a rage quitter over someone being perfect KO'd.

To get good at a game they enjoy? Even the players who are stomping you likely took several months in other fighting games before they were able to adapt to other games quickly. And even then I'm sure they had tough time adapting to games that aren't similar to ones they previously enjoyed playing.
Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is having a high win rate. The goal of every player should be to spend enough time that they reach 50% eventually.

They're just numbers and ranks shouldn't matter (especially in one where you can choose where to start from bronze to gold). The real place to grind is player lobbies. I would recommend going there if you actually want to see improvement. You can even chat with the other players and discuss why you might be losing to their tricks.

Yeah but Street Fighter had charge characters, so it didn't take long to git gud since charge characters are busted.
She would have 'okay-ish' pokes if they came out about twice as fast, she can hardly spam her MS attacks because they all cost way too much fricking MP and she has abysmal MP regen until she's almost dead when it hardly helps, she doesn't get to deal good damage to blocks so even with all the blockstun in the world she's never going to guard break you, in general she hardly does any fricking damage anyway.
Maybe she would have the blessing of being a real character if she were like twice as fast, but shit man
her fastest button is nine frames.
NINE FRAMES. And of course, it's a stubby one too. She is also one of the only characters with a 5B shorter than her 5A because of course she is.
And then they decided to give her the lowest health in the game for fun as well.
So to top it off she has
-Slow buttons
-Weak Buttons
-Okay-ish Pokes
-Lots of blockstun in a game with a Guard Button except she doesn't deal damage to your guard
-The lowest health in the game
-Unremarkable awakening ability
The blockstun (which again, hardly matters) is quite literally the only thing she has going for her. Some characters get to have literally all the things she lacks while it feels like they backpedaled on her balance way too hard (perhaps from player whining in betas) and shipped her as a puppy with a broken spine

the only real problem I've had with it is that I mash too quickly during cancels which isn't a problem in any other game since 21K4KKKKK is still a tatsu in street fighter but here it'll register the 1M as a simple input dragon punch. However most inputs don't have to be canceled that quickly so I'm usually fine.

I was thinking that having a cutscene DP might let you just blindly OS with conversion so even boomer reactions can make it safe but usually on wakeup you won't have any white life anyway.
It's cancellable on block, except you don't need to block it because if you hold backwards for 1 nanosecond you'll have moved far enough away to make it whiff. It will also fail to AA all disjointed air attacks because they'll go through it without it connecting.

Also why is the effective startup always less than the combined startup of pre+post flash?
Should be noted that Crusader's is not a true DP. It's a projectile that has armor on startup. A meaty projectile will clash and remove the hitbox (DK j.S lets her cover the option and punish without even committing), and you can just throw him out of startup (this is the main reason why Grappler vs Crusader is actually in Grappler's favor).

He literally just has to either stand outside of 5B range or down back within it and wait for anything other than 5AA5B then smack her out of startup with 5B, 5S, or 236M into a 25-40% combo. With the chip damage he can Conversion into bigger damage too. Worst case, your 5S trades with her 5S and you still get the better deal out of it because she took more damage and you pushed her further towards the corner.
Nah, fighting game numbers have been shifting to pc for a while. IIRC both Strive and Tekken have double the playerbase on PC and it's supposed to be slightly above playstation for jive too.
I get that older games with rollback updates tend to be more popular, but I've been able to get matches for Tekken quicker on Playstation. Most of my jive matches have been against PS4 players too.

You might be on to something. 6% of Steam users managed to hit Gold Rank whereas 3.8% of Playstation users who use PSNprofiles hit Gold Rank in Jive. Lastly, only 1% of all Playstation users who own jive hit Gold Rank.
Even though I've played more PS4 users in jive, they were mostly Mexicans or Americans doing jump-ins with Ryu/Ken/Akuma. They literally cannot process anti-airs, and a decent use of AAs was enough to carry me pass Gold. Even if Playstation has more players, it does have more morons who are incapable of learning beyond pressing buttons.

This game seems awesome, if only for the massive roster including like 10 joke characters. Ironically, this is the only other game I can think of besides DNF with characters that has a character that intentionally cannot mix high/low, although said joke characters are why.

Have you ever thought that either you suck at doing very basic things OR are going to try optimal crap instead of simple BnB combos that do similar damage when you are very shit instead? Losing 5 damage won't make you lose the game, dropping combos and coming here to seethe here instead will though.
Holding up is a bad habit depending on the game, tap is better for execution of the air combo after, but otherwise I agree. Just wanted to point that out in case people went to do a few of the wonky +R, Xrd, BBCF jump combos that require you to be pretty precise in the window
People still sleep on Grappler too. He can ignore the range discrepancy with his counter and charge. Once he's close enough to get one knockdown or plus frames he can 2-touch with super ambiguous shit.

Everyone is way behind by focusing on the seemingly degenerate fullscreen button characters with goofy gimmicks, but a few have already figured out that Striker and Grappler are truly ignorant to all of it.
The two of them are going to start winning everything once the zoner honeymoon is over.
People still think Crusader would be S Tier even if they patch the infinite out. People are wrong about tiers ask the time early on and in this game everybody has such high highs that it's even harder. Inquis is looking the weakest right now because of her reliance on Wheel but she would be busted in most other games.

I don't use her but she's threatened me the least online. She seemed more threatening in the beta, not sure if Roll being better or some sort of nerf to her pressure was the cause or what, but I can space her out without much issue and don't care that much about Flame Carpet because it forces distance. She only makes you sweat if you get hit with the Cum Chalice.
Because, and this is going to be controversial but frick it, she is hands down the worst character in the game.
She has a DP, a kara cancel...and that's it. No other redeeming features whatsoever. Trash zoning, trash setplay, slow-ass buttons, mediocre GC, no health, moving the doll means tossing oki in the bin...the list goes on.
I genuinely don't get what players like Diaphone see in her. Even if she really was as good as they seem to think she is, you can get the same results for 5% of the effort with almost any other character in the game. And that's literally what they're doing right now!

It's a rough one for sure, but you're doing well on offense. Nice stagger pressure, mixing up your options and when you go for the throw, etc, and you're starting to react to 4S (the succ) shenanigans. Good stuff. >you love to see the big damage bombos
Hell yeah I do. This was a 2A starter and it did like 80% (granted, a bit of that was prior white health, but still).
I think it's incredible that landing that 5[S], the near-full-screen punch, and OTG'ing with a super deals 40% by itself, just from a random smack.
Fellow Enchantress anon if you're still here, do you have some general tips, and maybe more to share?
I started playing her recently and having a good time but I still find myself struggling a lot against certain characters like Hitman and Launcher.
I watched some videos and I understand you really need to use her 5MS to cancel some hits and briefly go back to neutral, which is important for combos and pressure.
In matches though I usually try to zone my opponent out and fish for punishes. But against Ranger or Launcher I'm having a tough time
Enchantress by design struggles against zoners and people with big buttons, so its an uphill battle, I suggest summoning Madd and just slowly walking him up to cover some space. You can move him up by just holding the block button. Make some reads by rolling in or jumping over stuff, dont get too zealous since her roll sucks.
5MS is to psyche people out. The cancels themselves are not plus, you are safe but you can't really pressure. The idea is that you scare people from pressing afterwards from the fear of continuing your string. For instance, you do 5A 5B 2B but instead of going through you do 5A 5B 5MS, 5A 2B 5MS on the first hit, etc.
It's easy to whiff punish people when they hit your bear since they get hitstop, you can react to them hitting Madd and see if you can whiff punish or simply gain some extra ground.
If you find yourself dropping her combos, just end them early with 6H or just do 2B into the puppet cancel, it's more important to take the oki and have more chances to do more damage.
I knew that if you got me locked down in corner or got me in a combo while in Awakening it was over. I'd never fought a Dragon Knight until today so it was interesting, you learned you could run under my fireball before I did but the MU shifted a little again when I recognized it and started responding earlier.
I gotta see if Crusader has better combos than my baby mode improv stuff and I gotta try and work on pressure to make up for sort of bad defense on account of slow buttons and a throwable "DP". Your setplay was nuts
I've been able to run under some of the other character's (Launcher) projectiles before so it was something I had to try when it was clear jumping over or rolling past them weren't working. I don't know how I'd be able to deal with that menace of a fireball otherwise other than just down-backing.
And who is the fastest? In SFV most characters got a 3f button they can mash. I wanna know the fastest one in this game to be sure it will work on all characters.
For someone like Lost Warrior, your fastest button is 10f and whiffs on crouchers, so you're probably gonna be mashing your 11f 2A. That's the price to pay for being an SNK boss.
The fastest buttons are 5f, like Striker's 5A.
i tested it in training mode and the parry doesnt work on true meaties/safejumps and doesnt work on lows at all

The fastest normals are not as relevant in DNF as they are in SFV because it's far more common that you will not be in range for any of them to land. Even in common scramble situations like throw tech in the corner, the fastest buttons are useless because they won't reach.
GGs anon, your ghost blade wasn't bad, if you sneak in some throws at point blank with your ghost up it could be real scary. I wonder if you could do the three hit ghost summon and grab someone between the 1st and 2nd hit.
If you think enchantress is going to doll cancel, mash, normal into moving the doll is NOT plus. However, if she's already controlling the doll, it's a bit more risky since she frame traps you, just wait for the throw and be wary of guard break. Her command grab is busted so if you ever see her at point blank without the doll being controlled pray that she doesn't just grab you.
yeah i'm pretty bad about strike throw in general. i think it's something i'd need to incorporate with my ranger if i wanted to make that character work, but he's so frustrating to play. there's also a bunch of times i just dropped my input or did a DP instead which got me killed
i still gotta figure out what ench's strings are and when there's gaps i can exploit. i could tell the command grab is terrifying in the corner. thanks for the tips
Nope, you can't block as a puppet, or the short moment when you turn back to normal. As a puppet you can only walk, jump, or do a jab with 5A. Probably one of her better moves.

So I'm trying to learn Dragon Knight and I just feel like I can barely convert off anything I do, I need to combo into her 2S since it's the launcher that sets up her confirm into the hitgrab but the range just never seems to connect unless I'm point blank while every other character in the game seems like they can easily convert a stray hit into a 70% combo. Does DK just suck at conversions or am I missing something?
2S is indeed where all of Dragon Knight's big combos come from. If you not at a spacing to land it than just go into 214MP and set up some kind of pressure

PC. You can cancel the first hit of 4S with flight with is great for mixes and escaping if they hold block. I think my biggest problem is using Astra outside of her corner combo, it seems like Astra is suppose to save your ass when approaching but I always seem to use it only for the opponent to knock it away. She doesn't seem too bad overall, her win condition is just "corner them and do your frick ridiculous corner combo", but neutral feels a little rough I feel.

This is the combo I use. It's pretty straightforward except for the delayed 5{C}, not hard but it's been throwing me off at times. This is basically THE Dragon Knight combo it seems like. It's universal, does a frick ton of damage, and keeps them in the corner. I've seen some players do fancy combos in to the triple fireball followup with Astra at mid screen but I'm just still doing basic b***h 5A > 5B > 2S > 4A > 214M right now basically.
Beside her conversion ability being underwhelming I really like her. Really well rounded but has some real fun stuff with her flight cancels.

Troubleshooter bros, how do I keep a combo going with 4MS? I see videos of people doing 5S>4MS>2A which activates the bomb, but I can't seem to make it flow properly.
Its a microdash extension. PERSONALLY, I would juat go for the practical j.M OTG extensions and end it with 4M oki. The grenade extension microdash 2A is easy to flub, and the reward isnt at all that worth it

He can loop 2B xx 5S, j.M for corner carry then just end on 214M instead for the oki once you reach the corner. The first rekka hit is cheap so you can generally get a couple loops without having a ton of MP.

Grappler is too high effort and high risk for low reward. Vanguard's "niche" of long reaching normals becomes a nothingburger when 80% of the cast also has them and he has nothing else to compensate. Ranger is weird in that he is 100% matchup dependent, either he has no chance to lose or no chance to win and there's no in between.

My problem with grappler is I hate his combo flow. It feels very arbitrary. I also just loathe Kara canceling. It feels like a frickup that devs decided to make a feature after the first game it appeared in.
vanguard is the one character that stands out to me because his strength is just big buttons and block damage in a game where there are several characters who have slightly smaller buttons and slightly worse block damage but have extra shit on top of that. if I want to hit people with a big sword and be sad I dont have a DP I can play ghostblade, if I want my entire mixup to be "you better mash or I'm gonna gb you" I can play ranger or launcher. I can play berserker and have both but also kill myself slowly which is an interesting nuance. His only other thing is that he has some rekka stuff going on but why would I bother when I can play striker who literally gets to cancel everything into everything
he feels very function man where you can get work done if you read the opponent and isn't obviously horrible but just kind of not very good in a game where seemingly everyone else, even characters who have horrible flaws, have crazy strengths too

By most anime standards BCup is flat relative to anything shy of pure washboard. Striker is fit and still has DD or so, Launcher is 6'7" and has around an F or G (her frame probably increases the size of bra she needs), DK is as short as Enchantress and has fat honkers.

Granblue tried to be a grounded footsie game with some anime mechanics/gimmicks and a cooldown system. Despite DNF sharing a Guard button and the option to do specials with or without motions, it's a much more aggressive and high-character-power game. Any DNF character dropped into GBVS as-is would be Top Tier, ebbed the ones that are weak within DNF..

The stubby normals, also her pressure game isn't really great. But she's fun as frick to hit buttons with and that she checks so many of my boxes is a nice bonus.

I try and use shoulder tackle or charged grab, but I almost always get stuffed in the startup frames or memed on with a low. If I try and get a read with a counter I get lowed or catch nothing and get punished during recovery. Jump charged axe kick works when I'm not against characters whose full screen buttons also cover tons of airspace. Seems like my only option is rolling but if they're going Unga bunga and canceling the whiffed move into whatever they were gonna do on hit/block I get hit. I've tried just dash blocking or walk blocking but everything comes out so fast I just get hit.

okay in that case Using your magic skill in the air is probably one of your beat neutral cheats. you can do it low to the ground and it's hard to punish, plus it gets a full combo. Otherwise if you ever get locked down don't be afraid to guard cancel or DP

To get good at a game they enjoy? Even the players who are stomping you likely took several months in other fighting games before they were able to adapt to other games quickly. And even then I'm sure they had tough time adapting to games that aren't similar to ones they previously enjoyed playing.
Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is having a high win rate. The goal of every player should be to spend enough time that they reach 50% eventually.

They're just numbers and ranks shouldn't matter (especially in one where you can choose where to start from bronze to gold). The real place to grind is player lobbies. I would recommend going there if you actually want to see improvement. You can even chat with the other players and discuss why you might be losing to their tricks.

The blockstun (which again, hardly matters) is quite literally the only thing she has going for her. Some characters get to have literally all the things she lacks while it feels like they backpedaled on her balance way too hard (perhaps from player whining in betas) and shipped her as a puppy with a broken spine

If it's anything like the beta, I fricking hate simple specials and with I could toggle them off. Trying to do the motions 5 out of 10 time is going to give you the wrong special.
the only real problem I've had with it is that I mash too quickly during cancels which isn't a problem in any other game since 21K4KKKKK is still a tatsu in street fighter but here it'll register the 1M as a simple input dragon punch. However most inputs don't have to be canceled that quickly so I'm usually fine.

It's cancellable on block, except you don't need to block it because if you hold backwards for 1 nanosecond you'll have moved far enough away to make it whiff. It will also fail to AA all disjointed air attacks because they'll go through it without it connecting.

Should be noted that Crusader's is not a true DP. It's a projectile that has armor on startup. A meaty projectile will clash and remove the hitbox (DK j.S lets her cover the option and punish without even committing), and you can just throw him out of startup (this is the main reason why Grappler vs Crusader is actually in Grappler's favor).

Crusader fricks her hard. He literally just has to either stand outside of 5B range or down back within it and wait for anything other than 5AA5B then smack her out of startup with 5B, 5S, or 236M into a 25-40% combo. With the chip damage he can Conversion into bigger damage too. Worst case, your 5S trades with her 5S and you still get the better deal out of it because she took more damage and you pushed her further towards the corner.

Nah, fighting game numbers have been shifting to pc for a while. IIRC both Strive and Tekken have double the playerbase on PC and it's supposed to be slightly above playstation for jive too.
I get that older games with rollback updates tend to be more popular, but I've been able to get matches for Tekken quicker on Playstation. Most of my jive matches have been against PS4 players too.

Even though I've played more PS4 users in jive, they were mostly Mexicans or Americans doing jump-ins with Ryu/Ken/Akuma. They literally cannot process anti-airs, and a decent use of AAs was enough to carry me pass Gold. Even if Playstation has more players, it does have more morons who are incapable of learning beyond pressing buttons.

People still sleep on Grappler too. He can ignore the range discrepancy with his counter and charge. Once he's close enough to get one knockdown or plus frames he can 2-touch with super ambiguous shit.
Big buttons are a facade in this game.
Everyone is way behind by focusing on the seemingly degenerate fullscreen button characters with goofy gimmicks, but a few have already figured out that Striker and Grappler are truly ignorant to all of it.
The two of them are going to start winning everything once the zoner honeymoon is over.
People still think Crusader would be S Tier even if they patch the infinite out. People are wrong about tiers ask the time early on and in this game everybody has such high highs that it's even harder. Inquis is looking the weakest right now because of her reliance on Wheel but she would be busted in most other games.

I don't use her but she's threatened me the least online. She seemed more threatening in the beta, not sure if Roll being better or some sort of nerf to her pressure was the cause or what, but I can space her out without much issue and don't care that much about Flame Carpet because it forces distance. She only makes you sweat if you get hit with the Cum Chalice.

Because, and this is going to be controversial but frick it, she is hands down the worst character in the game.
She has a DP, a kara cancel...and that's it. No other redeeming features whatsoever. Trash zoning, trash setplay, slow-ass buttons, mediocre GC, no health, moving the doll means tossing oki in the bin...the list goes on.
I genuinely don't get what players like Diaphone see in her. Even if she really was as good as they seem to think she is, you can get the same results for 5% of the effort with almost any other character in the game. And that's literally what they're doing right now!

Yeah she has the lowest health, you love to see the big damage bombos. I think for once I'll have to sit down and practice that matchup damn it.
It's a rough one for sure, but you're doing well on offense. Nice stagger pressure, mixing up your options and when you go for the throw, etc, and you're starting to react to 4S (the succ) shenanigans. Good stuff.

Hell yeah I do. This was a 2A starter and it did like 80% (granted, a bit of that was prior white health, but still).
I think it's incredible that landing that 5[S], the near-full-screen punch, and OTG'ing with a super deals 40% by itself, just from a random smack.
Fellow Enchantress anon if you're still here, do you have some general tips, and maybe more to share?
I started playing her recently and having a good time but I still find myself struggling a lot against certain characters like Hitman and Launcher.
I watched some videos and I understand you really need to use her 5MS to cancel some hits and briefly go back to neutral, which is important for combos and pressure.
In matches though I usually try to zone my opponent out and fish for punishes. But against Ranger or Launcher I'm having a tough time
Enchantress by design struggles against zoners and people with big buttons, so its an uphill battle, I suggest summoning Madd and just slowly walking him up to cover some space. You can move him up by just holding the block button. Make some reads by rolling in or jumping over stuff, dont get too zealous since her roll sucks.
5MS is to psyche people out. The cancels themselves are not plus, you are safe but you can't really pressure. The idea is that you scare people from pressing afterwards from the fear of continuing your string. For instance, you do 5A 5B 2B but instead of going through you do 5A 5B 5MS, 5A 2B 5MS on the first hit, etc.
It's easy to whiff punish people when they hit your bear since they get hitstop, you can react to them hitting Madd and see if you can whiff punish or simply gain some extra ground.
If you find yourself dropping her combos, just end them early with 6H or just do 2B into the puppet cancel, it's more important to take the oki and have more chances to do more damage.

I knew that if you got me locked down in corner or got me in a combo while in Awakening it was over. I'd never fought a Dragon Knight until today so it was interesting, you learned you could run under my fireball before I did but the MU shifted a little again when I recognized it and started responding earlier.
I gotta see if Crusader has better combos than my baby mode improv stuff and I gotta try and work on pressure to make up for sort of bad defense on account of slow buttons and a throwable "DP". Your setplay was nuts
I've been able to run under some of the other character's (Launcher) projectiles before so it was something I had to try when it was clear jumping over or rolling past them weren't working. I don't know how I'd be able to deal with that menace of a fireball otherwise other than just down-backing.

That depends on your character. Usually 2A and 5A.
And who is the fastest? In SFV most characters got a 3f button they can mash. I wanna know the fastest one in this game to be sure it will work on all characters.

For someone like Lost Warrior, your fastest button is 10f and whiffs on crouchers, so you're probably gonna be mashing your 11f 2A. That's the price to pay for being an SNK boss.
The fastest buttons are 5f, like Striker's 5A.
That guy at least has a real 0f parry so he's not really lacking defensivewise
i tested it in training mode and the parry doesnt work on true meaties/safejumps and doesnt work on lows at all
its garbage, only really useful for people doing blockstrings with gaps where you know theyre gonna follow up with some mid hitting special or to parry jump-ins with

The fastest normals are not as relevant in DNF as they are in SFV because it's far more common that you will not be in range for any of them to land. Even in common scramble situations like throw tech in the corner, the fastest buttons are useless because they won't reach.

GGs anon, your ghost blade wasn't bad, if you sneak in some throws at point blank with your ghost up it could be real scary. I wonder if you could do the three hit ghost summon and grab someone between the 1st and 2nd hit.
If you think enchantress is going to doll cancel, mash, normal into moving the doll is NOT plus. However, if she's already controlling the doll, it's a bit more risky since she frame traps you, just wait for the throw and be wary of guard break. Her command grab is busted so if you ever see her at point blank without the doll being controlled pray that she doesn't just grab you.
yeah i'm pretty bad about strike throw in general. i think it's something i'd need to incorporate with my ranger if i wanted to make that character work, but he's so frustrating to play. there's also a bunch of times i just dropped my input or did a DP instead which got me killed
i still gotta figure out what ench's strings are and when there's gaps i can exploit. i could tell the command grab is terrifying in the corner. thanks for the tips

Nope, you can't block as a puppet, or the short moment when you turn back to normal. As a puppet you can only walk, jump, or do a jab with 5A. Probably one of her better moves.
