I tried playing but it was very stale with almost no challenge. I would also instantly delete any boss I fought at the end of an area, which is not the case in most beat em ups? When does the game get difficult?
They nerfed the early game YEARS ago, honestly it gets harder in 40+ level areas, you're supposed to breeze past the baby tier crap.

Launcher should be 1 of the 2 since it doesn't look like it takes too much commitment to learn her (wants to be at zoning distance most times unless you have your opponent in corner and need to do 1 stylish combo to finish them).

i'm more excited for DNF Duel and i'll tell you why. SF6 is still a year away, which means Super SF6 (the fun version of the game) is probably two and a half, maybe three years away. DNF Duel is coming out in a couple days. that means Super DNF Duel is closer, assuming the game doesn't die before then. i never play the vanilla version of fighting games anymore.

The beta was a lot of fun.
I tried to play the MMO but couldn't get into it. Didn't really have anyone to play with though.
The Fighting game is fun though.
you would of loved the pre 2013 era. Good difficulty length, good trades, fair challenges if you were prepared and skilled (playing monk to dodge and sway oncoming attack then dishing out high dps)
Any characters that have special counter moves? I really enjoy calling out my opponents when they hit buttons too fast.

Most people were too hyped up to realize it during the beta, but having no reliable form of movements meant characters like ghost/crusader/vanguard almost became automatic wins as every option you have to get in could be shut down in multiple ways.
Grappler Vs Vanguard is unwinnable if the Vanguard has some braincells. Low medium beats grappler's parry/charge and started a combo. If he jumped, the jump is so fricking slow and wonky you have time to whiff a button then anti-air.
Game is a joke but it'll take a while for everyone to realize cos fgc hypetrain wooooooo.
Crusader has literally everything with no drawback. If you want a character with a counter, a DP reversal, fullscreen launchers, 2 projectiles, a kunoichi/inquis style big long hitbox, easy confirms and 1 button combos, pick Crusader.
Sick of these low effort broken shells of a game getting hyped up so much. Also vanguard in his awakening has a ToD on block. You get one chance to guard cancel it, but good luck since for most of the on block ToD, he's out of range.
What do you want, the most perfectly balanced game in existence? Also why not play Swift Master or a character with teleport if you want speed? Even SF has different walkspeed/dash.

The point is that vanguard can do BOTH every single interaction in neutral, dumbass. He shuts down both options simultaneously making it unplayable for the grappler. I know this cos I did for about 40 matches in the 2nd beta.

I didn't get to play the beta. I know it has a more Smash Bros type input system for specials. Does this make the game easier to get into or is it still tough to learn, like most fighting games?
you'll pull the moves off easier but actually doing combos and other stuff still has an execution requirement.
Just doing moves and stringing them together is simple enough with the dedicated special button, and even if you decide you want to be optimal, the worst the game has is 236s and 623s. The thing is that like basically any other fighting game, what's inevitably going to make this game hard for beginners isn't inputs, its going to be other players who already understand how to play fighting games and aren't just going to let you do what you want.

Granblue was more expensive and with worse netcode and had a good player base for a while because the publisher didn't want to address those issues until it was too late.
