The point of Wheel in pressure is to use her command dash to cross up during it. It forces Guard Button usage to guarantee higher guard damage, or else they get hit mid-wheel for an easy confirm.

inquis players are the ky players of this game. you have the fire, the rush special and the air spin all of which will beat people trying to mash out of wheel setup and all of which start a combo, and then also you have probably the best DP in the game which also starts a combo if you have the oil on them
the character can't just put wheel up 100% of the time because that would be moronic, it gives you time to almost fully recover the mp used while still getting a high/low jump in mixup or a 'push them 1 pixel out of the wheel and throw/mid them' mixup and being something that beats out basically every projectile in the game, can't be jumped past, and requires you to roll at a very specific range where inquis can just punish your recovery to get past. wheel is plenty good - if she also had launcher/ranger tier guard breaks with it despite having way better air moves it would be moronic
Theres like 1 inquis in deity and nobody plays her in tournaments. Her mixups during wheel are slow as shit, you can just fuzzy block it. The enemy can guard cancel whenever he wants out of it, but why would he, theres no threat to be guard broken. She relies completely on stagger pressure, but that kind of pressure is hot garbage when the enemy can downback and mash dp during blockstun. And even if you land a hit, her damage is really low.

Its not like inquis is some secret complex character that has hidden tech. In fact shes one of the most straightforward character in the game so she should be strong week 1. Throw reward is extremely low in this game, you dont even get good oki if its not in the corner. And it still loses against dp mash during wheel blockstun.

Nobody is mashing DP, the risk reward is just shit if you try to throw them and they know they have that option. In a world where people can 60% you from fullscreen, break your guard when youre blocking at low mana, instant overhead you etc. inquisitor is just lacking with her low dmg and lowest hp value in the game.

16 without any assets reused is a pretty damn solid start, especially for a game sold under full retail. That's enough to cover every playstyle (except shotos I guess).

He's underrated right now because his range is small, but if you make one good read with his armor or counters he can win in 2 knockdowns. His Awakening passive sucks but his super is actually quite good.
Wouldn't say low tier, because his parry works against long screen normals. It'll just vacuum the opponent right in if you can't reach him. And against Launchers and Rangers, yeah you still have shoulder charge but it's gonna be hard.

I've had some of the smoothest rollback matches in DNF personally. Worst rollback I've played in was actually Fantasy Strike, but that game kind of sucks in general.
I went online to see what it was like. Tried Bronze. I fought two opponents that were okay but not great, whatever. It's what you'd expect from beginner rank, though one guy had like 35 wins, but whatever. So the next guy shows up, title card says "I'm a beginner" and he proceeds to do 50% strings and I get decimated. Fun. The next opponent is a Berserker with 50+ wins who, again, proceeds to decimate me. This is how this game operates? Everyone in beginner is -that- good? Or is it Smurf land? The first couple opponents felt decent and like they were learning the game. The LW and Berserker I fought were clearly NOT beginners in any capacity. I think I'd rather go back to Strive or something else.

Simple inputs =/= casual game as well; Power Rangers has no motion inputs outside of the SF guests but it's one of the fastest games on the market and rewards matchup knowledge, high level tech, and confirming any stray hit into the most possible damage.

because i really don't like smash inputs outside of platform fighters, and i really don't like the GBVS style of being an anime fightan but being grounded and slow. also whilst i understand all the multi-OTG combo extensions are an interpretation of the beat'em up source game, it looks dumb as a fightan mechanic and also really frustrating to sit and watch yourself get combo's like that
it's really pretty i'll give it that, though since the characters are from an MMO they look more like unimportant npcs than protagonists.
basically i know i really won't like playing it, when i can barely stand watching it for more than 5 minutes.
