Do /vp/ play Pokedoku? Why do I suck so much at it even if I played all the games?

i like it, it's a cute puzzle
the uniqueness score kinda ends up being redundant though, since it usually just leads to people trying to choose intentionally obscure picks, which ironically makes less unique
I got into Pokedoku for a while but it was really annoying having multiple days in a row where the answer was only ever a single Pokemon or line. Like woweee what could possibly be both Grass and Ice type??
I liked to go for the highest unique ranking but the people designing this really prefer to try to go "gotcha! here's a rare type combo! that only 3 Pokemon have!" and then you need to guess which one of those three other people aren't guessing.
I failed today's one
How is Flygon not Ground Flying.
oh no no bros anon didn't remember that Flygon is the Levitate tutorial from 2003...
I remembered he was Ground, but I was sure he was Flying. He's an Antlion, not a Dragonfly. And the actual Dragonfly does not become Dragon until he unevolve to a prehistoric form. Pokemon, please
since this one was made by smogon I immediately thought of Landorus
but I fricked up in the legendary water
why are mythicals their own thing?
Dont know. Mythicals and Ultra Beasts are not legendaries, so I got had with some Mythicals I thought were Legendaries.
Are you moronic? Genuine question. I never got more than one wrong, usually when I try to be cheeky with some shitty mythical. How do you not know basic stuff like types?
most people don't have an encyclopedic memory of pokemon that correspond to every type
I barely remember the name of my cousins and if they have kids, you think I'll remember over a 1000 of Pokemons where 98% of them I capture once, put in a bank and never touch again?
shut the frick up white beoy
I'm not sure I get it, OP. do people compete for points somehow? what do you the percentages mean?
or are you saying you couldn't think of Pokemon to fit all of the 9 combinations needed to win today? I only played up to gen 4 and I managed
% is how many people who played it so far took the same Pokemon as you. People usually want less than 10% to feel unique.
I remembered Swambert, but I couldnt remember his name. Tried all type of Mud or kip . I suck with names in general, so typing is a pain.
don't forget again b***h homie
I'm :
pretty mad at myself for missing Porygon. but otherwise nah I never heard of any of these frickin mons
I forgot Lugia is not a fricking water type
>can only play once a day
Wtf is the point of this? This isn’t interesting enough for me to ever come back to again, but I want to play for more than just one shitty puzzle. Also it seems like you can use duplicate pokemon, and if you can thats moronic
It's like a Wordle. You go back tomorrow and try it again to see how you do compared to other people.
The average today was 7.2 Points
Sounds autistic. This was the part that made me think you could use duplicates, and if that is the case then it violates the one rule of sudoku
>This was the part that made me think you could use duplicates
you can't, that anon is only showing the least common picks
Yeah, here the most common answers.
Why is Duraludon so hard to remember as a name.
its design sucks, so you want to forget that it exists
It's not really a sudoku, outside of a 9 case system, it has nothing to do with it
>sounds autistic
where do you think you are
Squirdle was more fun. Remembering types is too easy.
memorizing heights/weights is kinda bullshit tho
I don't like that these grid games don't give you any spare guesses. I suppose it's to make people be sure of what they're entering and not just guess randomly but the punishment for being wrong is too much. It should just penalize your score for a particular box if you're wrong instead of making you unable to complete the whole thing.
I only got 8 of 9 but it was actually entirely my own fault this time because I read the alert that mythical were excluded from the legendary row and still entered one like a dumbass.
I wish I could do more than one per day
I haven't played anything past gen 6 so I get filtered a lot but I've been having a fun time with it. Checking the answers at the end has been helping me learn, it reminds me of flash card study sessions.
I'm the same way, I haven't played past sun and moon.
I like it, except for mythicals. Mythicals are the most "um, actually" pokemon category of all time.
I skipped gen 5, 8 and 9 and my only experience with them is randbats on showdown so some puzzles are pretty tough for me.
Also this, mythical/legendaries are arbitrary bullshit.
Nah mythicals are really easy to remember. Banned from vgc. Im not even a vgc player and remember instantly
no the most "um, actually" pokemon category is ultra beasts being separate from legendaries
bit too easy
I like it.
Fun.
Wish I could play it more than once a day.
It's ok, I have trouble with certain criteria such as stone evo, gens 4-6, and some megas.
Its fun but I wish there was an archive for old puzzles. Whenever I log on I always feel like playing 1 or 2 more boards
ty for the reminder to do today's, OP
i've been doing it nearly every day
It’s up
I fricking hate 'evolved by trade' and 'evolved by stone' categories.
Took me a solid 5 minutes to find porygon2
This was admittedly really fun!
Actually forgot Porygon was a tradeable. Dammit. I put Blissey and got it wrong
Honestly kinda hate it. I haven't played anything past gen 4 so I cant answer any of these. I did todays puzzle and had to look up answers, there were no electric dragons or normal grass types before gen 5, I cant answer these. It would be fun if I could limit it by gens.
They do it sometimes. Like "Hoenn" is a category that can happen
