I've looked into online sex cults unironically. You usually have to look towards harder BDSM control-based kinks, shit where someone is busting into your computer with Teamviewer and monitoring what you do. From my experience, the most cult-y groups were discord servers that had significant amounts of member control and influence, that's ultimately what it comes down to. Nah, I just use their latest model, Kayra, and the Fresh Coffee preset. I tweak it a little bit here and there, but for the most part it just works out of the box.

Oh yeah, we have come a long way from that. You still need to wrangle it a bit, but it is pretty good about remembering shit from context. You can also use lorebooks to give more elaborate detail for characters/things/concepts/places... etc. There are also fields where you can enter things that you might not need long term but want to make sure the AI remembers.
Run a local model then. KoboldAI is what you want.

Most that did are long gone now, MMOs don't support socialization in a way most people expect as bare minimum now, so it's all moved to discord. You can still find groups in games that will then funnel you to discord but that's probably not what you want.
You can try to find the ERP groups in MMOs, they get pretty cultish but again, it all hinges on discord and out of game social platforms cause in-game just isn't good enough.

There's a generational and cultural (and the two entertwined) shift happening in roleplay in XIV, the shift being to second life/IMVU or pseudo-club roleplay. It wasn't anything serious, entirely in-game, and it was heaps of fun.
It was started by me, some of my ventrilo friends, and we'd recruit other players into our cult. We built an underground lair, all pig themed, burning braziers and torches everywhere, and then there was the initiation ritual. We'd say some shit like "Do you reject hambeasts and all their works?" or some shit I don't fricking remember, and drop them down onto burning netherrack, and after they died, they were recruited into the piggy cult.
We all had the same skin, it was a red robe with gold trim, and a pig for face, it was meant to be a mask.
After that, we'd chase female players around on the server, make burning netherrack crosses in front of their base, call them hambeasts, and the whole time we'd just shit ourselves laughing in ventrilo.
This was around 2011-2012.

What you're looking for is a husband/wife "family" that plays an old, dead MMO. These usually operate the same way real cults do. They'll demand regular, mandatory attendance for events. They'll cut you off from interacting with the game's community broadly, and any deviation from Guild rules and hierarchy will be punished with threat of expulsion or exclusion from Guild events until you're sufficiently sorry.
For you to properly indoctrinate yourself in this Guild they should be your only avenue for social interaction. If you've got friends or social commitments in real life it's not going to work for you. The second you don't blow off an IRL social event to spend time with the Guild you're done. If you aren't able to do that, or aren't already in a situation that a cult Guild would be amenable to your everyday life, it's just not for you sorry.
So ideally what you're looking for is a Guild where the wife runs the show, the husband does the admin, and she's fricking hot. You need a hot wife Guild. People will be openly simping for her. AI was good for a hot moment but then they all went to shit and every week a new AI would come out that was supposedly not restricted but then it always got locked down the moment it became popular. I waited in a discord of a group that was supposedly pissed at CharecterAI and was going to make an AI that you could do anything with. It dragged on and on, missed deadline after missed deadline.
