The game is set 3,000 years before the Sith philosophy changed from "swing your dick the hardest and loudest" to "manipulate to advantage yourself however possible". Revan and Kreia were so far ahead of the curve that it took Bane literally copying Revan's teachings to catch up.
All of those choices are simply because they display the player's cunning and ability to manipulate the situation to their advantage. Notice killing Vrook nets no influence.
Kreia likes it because you're bending people to your will and manipulating them into doing what you want them to do.
Kreia's whole thing is crafting the Exile into someone who can kill the force. This involves both forming critical connections between people (and breaking them), and realizing that the light/dark side is bullshit and you shouldn't be doing them JUST to do them. You should be questioning everyone, even her, and rising above it.
She was the only companion who I cared about the opinions of, and it always makes me sad that I am forced against her.
