Divine divinity is kind of a meh cross between a crpg and diablo, and drops the ball on both. On the diablo side you have broken abilities, zero balance and dungeons that are literally just a square wave of back and forth corridors to pad out time. On the CRPG side its mostly just the quests and world design both of which are adequate at best.
Sacred 2 is probably a better example of what Divine divinity was trying to be, but by no means is it a good game either.
Divine Divinity is the only Larian game I have ever played to completion. All their others games are exceedingly ugly and the childish humor feels more earned there than in their other games

Ah yes because 30 FPS really hamper how controls work, unplayable. Like R-Type Delta on PS1 runs at 60 FPS only sometimes and most of the time it framedrops even below 30 FPS, does that make it a bad game? Would it be better if it always ran at 60 FPS? Wizardry 8 is a game that is basically unplayable without a mod that speeds up combat and even with that one is slow as molasses, the open world was obviously tacked on and that wastes even more of the player's time, the best Wizardry game is on PS2

All focus on the grind while not offering much else, they are low challenge games too but that's what you should expect from games that let you grind as much as possible. A computer game that mogs all of those if only for the fact that it doesn't reward grind is DCSS so give it a try.
Simcity isn't grind, it's something else entirely. Not really sure what I would call it. Minecraft really depends on how you play it, endlessly mining would count, autistically building doesn't, and you can "complete" the game without doing either.

Many of the best games ever made have low FPS or slow downs, the vast majority was intended to run at 30 FPS or less. I liked all the little details like the grass and dogflip. Since the Crysis/Ratchet one was showing interactive vs static plants. TLOU2 is one of the prettiest games ever, though, Crysis looks like shit. But that's more due to art direction than raw power.

Divine divinity is kind of a meh cross between a crpg and diablo, and drops the ball on both. On the diablo side you have broken abilities, zero balance and dungeons that are literally just a square wave of back and forth corridors to pad out time. On the CRPG side its mostly just the quests and world design both of which are adequate at best.
Sacred 2 is probably a better example of what Divine divinity was trying to be, but by no means is it a good game either.

No point when the original 1.5 is still pretty much playable. It just needs to run the main menu on windowed mode. The Level Cataloguer has a lot of interesting missions if you haven't played them yet.
