And then what I find is you buff once and then go on a hasted rtwp killing spree as fast as possible, you can squeeze out 3 or so combats before rebuffing the 1 round per level spells when you get the opportunity.
And if you can extend those spells like haste, divine power and eaglesoul then it gets a lot comfier.
Being forced to buff doesn't mean the combat is bad

the simple truth is that it stems from the disconnect between gameplay and story as far as character motivations go.
Wenduag wants you to be "strong" and betrays you if you aren't. The problem here is that the flags aren't always obvious on what she does or doesn't construe as strength. Moreover, when she does betray you, and attacks you, with a small cadre of demons, they're weak pissbabies who you literally 1 tap with basically any spell.
So you have this dumb spiderc**t who loves strength above all else, but she ditches the most powerful entity actively walking around the continent for some shit demon who literally wasn't in the plot until he shows up to say he cucked you before being obliterated in 3 seconds flat.
If you had a more clear cut rival, or if she had ditched you for an actually powerful demon and not some random shitter, her motivations might have seemed more reasonable. As it stands she comes off like a complete moron and everyone rightfully dislikes her for it.
I think the game was going with the explanation that she was basically a drug addict for the venom. It's really the only explanation as to why she a demigod who can smack around Demon Lords for a lower tier demon that ran away from you at level 3.

all powers come from demon blood, it just depends on how you use them, it would probably make the most sense if you had some connection to the fey roleplay wise, but it's not required or explicit.

LK has zero presence in Wrath. In every path your power comes from the same source, the only thing that mythic paths change is how you shape that power.

I'm in Act 4 and Azatas feel really weak. My previous characters were Angel and Trickster and by this point I was steamrolling enemies compared to Azata who doesn't really seem to be strong.

There's a fight about halfway through Blackwater in a giant lava pit. There's two Mythic Incubi, but they're a pushover because they have no Will resist and can be easily polymorphed. There's also three giant frick off demons whose names I don't remember, and they're seemingly immune to everything and can regenerate their entire health bar in a single turn. My entire team has shock weapons, and two of my team have shock touch spells, but it doesn't matter. I even installed Toy Box to cheat, to just keep healing my party to full, and after what was apparently like half an hour, I was still fighting those fricking demons.
Yeah kalavakuses or whatever the plural is, I just don't remember them being very gemmy or them regenerating to full, that room is cancer though, hardest encounter in the act I think

Blackwater is garbage, it's a shitty backer quest and as usual it's poorly designed trash. I did it the "legit" way once and never bothered again. Now I just treat it as free EXP and turn the difficulty down so I can just breeze through.
