Alolan Exeggutor is one that kind of invalidates the original. Maybe the only example. It's the only one where it feels like the whole ethos behind the design was improving upon the original idea. I don't mind it but that's what the case seems to be with it.

Not quite the same since Teddiursa evolves into Ursaluna. Regionals don’t help the orignals.
fair point. I guess taking Vulpix as an example, I like Alolan Vulpix more than Kantonian Vulpix, but I still enjoy both

Golem and Dugtrio suck that people gravitate back to the original. The good ones invalidate the original with better designs, stats and types.
It depends on which regional we're talking about. I think some are a downgrade while others are an upgrade. Picrel is an example of an upgrade.

Ninetales, Sandslash and Marowak being dull because their Alolan forms are so much more interesting
it makes the original more breedable if not the same.
