Do y’all think we’ll be getting AI-generated games pretty soon? Seeing what SoraAI can do makes me think the whole industry is going to get turned upside down

Damn, AI finally learned to make the correct number of fingers? And on separate people too? Impressive indeed.

You're joking but the fact that AI is now able to keep that much consistency between pics is really impressive.

Why would you want AI-generated games? The Internet has allowed us to access an unprecedented amount of free information, and yet people aren't better informed than they were 20 years ago. While reading and mathematics aptitude increased during the '00s, it plateaued in the '10s and is declining. The vast majority of information available online is either worthless garbage that's only ever read because of SEO, or worthless garbage that treats the viewer's attention like a commodity (because it is).

AI is going to give us an unprecedented amount of free (to create) content, and I don't see how it's going to be any different from what happened with information on the Internet. We're still in its infancy, but multiple sites already filter out AI-generated content because people simply don't want to see it. What's going to happen when it becomes indistinguishable from human stuff? What's going to happen when the barrier to entry is so low that every moron with a half-decent PC can flood the Internet with worthless content?

All that's going to happen is people begging for AI-generated content to be responsibly tagged or ID'd.

The more technology evolves, the weaker we'll be, because it will require less and less effort to achieve everything. It will require a very strong will to be able to improve ourselves.

Nothing? The internet is already flooded with worthless content. There'll just be more of it. We'll just need more sophisticated algos to sort through it to get the goods, like always.

Nvidia engineers seem to think so, but I'm going to have to doubt, drawing a convincing scene is one thing, having an AI keep that consistent across playthroughs, updates, etc. sounds hard.
