Friend Ball is for Apples only. Saves a lot of effort on getting balls when you can just breed apples.

Tried making one a while back but gave up pretty quickly, might try to continue at some point when there's time. I'll post what I have if I can find it and the thread is still here after lunch.
Problem with this is it has so many that don't fit thematically. Dive Ball is on so many things just because it's blue, but to me you should never use Dive Ball on anything not water related, you shouldn't use the Heavy Ball on small/light mons, and the Moon Ball should be for things associated with the Moon or at least space.

Yeah, I don't really color coordinate too well though so I just try to match the primary colors. Maybe I'll look for another Zorua in a Moon Ball instead.
How the hell did you manage this? It's not like you can just catch a Hisuian Zorua with a Beast Ball, and unless I missed something there wasn't a Hisuian Zoroark raid, so the only one that should be in an unusual ball is the DLC Preorder gift one, right?
Everstone lets you pass down the form of the Pokemon holding it, and if both parents are of the same Pokemon (a normal Zorua in a Beast Ball, and a fresh Hisui Zorua born from the DLC handout), each parent has a 50/50 chance to pass down their ball. So I just bred until I got a Hisui in a beast ball and went from there.
He showed up very early in the process, I'm glad I managed to get a 0 atk IV at least early on with the power bracer.

Sometimes, but frick the grind and artificial scarcity of apricorn/beast/dream balls. I duped a bunch of my favourite balls in the early SV patch and i'm saving my limited supply for the rarest stuff like legendaries and one-off encounters. If I don't have something better to match with, i'll default to premier or luxury balls.
I catch all my Pokemon, legendaries included, in regular pokeballs.

I don't get hyper autistic about it, usually I just use Poké Balls but if there's another ball that looks nice or matches them I'll go for that (within reason, I'm not made of Apriballs)
Quick Balls and Dusk Balls are pretty ugly/clashing for most Pokémon, so I avoid using them
I usually catch the mons i want early down the story, so mostly regular balls (Even though i want diversity in my balls :/ )
Somewhat, i keep my "A-Team" sorted, and on my first run i generally stick to premiers for mons i gonna use and if a mon really makes me think "This ball was MADE for that Mon" i use that Ball.
I basically sort my "A-Team" (Read: Fully trained Mons) Boxes sorted by Balls like this.
Poké (IE: Gift Mons event mons and In-Game Trades)
Premier (IE: Default ball for mons i caught myself and i see no obvious BALLTISM ball for.)
Cherish (No Explanation should be needed, But it is Event Mons)
Beast (It looks great and goes with surprisingly many mons, not just the UBs and Space Trio, but the Pardoxes and Miraidon too, that's practically a full box right there)

The only way to obtain them is in Gen 9 is either as rewards for the Academy Ace Tournament (Beast, Dream, Fast, Friend, Heavy, Level, Love, Lure and Moon Ball each have 0.1% chance, totaling 0.9% chance for all of them).
Alternatively, all of them can spawn as a purchasable (expect to pay about $500,000 each) auction item in Porto Marinada, with the exception of the Beast Ball.
The Sport Ball and Safari Ball are currently unobtainable in Scarlet and Violet but are still recognised and have models if you transfer Pokemon from previous games that were caught with them.
Oh bummer, every single youtube video/guide I've seen has the genius solution of buying a turbo/modded controller and just auto battling the tournament 24/7 but that feels so counter to how I enjoy Pokemon, but a 1% chance when the tournament can only be done x amount of times per hour is such a downer.
